DRACULACORE is an interesting side project I have. We make grind or trip hop songs by improvising over beats we construct in the new Mac program Garage Band. The songs are idiosyncratic and often spaztic. Enjoy your self and leave comments.

as soon as i saw the genres and the name, I clicked as fast as i could... but then I listened to it. It wasn't too bad, but there wasn't enough movement and change in the music.

That's because it was trip hop. It's meant to be chill and unchanging. But don't worry, we're just getting started. The next song is going to be spookier and more epic. Stay tuned for the next installment.

Wait. There wasn't enough movement to "What Did the Deaf, Dumb, and Blind Boy Get for Christmas?" Check your pulse man! Are you sure you're...wait, what's that joke...

What's your address? :) A short, ridiculous EP should be available pretty soon at the rate we're going... Although maybe we'll spend some more time on newer material... but somehow I doubt it.

Turn up the volume thing. Then you can hear. Also, you obviously only listened to that first song. The second one requires no volume adjustment.

I just heard the little screaming intro and then someone said "Cancer" and it ended

The "screaming intro" you refer to is actually probably the entire song. It's 12 seconds. I'm appalled that you didn't hear the 3 guitar tracks though. Are you deaf? (No, seriously, are you? Cause that stuff's hard to miss.)

Ya it's in a genre called grind, who's goal is to be furious and spaztic and loud in a tiny segment. Those are the interludes for the longer tracks like the first one.

haha - yeah man, i'm aware of the genre. There just wasn't enough, even for this genre. I'm lookin forward to the next song though. And... the 2nd song was much too short - i like my grind longer and with many changes.
anyhow, i'll be checking out your next songs when they come out.

We already made the next song. It's about 20 seconds long. It's oddly melodic but it is definitely still grind.

Okay. There will be a new song up Tuesday night. That's hot obviously. As a new promotion we're letting you, the fans, suggest new song titles for the grind songs. They have to be at least a sentence long. Sentence fragments are allowed as well as long as they're at least like 6-8 words. Go!

Well, I guess I'll get around to listening to it now.

Here are some song names I wrote down a while back, and I'm not going to use them. They're really not that funny, but if for some reason you want to use one, knock yourself out.
"Nostradamus Didn't See This One Coming"
"This Song is the Single Greatest Accomplishment of the 21st Century"
"XxEdgestxxSongxxEverxX"
"No Mosh for the Opening Band"
"Well, I Tried Kicking a Live Horse, but That Didn't Go Over So Well"
"Impaled, Gutted, and Decapitated is the new Flannel"
"You Got Your Ass kicked by Boy George"

You may be wondering, "Why didn't DRACULACORE update after their Thursday recording session?" and "Why am I actually reading this?" but you have to realize that we're making a few longer metalcore songs to really flesh out the asserted genres in this thread. It's taking a while because GarageBand can in no way handle all the changing time signatures so we're figuring out ways to trick it. The new songs are in the ilk of Deftones, Dillinger Escape Plan, The Bled, Botch and Strung Out. We look forward to posting these in the future. For now keep on telling friends about our current songs.

Did we ever claim to be straight up grindcore? No. There are multiple genres in our description and even "improvisational" really leaves so much open to interpretation. Every Time I Die may in fact be more grind than us but that in no way effects what kind of music we are going to make.

Crap. There was an upload problem. The vocals are screwy and the bass drum is tepid. Also the song ends upbruptly when in reality there was a coherent end to the laughter in the original. We will have to fix this won't we.

As much as I love Draculacore, you should make the gutiar louder. Because while it is already a purely orgasmic listening experience, if you upped the guitar I could actually throwdown because some of the parts are pretty heavy and bring the mosh/breakdown.

I think the point is to have a terrible mix. I think the next summer's batch will contain drastically better mixed songs. I think this time we're going to spend more time making longer songs that have more of a consistent beat and more Garageband instruments. Then on top of that of course there will be grind guitar and screaming.
