I bought Pass The Flask over a year ago, and it's only recently that I've been able to appreciate its greatness. The Bled are really really good, and I love playing guitar along with their songs... gotta love the breakdowns. dun dun dun neener neener neener

Here's an article about SAS signing to Warner:

http://www.free-times.com/Music/music.html

Hmm.... I liked Engage. I have a feeling they're going to go straight pop-punk now, judging by the new song they posted on hxcmp3 a while back. Fine by me, so long as they do well with it. They're way underappreciated in hardcore (at least around here) so if they have to get the respect they deserve elsewhere, so be it.

Actually the music isn't that different. You have Minor Threat and you have Rites Of Spring. You have Lifetime and you have Mineral. It's just dumb stereotypes that kids hate.

And on another note, I have been listening to a ton of metal lately \mm/!
Nile, Carcass, Pig Destroyer, At The Gates, Premonitions Of War, Darkest Hour...

Some of their newer stuff has a bit more mmph to it though to where I'm actually listening rather than reading the song titles. "You Were Too Ugly To Rape So I Beat The S'hit Out Of You", best song title I have ever seen from them.

Dfelon, why is Death in the grindcore band list? I don't think they've ever been grindcore. Also you should add 'early' to carcass, because they were very melodic in a later period of their career.

Crime in Stereo was a no-show, so there were only 3 bands.

The Spark-This band impressed me. They're an old-school hardcore band from Maryland. They played a good set, i'll be looking more into them. www.thesparkhc.com Go check them out.

Forward to Death-This band rules. They played a good set and to end it, played 2 DK covers. I picked up their new cd Death Therapy, and it's really good. I like it a lot more then their demo. If you haven't heard this band yet, go check them out.

Kill Your Idols-They also played well. I'm just getting into them, so I can't say their set list. They played some covers, but I didn't recognize any of the songs. They covered Sick of it All, Bad Brains, and Negative Approach.

Overall, it was a good show. The best part was FTD covering 'California Uber Alles"

What genre do you consider bands like Thursday, Emery, and the stuff like that? Everyone at my school calls it emo, but they are stupid.
