Christopher O' Riley is a classical pianist. Like many of us, Christopher found himself infatuated with Radiohead. Christopher is a sucessful solo pianist in his own right, but after he got into Radiohead, he decided to do something a little different. Christopher began writing arrangements of his favourite Radiohead songs for solo piano.

This album features renditions of Radiohead songs from every Radiohead album. The cd is an amazing showcase of the mixture of Christopher's accomplished composition and his brilliant piano skill. The result is a beautiful album of brilliant classical compositions that sound familiar. This cd is good for many things, you can listen to it in the background or totally focus on it. You can use it as an album to sleep to. You can use it in any context. It's an album that many people can like...if you like Radiohead, you will love this album because you can hear beautiful arrangements of your favourite Radiohead songs. If you are a classical fan, you will love it as well because of the classical arrangements and the classical piano technique. Whatever the case, this is one of the most beautiful albums I have heard in quite a while.

It's generally the happier tracks that shine on this album. Songs like "Black Star" and "Airbag" are amazing. That said, every track on this album is wonderful. There is little point in having a track-by-track review of this album, because most of the songs sound similar and most of you will know the Radiohead songs anyway. I will list some tracks that stand out as amazing, although it is hard to decide because they are all amzing.

Album Highlights
Black Star
Knives Out
Motion Picture Soundtrack
Airbag
Fake Plastic Trees
Let Down

If you like classical, Radiohead or beautiful piano pieces, check this cd out for sure. I'd encourage most of you to give it a listen, just use the link at the top. This cd is more than just a refreshing change from Radiohead's albums, it's an amazing and brilliant album in it's own right. Check it out.

Final Rating: 4/5

Its a really cool relaxign cd but a bit overlong me thinks. As ive said before it gives you a chance to note the amount fo detail there is in radiohead songs.

I'm getting this for sure.

The samples on his site are amazing. Radiohead songs, but with a very classical style. I could easily mistake what I heard of Subterranean Homesick Alien for a Chopin piece.

Thanks for the review br3ad man. :thumb:

I downloaded this one a while back, and deleted it. I thought it was a bit boring, and I'd just rather listen to the original songs.

I mean, I like cover songs, and even some covers albums. But a whole album of just one guy covering just one band... I dunno, it doesn't appeal to me. Same goes for most of those "string tribute" CDs.

String Tributes are generally pretty poor imo. Still, different strokes
