Someone is sending me the Guns Up! EP right now. I have been fiending on such good hardcore over the past few weeks. Have Heart, Verse, etc. have been owning me so badly.
"This so-called **** is what I live for, it's why I'm alive."

What a good line.

- Plot play all the time
- Ex Models are freaking irritating
- Never got really into Blood Brothers

I hope it was on vinyl.. they sound better on vinyl.
Oh, and BuddyBigsby, you should definitely go see the Plot if you want your crotch groped.
Just kidding, although it does seem they're kind of forcing taboos to disappear which is a bit annoying.
Ex-Models rule.
Locust suck.
Blood Brothers suck.
So it's a 50/50 awesome show.

1) They suck.
2) They spawned a whole s'hitty scene in my town that called itself hardcore but was really just s'hitXcore and effectivly muscled out all the other good forms of music by buying out the only venue every Saturday and Friday night.

Thrice is the most talented band in this whole "scene" right now. I don't care what the f.uck they spawned, because they didn't even get as popular as they were supposed to with The Artist in the Ambulance. They have the best lyrics around--hands down. In my opinion, Thrice is today's Refused. I cannot wait for the new album, and if you think "Stare at The Sun" (which, to say the least, has amazing lyrics and bass lines) is an example of Thrice's best, you are surely wrong. Go buy The Illusion of Safety (their other albums are still mindblowing) and listen to every song while reading the lyric book. Then, you can shut the f.uck up.

CRASS? I'm really at the point where I laugh at almost all "punk" bands. The genre is truly dead. I can't help smirking every time I see a gutter punk walking around. Also, I hate my username, so don't use it against me.

I've listened to Underminded non stop since September, but I still don't get the feeling from them that I get from Misery Signals. Misery Signals is just so...perfect. Beautiful melodies and some amazing breakdowns in the same song.
And there's the originality factor. No other band sounds quite like Misery Signals. Even 7A7P doesn't compete. Underminded has a huge Thrice quality to them, and it's obvious that they're an influence. Especially in "The Inquisition"
Underminded comes in second, though.

Where's the Throwdown show at?
hey all, it's been a while since i showed my face in here but i got some great shows coming up:
18/2 = shadows fall/ as i lay dying/ parkway drive
26/2 = dillinger escape plan
10/5 = unearth/norma jean/atreyu
also, what does everyone here think of the bled, misery signals and the new blood brothers record?
I like the Bled. What I've heard off Crimes is great. Misery Signals are alright.

The Knitting Factory. I've still only heard 3 Throwdown songs. I should probably check more of their stuff out. I love It Dies Today though, and I'm sure I'll like Cold War once I check them out. The Chariot is just OK, but they probably deserve more of a listen too.

I think old Underminded sounds like Identity Crisis-era Thrice. The new stuff doesn't have that much of a Thrice resemblance though. Maybe it's just me...

Awesome another show. Throwdown, Bane, 7 Seconds all within a week. That is amazing.

The vocals are the most noticable thing. They sound exactly like Dustin's. The guitar leads kind of resemble Thrice but the chugging throws a lot of people of when I reccomend them to Thrice fans.
I just realized how genious the intro to Thrice's Deadbolt is. It is incredible.
