And, after giving Orchid a second try, I definately like them more now. All I heard before was their split with Pig Destroyer, and I unfairly labeled them as grind without actually listening. Now, I got Dance Tonight! Revolution Tomorrow!, and it's ill.
DTRT is my favorite release by them. This is the band that got me into any hardcore/emo music, and they're still one of my favorites.

Tragedy is way overrated. Good band, but they're hyped way too much. FAR and HHIG were both waaay better, and they don't have that good a live show. I saw 'em last summer at Chaos and it sucked, so this year I skipped their set and watched the Business. Now that was a good show.

Anyone else like Black Sabbath? I used to wave them off as another band trendy Hot Topic kids listen to, but people call them the godfathers of doom metal, so I took another listen. I like more of their less popular songs. Like, listen to "Electric Funeral", and you'll hear where doom metal/sludge bands get their influence.

Black Sabbath is one of those bands that can be hyped by trendy fags and still be ****ing awesome. Like J, I heard these guys growing up because my dad would listen to them all the time. The only half decent band there is 7 Seconds. Dude, Evan, Plead The Fifth sucks now. They never practice, and Gutto is the only one who even likes the band. We share a guitarist with them (Bill), and he really don't like PTF. They sucked at the Go It Alone/Ceremony show.
Oh, and, the lead singer of Rosevere, Sean, lives like a few blocks from me. I see him in Circle K sometimes.
I'm not going simply because I despise DCOi more than anything. I mean, DCOi = Deadly City Oi. THEY LIVE IN ****IONG DAVIS, A COLLEGE TOWN! How deadly: you might get offered a beer. Besides, I've kinda "outgrown" the rest of those bands. I used to be obsessed with most of them, especially Hanover Saints, Whiskey Rebels, and Monster Squad. BIG *** UPDATE from Team Fingerblast. . .
Hey folks, yes we know it's been a long time since anything's happened on this site. Time for an update. . .
Fresh back from the Brutal Truth reunion show this weekend in Chicago, which will probably be be the last show we play this year except for possibly playing a show to be part of the Toetag Picture's film August Underground's Penance (more on this when we know). It was a killer time playing with BT and the rest of the bands (Minsk, Plague Bringer). We certainly might not even be a band without BT.
speaking of Toetag. . . I just completed the score for their film REDSIN TOWER, on which I collaborated with Zombi's Steve Moore. The movie is a ****ing exhausting and brutal. Should be a classic. This is totally seperate from the Zombi Destroyer project that we were going to work on together, which will probably happen next year sometime. No rush on these things. They have to come out right. . .
We put the 7" single's series on hold until we complete the new full length this December. JR's already working on artwork wth John Baisley from Baroness.
Furthermore this site will likely idle down to archive mode until we start gearing up around the release of the new full length. But you're already used to no updates.
NEW BANDMATE: Please welcome Blake Harrison to the band. Yup you read it right, PD is now a 4 piece, and Blake is going to be running samples and noise live and on recordings. He's currently also in Baltmore rockers Triac and Hatebeek. He's a member of Team Fingerblast and will be updating the site, handling the web store (because we apparently can't get it together on our own). He'll be PD's mouthpiece. He's also the dude behind the the myspace page (I don't know what the hell it is right now). Personal interests: cigarettes, fingerbanging, drinking. . .
So, once again, no major facelifts or anything for this site until we close in on completing the new disc. Rest assured we're trying to burn out the carbon deposits an get this new ****er out to you by spring. And next year we'll definitely be hitting places we've never been.

The guys in Skarp are dicks. After we played with Oroku, Skarp messaged us bitching us out because Oroku only got like $16 for that show. Thing is, we didn't set up the show; in fact, we were added as the headliners like a week before the show. Oroku talked to us after Skarp did, apologizing for Skarp and telling us that they knew it wasn't out fault, that they had a lot of fun and liked our music, and even invited us to play with them and Skarp in Seattle. Hopefully, Oroku talked to Skarp and things are settled now. But Skarp's attitude ruined their music for us. They acted like some big-time celebrities, even bragging about how they toured in Europe.

I've never been too huge into the d-beat thing. Skitsystem and Wolfbrigade were always ok, at best.
Except the Wolfbrigade song Crucify. That song rules.

Yeah Kegcharge are probably my favorite dbeat band. Probably because they have so little material and I love the LP

Someone explain D-Beat to me, I've never taken the time to look into it. Is it really just ripping off Discharge?
