The Raul to Liverpool thing?

That's the one. He said he would be willing to leave Real Madrid if they didn't want him and somehow that translates as 'Liverpool to bid £15m for Raul'

chelsea are scum for what they've done with the whole Ashley cole saga and now the Frank Arenesen thing. They shoyld get a ten point deduction and a transfer window ban, maybe they'll learn their lesson.

Peter Kenyon also tried to stir it all up again with more comments about Cole, he should be severely punished also

Aye aye aye!

The FA need a smack on the arse to wake them up. Giving a fine to Mourinho of £200,000...Oh no, he cant buy a 5th Porche now, how will he live.
The club getting a £300,000 fine is terrible. They probably laughed at it thinking it was a joke.

i was having another think about the whole Ash cole saga today and especially with spurs seeking compensation for Arnesen leaving (£10million).

Surely Arsenal shoyld be entitled to some compensation especially as if Cole is determined to leave he could easily run down his contract and leave for free meaning we've lost out on a £15million transfer fee?

Here's a question..I'm getting into football just now. I live in Canada and plan to move to England in a few years. The bit of football we get over here is awesome, but we don't get that much. My favorite team is Manchester United, not becuase I'm a glory follower, but becuase when my uncle lived in England that was his favorite team, and he'd go and watch alot of the games. So what do the words on the front of the Man U. uniforms mean?

Yep, I think Liverpool are better, but Everton could beat, and have beaten, them with the right game plan. As for Liverpool as title contenders... if they spend their money wisely, I think it's possible for them to qualify for the CL. Otherwise, I think they'll be in the UEFA Cup spots again - they don't have the quality to win consistently. Plus, Gerrard's future is still uncertain as we speak.

Newcastle won't get near the top four (hopefully anyway).

Newcastle are on a downward spiral at the moment. There's unrest in the squad, they've missed out on any half decent player they've been linked with and they can't offer any new signings european football. Plus they are also lacking quality.

He's got a point. They're selling players because the team just isnt getting along (lets not forget Bowyer/Dyer), finishing 14th wont exactly attract players.
And to be honest I think Souness is at fault. If they can, get rid of him and bring back Robson, the team were doing pretty well when he was there

P.s. I dont want to seem as if im having a go at making you feel bad, Im just stating my opinion

Rancid Dan
06-13-2005, 02:13 PM
yeah, ok, but other teams and players KNOW that we can do and normally do much better than 14th, all teams have a bad seaons, it was only a couple of years ago when we finished 3rd, so you never know.

We need some new strikers most, and possible some midfielders and a new centre back...
For the end of last season we played with a bunch of 21- year olds in midfield...

If we keep Jenas and Dyer we will do well, especialy if Dyer keeps free from injury...

I'm not bothered about Robert leaving, we are getting rid of the players which gave the club a bad name, so the spirit and morale should be higher....

I think eventually he will be ok. But the problem with the Premiership is you cant sit back and say "lets give him time". They will have to bring in someone up front, they cant keep depending on Duff and Robben (very good players) but they are midfielders, not strikers

Ronaldo is being a greedy cunt. He's 18, man u signed him froma smaller club and have caoched him into becoming one of the most talented players in the world. He should appreciate what they've done for him rather than whinging about being strapped for cash.

He's 18 and better than most 24+, he'll probably be one of the best ever players in the world. He deserves the same pay as people of his skill level, age shouldn't matter

Twat_Out_Of_Hell
06-15-2005, 10:05 AM
He's not that great yet. He's getting there but he still wouldn't get into a world team for that position, there are still better players.

the fact is that when man u signed him he was not as good as he is now. He needs to show more respect in a club that paid a huge amount of money for what was at the time only a promising teenager. These contracts are absurd and are ruining football

poorquality
06-15-2005, 10:09 AM
Im not a fan on contracts myself, being a footballer is a job, you are working for a company, they work (go training) during the week then work (play a match) on weekends, so why should get they more in a week than some people in other jobs earn in 2-3 years. I dont think thats fair.

Thats like saying Beattie is good becuase he was top scorer for us. And how well has he done at Everton? thats right, absolute ****.

He's actually scored quite a few good goals ion the past couple of seasons, and his all round play ooutweighs that of a RVN or Beattie, he mustve got a fair few assists.

And i do think Beattie has the potential to be a good player, he has a good shot, and is tall and strong. He hasn't settled at everton yet, i think he neeeds to adjust to their system.

Hmm.... I know we aren't popular at the moment, but what about Chelsea :D I think we didn't actually show our full potential this year, with Robben and Duff being injured a lot, and Kezman and Drogba being useless..

Actually, I think Robben and Duff's injuries showed what an empty team Chelsea really are. Joe Cole showed himself to be hopelessly inconsistent, and Mourinho was completely unable to compensate for the absence of both players as evidenced by the disaster that was the Liverpool games.

I think he'll stay at Liverpool now that they are in the CL next season.

I don't, to be honest. He's won the CL with them now and their prospects of winning the league are tiny at best. I think he'll **** off somewhere where he can win some silverware.

don't forget Lukas Podolski. He's just turned 20 and already has the tools to be better than most strikers. Per Mertesacker will be very good in a year or two... this guy is a huge and has alot of potential. Robert Huth is a little bit too bold still. Arne Friedrich is very dangerous down the wings. Tomas Hitzlsperger will improve slowly.. he is already quite solid. Torsten Frings is a good, solid, and reliable player. Michael Ballack is already an established player. Sebastian Deisler is very strong in attack. And so on...

this is a very young team with outstanding potential. Consistancy might be a big problem though.. especially for the defence.

It's tough on Wayne Bridge though since he'll realistically be second choice now and I've never really seen him do anything particularly wrong for Chelsea.

Del Horno is a pretyt good left back, and Bridge has never played to well for Chelsea. He was often kept out of the side by Gallas who's not even a left back.

I would never trust the papers when it comes to transfers, they are usually 100% lies.
Next week it'll be "Shock Drogba- West Brom move"

Well, never trust tabloid papers as they will make up anything to get people to buy them.

Other papers are more reliable

well in the summer when football stories are few and far between lots of stories are made up just to fill space.

what do people think of Fariah Allam saying Davis sexually harrassed her? FA seen keen to back him 100% and he's denied it all.

Yeah that's a good deal.

Apparently chelsea inquired about Schevchenko again but were rebuffed.

Chelsea will probably end up signing Shevchenko one of these days with the cash they've got.

I dont believe it. With my lack of money and transport, i can only go to Saints away games near me, and we play the closest team (Luton) to me while im on holliday.

Bolton are horrible to watch. Spurs will be great to watch this season specially if Chelsea give us a couple of players for Arnescum.

At least they have a nice easy 5-0 and 3 points against the Toon at the start of the season :upset:
