Hard to say. I don't know how much of a following they have now, and I don't know what the turnout's going to be like for people flying/driving in. Usually this venue sells tickets after they're "sold out" and overstuffs the place, so it'll definitely be a packed show, it's just a question of when.

You don't have to agree with it, but they have as much right to say what they want to say as anyone else does. That's the beautiful thing about hardcore. I'm not even remotely Christian, but I support Christian bands the same as I support a straight edge band, a vegan band, a political band, or any other kind of hardcore band.

It's hard to explain my feelings on religion in hardcore, or religion in general.

I think religion is evil.
We've dealt with several 'waves' here, first there were the Krishnas. Sounds good huh? Until you read up on the subject. Turns out being a female Krishna isn't too much fun. Go oppression, go!

Then there was Christianity.
Christianity has nothing, NOTHING to do with hardcore.
Hardcore is a counter culture. What's the point in being a counter culture if you're just a mirror of the dominant culture?

Calling your band a 'straight-edge band' or a 'vegan band' or whatever seems silly to me.
I think your beliefs should play a role in what you do musically, artistically, etc. but not so much that you can't think of anything else, know what I mean? This is pretty difficult to word, but I have very strong feelings about this.

Religion (or beliefs) and music should be separate things, but using your music to spread whatever you think is right is a good thing.
Vegan and Youth Crew bands often force their opinion on others. They're sort of dictatorial. That's a bad thing.

I don't really feel like discussing this any further, but you should definitely feel free too. I'll re-join this discussion later on.

I'm pretty tired so excuse the incoherence.

I try and have a high tolerance for militant bands, as I do feel that it's a place where anyone can voice their beliefs, no matter how extreme, so long as someone with an opposing view is willing to voice theirs if they feel so. Sometimes it does go a bit far though. For example, there's a really popular band out here called Seven Generations. They're so militant and Vegan they could give EC a run for their money. At their shows they preach HARD against corporate America, eating meat, and selling out hardcore, etc. Now, I'm all for that, but when they say **** like "All cops are ****ing pigs that deserve to be shot on ****ing sight", that goes way too far and is obviously made out of ignorance and lack of taste and judgement. My parents are cops and **** like that hits home. So, I've decided not to support Seven Generations. I will never buy merch from them, I will not promote them, and if they are playing a show that I'm at, I will not watch them. This is something that I do very rarely. I'm not even opposing them or putting them down, I'm just choosing not to lend my support.

As for the Christian thing again, I can see what you're saying. However, I think it's evolved beyond being simply a counter-culture. Sure, it still exists in many factions but lyrical content is so across the board now that it's more of a sub-culture than anything. I don't exactly see singing about Christianity as "mirroring" the mainstream culture. I can see where you're coming from if their lyrics are simply blind gospel, that's about as BS as the Westernized Church. However, if a band focuses more on the moral aspects and empowerment of Christianity, then I fail to see how that is any different from straight-edge or youth crew, which I also see nothing wrong with.

To me, hardcore is about emotion and it is about passion. I tried metal for a while and even though I still listen to bands like Nevermore, Cryptopsy, stuff like that, it never really clicked with me. What attracted me to hardcore was the honesty, the sincerity, and the passion that you simply do not find in other forms of music. If a band wants to sing about how much they love Jesus, well then fine. At least they're passionate about something, and in a world where everything seems to be becoming more and more robotic and soulless, that's being a counter-culture if you ask me. So long as the band is truly passionate about what they're saying and not just saying it to sell more records to Facedown Recs' groupies.

Besides, some of the most underrated hardcore bands were Christian. Case in point: The Crucified, Strongarm, Overcome, etc.

People don't recognize Christianity as the threat that it is. Religion is holding people back all over the world.
