Minor Threat is a hardcore punk band from the Washington DC area. They were one of the pioneers of the straight edge movement.

Ian MacKaye - vocals
Lyle Preslar - guitar
Brian Baker - bass
Jeff Nelson - drums

1.Filler – Possibly my favorite song by Minor Threat. Ian gives powering vocals while Lyle gives amazing power chords the solo is out of control at the end. Ian’s lyrics are awesome in this song.
2.I Don’t Wanna Hear It – This song is covered by many bands from Papa Roach to Rancid. This song is another one of Ian’s good vocal songs.
3.Seeing Red – Cool bass/guitar riff, not one of my favorite songs though.
4.Straight Edge – Don’t smoke, don’t drink, don’t f**k. Enough said.
5.Small Man, Big Mouth – YOU can make a difference.
6.Screaming at a Wall – I love this song, when you’re in an angry mood listen to this song.
7.Bottled Violence – I love the chorus in this song.
8.Minor Threat – Self-titled song, pretty cool guitar riff. We’re just a minor threat.
9.Stand Up – It’s you.
10.12XU – A cover by Minor Threat awesome cover though 12XU. Guitar riff is awesome.
11.In My Eyes – Possibly another one of my favorite songs. The verses are great especially the 2nd verse. “AT LEAST IM TRYING WHAT THE F**K HAVE YOU DONE
12.Out Of Step (with the world) – Awesome guitar riff and lyrics.
13.Guilty of Being White – This song was misinterpreted by many skinheads…okay song.
14.Steppin Stone – Sounds kinda like #1 Filler.
15.Betray – Lyrics are powerful.
16.It Follows – Fast paced song.
17.Think Again – Just Ian screaming “think again a lot ;).
18.Look Back And Laugh – Was on SLC Punk soundtrack…have fun.
19.Sob Story – Okay song.
20.No Reason – Good bass riff.
21.Little Friend – Drumming is really good…impressed.
22.Out of Step – Kinda like the first out of step a little different though.
23.Cashing In – turn your back on fame dude!
24.Stumped – Slow song…
25.Good Guys (Don’t Wear White) – Okay song…higher on guitar this time…less distortion.
26.Salad Days – Great bass in this song. Another one of my favorites.

Minor Threat was one of the pioneers of the DC punk scene and the Straight Edge scene. This CD deserves a 5/5.

Well if you think it is one of the best albums ever, then you might've wanted to put a little more effort into the review. Your review does not make me want to go out and buy this album.

With so many songs, any more descriptive would have been tedious and a bore to read. The fact of the matter is, their songs are all very similar, so detailed descriptions of each song would all say basically the same thing.

This is an excellent album, and I would recommend it to anyone into punk, and hardcore especially. 4/5.

I know what you mean, but I mean things like "I love the chorus in this song" and "Okay song" aren't that descriptive anyway.

not the best review but, its just like the music. fast, short, no preservatives or added chemicals just balls. and just like what makes the music good this gets straight to the point. minor threat wasnt "one of the pioneers" of straight edge, they started it. this is a must have for any fan of hardcore period.
