Last night was a show, here some highlights:
- Bloodstains on the cement out front from a fight.
- Stagedives from a balcony
- Broken trophies
- Dancing on BOTH floors of the poolhouse
- Did I mention that there were two pits?

Highlights of my show:
-Me, my friend and this random old guy who has been at every show I've been to being the only people skanking
-Me and my friend being the only people moshing
-Me and my friend doing windmills
-Me and my friend doing weird dances
Yeah, the jersey scene sucks.

It's not worth it. My suggest is just change the name to Punk/Hardcore forum. It's fine the way it is now seeing as anyone who talks about hardcore does so in this forum.
Besides an suggestions for a new forum are always answered with "the Other Forum"

We don't need a hardcore forum, it's not like we get a lot of threads about hardcore bands in the punk forum anyway. Most of the talking about hardcore goes on in this thread, we hardly need a forum for it.

I have a question: do any of you believe (like I do) that "screamo" and "melodic hardcore" are genres by themselves or just household names. But to me most of what Shane Italian is pretty on the money, but I always considered Death Threat to be metalcore, and by the way, American Nightmare, no longer exists. Just Kidding they go by the name Give Up the Ghost now, they're good. But seriously "melodic hardcore", "screamo" are they genres by themselves?
PlasticGangster

Screamo isn't a genre. Just because a band screams they get their own genre? I don't think so.

READ UP CB!
Poison the Well/Halloween highlights:
Work (Just because):
- some Asian lady coming to be ringed up and exclaiming "Oh! I thought you were a lady."
- Lady arguing with my friend that something was $1.99. It was $6.61, she was reading it upside down and ignoring the decimal point.
- Me pwning some lady that tried to put a $1.25 price tag from a cheaper item onto an item that was part of a set. Idiot took it out of the set and slapped the tag on there. It amazes me how people think I can just scan a price. I need a barcode.
Poison the Well:
- I dressed up as a Mexican wrestler, and named myself El Malo. I had tights on, which resulted in me getting hit on and hooted at. Amazing, I don't think I've ever been hit on in my life before. I'm going to do this on a regular basis.
- Moshing it up as El Malo
- Sadly, curlupanddie sucked
- PTW were awesome. WAY better than February. They made the set list a whole lot stronger, not just with song choices but with order. It was perfect.
- New guitarist rules. They played an intro, which I think they may have written with him. I don't know if this is any indicator of what the new album will sound like, but said intro was very southern classic rock inspired (think Lynrd Skynrd)... weird, I know. It was really good though, even though it was just instrumental.
- Putting aside my grudges and uniting with scenesters to drive away the jock pit
- Starting to preach to a nearly 7 ft. tall guy I thought was push pitting, only for him to go "Hey bro, I know what kind of a show it is" and show me his Security shirt. I apologized and gave him a big fat hug.
After work:
- I stopped to get gas after I dropped my friend off, which is in a weird area. Some Mexican guy in a cowboy hat dealy comes up to me and starts gibbering in Spanish, even after I say "Uh... No espanol. Sorry". He kept saying "Fontana" and "Pomona", which are cities around here, so I think he wanted a ride. I told him no for the obvious reasons, and he told me "Ey, you help me, I help you". I was wearing my tights at the time. I do not want to know what he meant by that.

That might be cool, Buddy. Codeseven and Hopesfall. Don't know about the others. Hopesfall is playing in Philly with Marigold. I'd like to go. I looked up their bio on Trustkill's website, and their's only one member from The Satellite Years that is still in the band, vocalist Jay Forrest. That's weird. Why would they completely change like that?

I wanted to go just to watch Hopesfall and Codeseven (ASL is headlining. Ugh), but there's two other shows that night. The first one is 100 Demons / Cast Aside / Life or Death, but the one that took the cake was Neurosis, because they're not a touring band and seeing them is a rare opportunity. I'm sad I have to miss the other two, though. I'm thinking about catching the 100 Demons show in Long Beach the next week, though, because I was really looking forward to that. As for the hopesfall member thing: really? Weird. I don't think I ever heard of any members leaving except for one, and I can't remember who it is. That's kind of funny if Jay is the only one left, that means there's not one original member left.

Emo originally had screams, look at Moss Icon and the Still Life. Saying that a band is screamo because they scream the majority of the time is pointless to me. To make this a short explanation, look at it this way: punk is built on a foundation of political and social beliefs as well as trying to change the system, so calling a band political punk would be rather pointless considering that was part of the punch to the genre to begin with.

No no no.
'Screamo' is just a slang word, not a proper genre.
Of course, alot of those bands sound alike, although some have more Power Violence influences, some are way Crusty, others are kind of Emo..
Calling all these bands 'Emo' would be stupid too, just listen to Orchid or Circle Takes the Square.

and as for crusty screamo, it wouldnt be possible, it might sound crusty, but that doesnt make it crust...alot of things sound crusty, but its not too hard to obtain such a sound, although the thing that makes crust is very unlikely to be found in any "screamo" bands...

Well water polo season ended today. I'm sad and just ate 11 pieces of pizza.

I went into a porn store couple months ago, it was like heaven.
Nah, I know a porn store that doesn't care about age. I like like I'm 22 anyway, so if I could just get a fake ID and hope no one scans it I could do anything more or less.

I've only gone into one shop, and it was in Victorville... which is basically hickville in the middle of nowhere.
It was an odd experience.

I went in with a bunch of friends. The best part was when one of my friends picked up a dildo that was approx 4 inches in diameter and ran around screaming I found the weapons of *** distuction.

Yeah, me and my buds drove down their to see Folly a few weeks back, and low and behold, the venue had gotten shut down. Instead, we drove around for hours making fun of hicks, and then realizing there really wasn't anything else to do.

I hate anything that isn't Orange County, LA, San Diego, or Dallas.

I enjoy visiting. I like seeing those ghetto-*** pink apartment buildings on the 405.

New? I am unaware of this new venue..
No, it's at Koos. They mostly do art stuff and screamo shows, but that tours coming there. The place is supposedly real tiny, so it should be awesome.
