Wrestlemania was pretty good yesterday. The best match was by far the ladder match even though edge won it was still awesome. HBK v Angle was pretty good to. I thought the HHH v Batista match was ok but i was expecting worse.
When do you guys think HHH is going to win it back and do you guys think JBL will win the title back anymore. He is the wrestling God.
JBL is going to fall off the face of SD! now. HHH will probably win it back at Backlash, although I'm unsure if that's an accurate statement or not. We'll see how RAW and SD! go this week.
I predict a heel turn from Eddie within the next month.

For Eddie to turn heel would be a disaster, and everyone on Smackdown! knows that.
Plus, I doubt JBL will vanish. People hate him too much, and his character is way too cool.
I like JBL's character, but he needs to get rid of this cabinet business. He plays the heel extremely well, I think he's the best heel on SD!. It's just that, what's he going to do, turn face and go after OJ for the US Title?

I'd like to see a feud between JBL and HHH over who is the "wrestling God" after their confrontation backstage.
It would really liven things up, and give HHH the chance to establish himself as a face again on SD, and have a major storyline that didn't revolve around him and the World Heavyweight Title. This would allow some other people to have a chance in the main spotlight, if he can bear to do it.
The six man ladder match was nuts, Shelton Benjamin stole the show in that one. T-Bone Suplex off the ladder? Running up one ladder to deliver a clothesline/stinger splash to Jericho? For the least experienced guy in the match he really has something to be proud of.
Man, I'm going to have to rent this video :(

They could've done better. Watching Cena getting his a*s handed to him for a while, and then have him stage a remarkable comeback has been done a thousand times. Cena should try and wrestle a mor eAustin-like style, beasically pounding the Hell out of anyone who gets in his way and taking no sh*t. If they'd done that, and made the offense between JBL and Cena more even, it would've been a far better match.

If JBL does end up winning, then we have a problem on our hands. Absolutley EVERYONE is tired of seeing Triple H with the title, and people got bored with JBL's gimmick, and the way he held the title for so long. But, they cant both lose at Backlash, one of them will have to win. So hopefully JBL will get to the last round of the elimination and Cena will interfere and let him lose.

It could be good I think, if they gave it proper attention to building up a feud between them. Difficult on different programs though, and I wouldn't see Triple H volunteering himself to step down to Smackdown. It would be one of the most believable ways to make Triple H a face again though.
So, rumors say that April 18th, the draft will take place at MSG, and both rosters will be present.
I like the idea of the draft. I also think that the JBL/HHH match could be that night's main event, but it would never happen.

The draft is always good for shaking things up and making new storylines possible.
I think they'll still continue the emphasis on Smackdown of Cruiserweights and Tag Teams.
Matches that would be awesome, but we probably won't see:
Batista v Undertaker
Triple H v JBL
That's all I can think of.
I think a Charlie Hass vs. Shelton Benjamin match would be interesting to watch.
I like the Batista vs. Undertaker idea, though

Just got home from the Sydney show of the Wrestlemania Revenge tour.
Just a live event, but no cameras. Here's how it went down.
Saturday 9th April, Raw: Wrestlemania Revenge Tour. Sydney, Australia.
The show opens with Lillian Garcia welcoming the crowd and beginning to sing the Australian national anthem. About 30 seconds into it, the music of La Resistance hits and they make their way to the ring, flags and all, to some intense heat from the crowd. Numerous "Go home" and "You're a wanker" chants follow. One of them grabs a microphone and begins to sing O Canada. William Regal and Tajiri's music hits to a big reaction from the crowd.
Match 1, Tag Team Title Match: William Regal & Tajiri (c) VS La Resistance.
The match begins with some standard arm wrenches, headlock takedowns and so on. Back and forth with no clear advantage, Regal hits his overhead suplex very early and nothing comes of it. La Resistance manage to double team him for a while, but he makes the take to Tajiri. Tajiri takes control with kicks, hitting his cartwheel kick off the ropes and numerous body shots (I could hear them from where I was sitting, about 50 metres away). Tajiri handles both members of La Resistance and manages to put the Tarantula on in the corner. Back and forth again, until Tajiri is double teamed, and with the referee distracted trying to keep Regal out, the illegal man from La Resistance chokes him with the flagpole. In the ring Tajiri is set up for the Au Revoir and takes it, but Regal is able to prevent the three count. Back and forth for a while, until Regal is tagged in again and manhandles La Resistance with punches and backdrops. Regal and Tajiri hit some awesome double team moves, including Regal lifting Tajiri up and launching him onto one of the La Resistance dudes to hit a great hurricanrana/head scissors take over, which sends him out of the ring. Regal then hits his neckbreaker on the legal man, and a running knee lift for the three count.
Winners, and still Tag Team Champions, William Regal and Tajiri. They leave the ring to a big pop again, followed by La Resistance who are very much hated.
Match 2, Single Match: Tyson Tomko vs The Hurricane
Tyson Tomko enters first, to a pretty good reaction generally. Probably because Captain Cocksucker isn't coming out with him. Tomko is a real big dude in real life. Hurricane enters next, and does some superhero poses in the ring. The match starts with Tomko generally overpowing Hurricane with shoulderblocks and a powerslam. Early into the match Tomko hits a very awesome move, lifting Hurricane military press style, dropping him down onto his shoulders as for a Samoan Drop, then into a Last Call style move. The throw sends Hurricane well over half the ring, rolling out to the floor. Back in the ring, things go back and forth until Hurricane goes for an elbow off the turnbuckle, getting a clothesline for his trouble. Tomko sends him to the turnbuckle, but Hurricane is able to counter into a Tornado DDT off the ropes. Hurricane poses again, and bounces off the ropes to deliver the Shining Wizard, but it caught by a big boot from Tomko and goes down for the three.
Winner: Tomko. Tomko leaves and heads backstage, while the referee checks on Hurricane in the ring. He eventually gets up and heads to the back, nice cheer for him on the way.
Lillian Garcia gets on the mic again, and introduces Stacy Keibler, who is pretty hot, but has a terrible American voice. She chats about how nice Australia is etc. Lillian the introduces Eric Bischoff, who gives the same speech and puts over the rest of the matches, which will include Shelton Benjamin defending his IC Title against Christian, and Edge fighting against Kane in a Money In The Bank grudge match. Still to come is Jericho vs Hassan, and the main event tag match of Benoit and Batista against Ric Flair and HHH.
Match 3, Women's Match: Molly Holly vs Victoria (Guest Ref: Christy Hemme).
Lillian introduces the winner of the Diva Search, Playboy Covergirl, and world class slut, Christy Hemme. Great crowd reaction and chants of "Take it off!". Molly Holly comes out first to a reasonably dead reaction. I was hoping we'd see Lita tonight but we have to settle for Victoria, which isn't bad because as far as I'm concerned she's the second best woman wrestler in the WWE. Reasonably slow start, the usual stuff you'd expect from the women wrestlers. Back and forth without much action, with Victoria scoring a near pinfall with an impressive powerslam. Molly manages to regain control and takes Victoria down. Molly gets up on the top rope, presumably for the Molly-Go-Round, but Victoria is quick to her feat and picks Molly up from the top turnbuckle before she has a chance to turn around. Victoria walks her over to the center of the ring and delivers the Widow's Peak for the three count. That move really does look painful.
Winner, Victoria. She leaves to a big cheer, and when Molly manages to get moving again she leaves to a moderate amount of heat and the crowd singing that "Na na na na, na na na na, hey-ey-ey, goodbye" song.
Match 4, Single Match: Val Venis vs Chris Masters
Chris Masters is introduced first, to a dead reaction. Those who can be bothered, provide some generous boos. Chris Masters cuts a really poor segment of mic work where he insults Australian sports and says none of the competitors can hold a candle to him. Val Venis enters to a big cheer, and poses for each side of the ring before giving his towel to someone in the crowd.
Back and forth between these two with dropkicks, clotheslines, shoulderblocks and so on. A few suplexes and headlocks get thrown around, with near falls for both guys. Somewhere in there Chris Masters hits the Polish Hammer and applies the Full Nelson, with the referee stopping the match soon after and awarding it to Chris Masters.
Winner (and a thoroughly uninteresting competitor): Chris Masters. Leaves the ring to noone really caring, with Val Venis following a short while later, raising his arm in the aisle to a great reaction from the crowd. It's really sad that a long time competitor like Val Venis should have to job for someone like Chris Masters. For shame...
Match 5, Intercontinental Title Match: Shelton Benjamin (c) VS Christian.
Christian comes out first, with Tomko. Mixed reaction. "You're a wanker" chants restart. Christian gets on the mic and says that if anyone calls him a wanker, he'll send Tomko to kick their asses. More wanker chants, with Tomko running around the ring acting psycho. Good fun. Benjamin's music hits and he comes out to a great reaction.
Really impressive match follows, Benjamin showing off all his ability. Notable spots include Christian attempting to catapult to him the turnbuckle, and Benjamin landing on his feet on the ropes to deliver a corkscrew body press. Back and forth with Benjamin hitting a great clothesline off the top, and Christian hitting a reverse DDT from the second rope. Near falls for both men, with Christian kicking out of the Dragon Whip and a powerslam. Sooner or later Christian manages to throw Benjamin out, where Tomko tries to distract him. Christian runs up behind him but Benjamin delivers a right hand that knocks Christian down. Back in the ring Benjamin hits 9 punches on the turnbuckle followed by a big run up and a big left hand. He runs to the ropes where Tyson trips him up. The referee sees it and Tyson is banned from ringside! Tomko goes nuts on the apron, while Christian has nearly a seizure in the ring. Meanwhile Benjamin is nowhere to be seen. With Tomko safely backstage, Christian looks at each side of the ring and storms around with no idea where Shelton is. With Christian's back turned, Shelton comes out from hiding under the ring, quickly climbs to the top turnbuckle, and delivers a big flying bulldog for a 2.9 count. Back and forth again with both men pulling out all their moves. They exchange clotheslines until between attempts the T-Bone Exploder but Christian blocks it and sends him to the ropes. Shelton tries to come off with a clothesline but Christian ducks and sets him up for
The Unprettier. Benjamin is able to counter and push Christian to the ropes, attempting the T-Bone again. Christian reverses and sends Benjamin off the ropes, and tries to hit a standing clothesline, but Benjamin is too quick, ducking the impact and delivering a massive T-Bone for the 1,2,3.
Winner, and still IC Champion, Shelton Benjamin. Leaves to a great pop, Christian takes a few minutes of lie down time and then is assisted out by the referee.

Lillian Garcia announces a brief intermission and encourages everyone to go buy the overpriced shirts and memorabilia. 10 or 20 minutes later we return.
Lillian back on the mic, once again thanks the crowd for being so welcoming and says how great it is to be in Australia. She is interrupted by the music of Muhammad Hassan and Daivari, who come out to the ring to really intense heat from the crowd. They hurry VERY quickly down the aisle and get straight in the ring. Muhammad does his usual PMS rant about the treatment he's been receiving, before handing the mic over to Daivari who speaks in tongues until Chris Jericho's Y2J countdown appears on screen and he emerges to an incredible reaction. In the ring he gets on the mic and cuts a great segment saying that their about 15 000 raging Jerichoholics here, and they think the two of you are 100% certified pure-bred wankers. He tells Daivari that he can't understand a word he's saying, and that in Sydney Australia (cheap pop) you have to speak English, jerky.
During the match Jericho dominates Muhammad, looking for an early Walls Of Jericho but Hassan makes it to the ropes. Back and forth, Jericho hits the Flashback while Mohammad sticks to stiff suplexes and shoulder blocks. The two exchange shoulderblocks, but Daivari tries to trip Jericho at the ropes. Jericho stamps on his hand and walks into an attempted Finishing Touch by Hassan, managing to reverse it and send him to hang over the second rope. Jericho jogs on the spot, building up speed to deliver a leg across the back of the neck. Jericho delivers a bulldog and a lionsault, but Daivari is distracting the ref! Jericho has had enough, and pulls Daivari over the ropes, applying the Walls Of Jericho. Daivari is screaming in pain, but Hassan manages to grab the tights of Jericho and roll him up to steal the win.
Winner, and still undefeated by Pinfall or Submission, Ayatollah Assaholah, Muhammad Hassan. He assists Daivari out of the ring and they leave quickly to even more heat. Jericho poses for the crowd in the ring as his music hits, getting great reactions for a few minutes before leaving to the same great pop. He poses with some fans in the aisle for photographs. Jericho is definately one of the better showmen on the roster.
Match 6, Single Match: Edge vs Kane.
Edge comes out first to an extremely positive reaction considering his heel status at the moment. The lights go out and without any pyro (:(!) Kane emerges to an equally big reaction. Kane is one giant human being, enough said.
Kane and Edge lock up in the ring, with Kane quickly throwing Edge down. Edge crawls away quickly to the corner. The two exchange blows back and forth, with Kane dominating Edge in the early stages with a big powerslam and some clotheslines. Edge is able to fight back and get Kane into the corner, climbing up and throwing right hands at Kane, who powers out, lifting Edge by the throat and sending him down with a chokeslam/spinebuster hybrid. SOLID impact on that move. Kane waits Edge to get up, but before he can hit a move Edge is able to deliver a dropkick to the knee that sends Kane to the mat. For the next few minutes Edge works Kane with a stepover toehold, and various leglocks. For some unknown reason he doesn't go for the Edgecator. Back and forth again until Kane regains control with his one armed sideslam. He signals for the chokeslam, and grabs Edge by the throat (crowd go nuts). Edge manages to kick Kane sqau in the nuts [/Cartman] and hits the Edge-o-cution for as close as you'll ever get to a three count. Back and forth until Kane attempts a charging clothesline to Edge in the corner, who hits a boot to the face. Kane stumbles and falls, lying down on one side of the ring. Edge measures him and crouches in the corner, motioning for the spear. As he does, Kane sits up and looks pretty pissed. Edge decides to go for it anyway, and runs into a giant boot to the face. Kane again calls for the chokeslam, and plants Edge with some incredibly velocity for a definate three count.
Winner, Kane. Heads backstage to a great reaction, did I mention this guy is freaking gigantic? When Edge gets up, he leaves the ring to an equally good reaction.
Lillian now introduces the main event for this evening. Ric Flair and Triple H facing off against the Rabid Wolverine, Chris Benoit, and the NEW World Heavyweight Champion, Batista! (Crowd go absolutely nuts.)
Match 7, Tag Team Match: Flair & HHH vs Benoit & Batista.
Flair enters first, to his own theme music. A good deal of respect leads to a big cheer and many flashbulbs. The music of Triple H now hits, and the crowd put out an ever bigger reaction. Triple H does his full entrance, with water spitting and all. He is one big guy also.
Now Benoit's music hits, and the crowd give an even bigger pop. He wastes no time in heading to the ring and getting in Ric Flair's face. Everything goes quiet for a while and then the crowd go absolutely off the charts before Batista's music even starts. When it does you can hardly hear it, and the flashbulbs lit up the entire arena. Batista in person is just plain massive, the title looks tiny on him.
Triple H gets up on the turnbuckle and poses, and the crowd (now in character) boo him heavily. Triple H looks angry. Batista gets up on the turnbuckle to a great pop. Triple H even more angry. Repeat a few times. Benoit finds it hilarious.
Flair now gets on the mic and goes nuts, saying if Batista gets on that rope again he'll bitch slap him down. Batista tests this theory and the crowd goes nuts some more. Flair then says he'll bitch slap Benoit if he think's its so funny. They get in eachothers faces and Benoit gets on the mic, repeatedly calling Flair a bitch and demanding he slap him. Flair backs off and gives the microphone to Triple H.
Triple H has says he'll kick Batista's *** soon enough, and has a lengthy rant where he insults a fat guy in the audience, and gets in an argument with some guy who says "You can't see me!". Triple H responds with "Yeah, that's the problem, I wish I couldn't see you. But hey you're probably on some government terror watch list anyway, so maybe I should pull a few strings and have you sent back home to dig ditches in India!" Triple H continues to say if anyone cheers for Batista he will "Slap the Vegemite right out of their mouths" haha :D.
Anyway, sooner or later the match opens with Benoit and Flair. The two exchange chops to a chorus of "Woo's!". Flair does his usual stumble and fall schtick. Benoit hits a backdrop but Flair comes back with a poke to the eye. A while later Flair tags in The Game and Benoit motions for Batista. Crowd goes nuts and Benoit makes the tag. Triple H stops in mid-stride and backs off, tagging a reluctant Ric Flair back in. Batista dominates Flair for a while, then brings Benoit back in. Some double teaming follows on Benoit, with Triple H and Ric Flair taking turns to work on his arm. With the referees back turned, Triple H hooks Benoit's arm over the ropes and hits it with a vicious chair shot. Benoit goes down in pain, and Flair attempts the figure four. A few near falls on Benoit but he eventually turns it over. Flair tags back in The Game, but Benoit applies the Crippler Crossface, unfortunately it is close enough to the ropes for Flair to assist the game in reaching safety. Triple H manages to regain control, but Benoit is able to take it back and crawl for a tag. Batista is fired up and takes on both HHH and Flair, sending them down with big right hands, shoulders, clotheslines, and slams. Benoit is resting on the floor for a good few minutes after his lengthy stint in the ring. Batista comfortably handles both guys. Batista manhandles them both to opposite corners and hits repeated clotheslines, then tries to catapult HHH onto Flair, but in the process knocks out the referee. Flair hits FOUR low blows on Batista, who stumbles into a Pedigree from HHH. The Game has the pin but there is no ref to count it. One runs out from the back, but Batista has the shoulder up at 2. Triple H is irate and punches out the new referee. Flair and HHH manage to regain control and double team Batista in the corner. Benoit has stirred on the outside and makes the save, taking on HHH and Flair with chops and headbutts. HHH, however, manages to regain control and throws Benoit shoulder first at top speed into the ring post, and onto the floor. That's the last we see of Chris Benoit. Batista has had time to rest up though, and Flair turns around into a quick spinebuster, rolling half out of the ring. Triple H walks into an even bigger one, and Batista now pulls on the ropes and goes nuts for the crowd. He gives the thumbs up, and then the thumbs down, and pulls Triple H in for a thunderous Batista Bomb and a 1, 2, 3. Gigantic cheer and I'm desperate to hit the bathrooms so I miss out on the celebratory posing and cheering.
Winners: Batista & Benoit.
Pretty great show over all, the only notable absences were Randy Orton and Lita.

I just remembered when Taker "abducted" Steph McMahon back in the ministry days. Good times, would you say the Corporate Ministry was Federation years or Attitude years? Because on the Anthology they have it as Federation which i thought was right (it was before the big boom in popularity), but someone i know thinks it should be in Attitude
I have no preference (because I can't remember that, sadly).

I went to the Sydney, Australia show last night. It was pretty **** good, a RAW show with the main event being a tag-team match. HHH and Flair VS. Chris Benoit and Batista..
So many "Woooooo's!".. Good times.
Heres a question. During HHH's entrance, if you and your mates are at a live show and drinking heavily, do you think it is appropriate to throw your fists up and spit out a beer waterfall ala HHH, all over the guys in front of you?
Yea.. I did it about three times :naughty:

Wow I just checked, Rhyno and Matt Hardy are officially released be the WWE.
Rhyno: because of a scene he caused in the lobby, smashing an extremely heavy flower pot after a fight with his wife. The background; Rhyno and his wife and going through a really nasty divorce, and his wife showed up unannounced to the after party (without his daughter) to tell him she plans to move to Germany with his child. Rhyno went understandably nuts, and hotel security were called, and had to be backed up by Tommy Dreamer (what's his position in the company now anyway? Hotel back-up?...) and taken upstairs where he was met by some important WWE guy. Rhyno was so fired up that he made it clear he had nothing left to lose, even if his behaviour got him fired.
Poor Rhyno :(.
Matt Hardy: WWE were planning to bring him back next month when he finished rehabbing from his knee injury, but have released him instead. His contract will officially expire 90 days from now. Word is that the WWE were not happy with the Edge/Lita/Hardy situation going public, and feel that Matt Hardy is partly responsible because he confirmed and discussed the story on his official website. The company also consider Hardy the most expendable superstar of the three, with Lita their best female competitor (only Victoria can really compete with her moves-wive) and Edge scheduled to the next big star.
Yeah, I read all that... my only defense I have for the WWE for firing Rhyno is that he was only jobbing. Even still, that's a horrible situation for him :(
Matt Hardy, though, got the short end of the stick. That's incredibly lame.
Hogan is rumored to want one more last match at WM22. He wants it with Stone Cold, but Stone Cold "hasn't said so." Shawn Michaels is actively campaigning to work with Hogan, but we'll see how it goes.
Meh... I hope the draft works out alright.

I truthfully thinks he has potential. First of all, he faced someone who didnt even have any entrance music, or entrance at all. The guy he faced "wrestled" Akebono the Smackdown before Wrestlemania. why the **** WWE create Muhammad Hassan character as the heels wrestler?
to show the world that all arab or muslim is bad people?
Did you know that the WWE let the live audiences determine Hassan's character? The first promos he made were neutral, but the crowd still booed him. The audience decided he would be heel, so apparently, it means people can't complain.
You also have to remember that the commentators frequently remind everyone, as Choda said, that he is American of origin, and that he is not meant to represent the entire Arab community - he is what the WWE would call a "nutball".
They're bringing back the $250,000 Diva Search again, and I guess Molly was expendable :shrugs:

04-12-2005, 05:36 PM
Yeah cause lets face it RAW isnt what it used to be back in the day when it competed with WCW. FIrst off there werent like 1million guys on the Roster and there wasnt always Smackdown so they had a pretty compact show. Secondly they had to compete with Nirto so RAW had some quality matches and a storyline in itself (one night Undertaker was trying to embalm Kane, or the Corporation was running around and wreaking havoc on people) that lasted the entire show. When WCW closed and Smackdown came around RAW still has some quality matches but to me it just hasnt been up to par with itself during the Federation/Attitude years. IF TNA picks up RAW will have to step up its matches and intensity in order to compete.

04-13-2005, 02:36 AM
I think the bright side of the WWE cutting all this talent is that it is giving away superstars, some of who are very popular (Rhyno and Matt Hardy), who can be quickly taken on by TNA.
In a sense WWE is almost giving TNA what it needs to compete with them.
Maybe the long term plan the WWE have is to lure TNA into direct competition, run them into the ground, and then Vince McMahon can buy out one of his only remaining business rivals, getting back the superstars he let go, and gaining a bunch of new ones. Then he can pick and choose whoever he wants, perhaps set up something similar to OVW but in different territory, or alternatively he could just sell it all off.
ChodaBoy
04-13-2005, 04:36 AM

Has anyone here bought a shirt off WWE.COM? I need some help on the sizes, because they don't make sense to me.. Is the XL size supposed to be 24 inches around the chest? Cause thats what the table says, but that aint exactly "extra large"..
I need some help here, so if anyone has shopped at WWE.COM, can you explain the shirt size system?
Cheers, guys.

There should be a guide on the site, if you dont know your size just have a look at the label on some of your clothes and see what they are like

No, there is a guide on the site. But it doesn't really make sense. It has a listing of sizes (8, 10, 12, S, M, L, XL) and underneath it has a row labelled "Inches".. But heres the part I don't get. The extra large size has "24" as its inches? There is nothing bigger than 24 inches..
Now, I dont know who has a 24inch chest, because thats ridiculously small.. I dont know what the "inches" row is actually measuring.. thats what I'm asking, and if anyone has bought a shirt, so they can help..

So, Match 2 for the #1 Contender's thing is tonight... Angle vs. Eddie. I'm thinking something happens between Rey and Eddie again (it's somethin' every week) and Angle wins...
ChodaBoy
04-14-2005, 10:12 AM
I think they might let Angle win the title pretty soon, as kind of a thank you gesture. Because he wont be wrestling for too many years with his neck injury
Heh, I can imagine that happening.
I also have a confession to make:
When HBK came out on RAW and was saying, "I need someone who loves America as much as I do, I need an American hero," and so on...
... I was like, "Kurt Angle?!?!"
I totally forgot that Hogan was going to wrestle once more... I thought it was going to be at WM22 :(

I think it would be truely great to see Hogan in one last match, obviously he'd win.
Now that HHH is really injured, it would be nice to see him stay out for at least a few months, and let a few other people have the title rather than someone-HHH-someone-HHH-someone-HHH and so forth.
Did you know that since 2nd September 2002, hes held the title 5 times, and 2 of those times he didnt even beat anyone
Apparently he just got a stinger :-\

Smackdown! isn't a live show, though... it's taped on Tuesdays.
RAW is the sole live show of the two. I think that's why SD! gets so much heat... because if they screw up live, then people notice... but if they screw up the tapings they can just shoot something over again.
Like the Big Show tipping the Jeep thing... apparently that took twenty minutes and he needed assistance to do it. If he couldn't do it live, then he'd be a laughingstock, whereas the people at those shows are the only ones who know that he didn't do it the first time.

Booker T vs. Big Show next week. I'm not sure as to what's going down with that, to be honest... but the other two were predictable matches.
So the triple threat is either going to be JBL/Angle/Big Show or JBL/Angle/Booker T.
Not exactly the greatest triple threat matches, considering JBL is going to win it anyway somehow.
And I really really really hope he drops that stupid Cabinet gimmick.

Honestly I think that The Big SHow vs Akebono was a real match. There was no real rivalry there and each showed respect. I think that they really were doing a sumo type deal unscripted.
Nah, I disagree. I highly doubt that Akebono would have allowed Big Show to just pick him up like he did without using some form of a sumo maneuver.

The wrestlers are even talking about how sucky SD! is. Before Wrestlemania, this morning show I listen to was having an over-the-phone interview with Chris Jericho and the DJ asked him if he's heard anything about the rumor of another draft. Jericho replied with something like "I've heard something like that. We need one, who cares about Smackdown! anymore anyway?

Yep, I noticed the XFL box too. Not sure why Vince would want something like that failure haunting the Smackdown locker room.. Probably just a mistake.
The new tag-team consists of Johnny Nitro and Joey Matthews (Mercury). Nitro was on RAW about a year ago, he was that chimp that Eric Bischoff used to bring around with him. This was before the whole Eugene angle. Nitro didnt really have any purpose, and he wasnt getting over as a heel, so they dropped the whole angle. He wrestled a handful of matches on RAW around that time.
As for Joey Matthews, hes a friend of the Hardy Boyz. They mention him quite a bit in their book, he has been wrestling for a number of years on the Indy circuit, I think. I haven't seen him in action, so heres hoping hes got some skill.. Maybe Smackdown will have a flashy tag-team to boast about soon! :thumb:

Remember back when Dupree had a massive black eye for a while?
Hardcore Holly did that to him in a house show match, basically Dupree had gotten a speeding ticket in Holly's rental car, and thrown it away. So a few months after, it hadn't been paid and Holly was called back to court two states away (had to fly there at his own expense etc) to pay the overdue ticket.
To get back at Dupree, when he was working the house show match in a Tag Team against him, Holly took Dupree straight to the outside, threw a bunch of straight, stiff punches and kicks and then some really solid chair shots. All real, none of it softened up like it would be in a match. Dupree's face and eye swelled up straight away and he was smart enough to stay down, and Holly just talked some trash to him and then left.

Im on a wrestling forum, and they are talking about WM23 being in England.Americans keep saying 'it would never work because it'd be on too early for us'. But dont they think its time for a change, Here in England we have to stay up till 4am to watch it, surely Americans could watch it at 5pm or something similar. Same applies to any country that they may visit
Frankenstrat
04-17-2005, 11:20 AM
I dont get why Hardcore Holly wasnt punished for doing that, say he had given Dupree a serious concussion or something that ended his career, that would not only suck for Dupree but for the company. Also what if Dupree fought back and it ended up into a real fight?
gaslight
04-17-2005, 11:28 AM
I think Dupree understood that he was getting his own punishment for screwing Holly with that speeding ticket, which was supposedly intentional. It cost Holly money and time out of his schedule, so Dupree could probably have been punished for that as well.

True, but you cant just go hitting people like that. If you did that in the street, you would be arrested.
Heh, wow, I didn't know about the Holly/Dupree incident. That sucks.
Is it me, or are Holly/Hass just basically a jobber tag team who wins a lot?
I mean, you have:
Rey/Eddie

MNM
Holly/Hass
