NFG are at least catchy. Their lyrics suck, but at least they know what they're doing.

I don't like them at all. Saves the Day and Relient K are so much better pop-punk wise. I find nothing catchy about NFG at all. I got Catalyst mainly due to the title track, and the rest was a total letdown.

The only band I know that uses that many breakdowns is Throwdown. I assume you'll use something like The Opposite Of December against me but even that album doesn't use breakdowns as a main riffing style. Sure they have a breakdown in every song, but The Warriors take a simple breakdown and make it into a 2 and a half minute song.

And I never even saw The Warriors as a breakdown band. They have a lot of chugging but it's not in the crappy RN type way and it's not really irritating, to me at least. I never saw them as a mosh band at all.

I just got a Victory Record "Heavy Metal" premo CD.

1. Atreyu - Lip Gloss & Black
I was never anything for Atreyu and they seem to be on every sampler CD I've ever gotten for some reason.
2. BTBAM - Mordecai
Great song, but I've heard it before I got the sampler so it wasn't anything new.
3. Premonitions of War - Mother Night Revisited
Short song, I don't really know much about this band but the song was pretty deadly on the drums.
4. All Out War - From the bottom
Buildup on the intro was amazing from the ending of "Mother Night Revisited". I think this may have been one of my favorite songs on the sampler. It seemed always moving foward and going up tempo with no release.
5. Scars of Tomorrow - Abandonment
Another favorite song on the sampler. I haven't really heard much of Scars of Tomorrow but I'm definitely thinking about buying a CD of theres after hearing this song.
6. Martyr AD - American Hollow
Intro guitar riff blew my head. I regret not having their CD yet.
7. Silverstein - When broken is easily fixed
Generic, poppy, but catchy.
8. Darkest Hour - Oklahoma
I don't like this song much by them.
9. Dead to Fall - Eternal Gates of Hell
Good band, respectable guys, heard this song before.
10. Freya - As the last light drains
I was surprised at how much I liked this song. It was different.

The bonus track on Wake the Demons is the best one. I still listen to that cd a lot. They're playing here tomorrow, but I doubt i'm going. I didn't really plan anything so I don't know.

I think I might've saw them over a year ago. It was my first hardcore show and I never found out the name of this one band that made me want to leave. There was some song called Cocaine and Violence and the place opened up like the red sea with kids flipping tables and throwing chairs. Also, some 300 lb guy dived off of the merch table into me and my friend and went into fell into another table.
