ROH, from what I've seen, is very entertaining from a wrestling standpoint, something the E should take notice of. The only video I have on my computer here is Spanky vs. London, where the announcers put over both men as well as the Code of Honor (the five [?] rules of ROH), and I think that that is really, really cool.
Damn that must be an old match since those 2 are both with WWE now. But yeah, some of the best matches I've ever seen have been in ROH. They do well for themselves.

Orton vs Y2J is being thrown around for the main event tonight so it's pretty much a sure thing that the save_us.222 is Y2J
There are only, what, six matches tonight? I was thinking that they're actually going to have an over-the-top battle royal that will take, I dunno, 35 minutes-ish. The final four will be Snitsky, Val Venis, Mr. Kennedy, and Orton. Orton will win by tossing Kennedy to claim the title. Post-match, while Orton is doing his shtick, the lights are going to go out, the countdown is going to hit, Jericho comes out, and RAW's rating skyrockets the next day.

I was shocked when I heard it too, although it has been subtlely built for a while now. I was more shocked that Aries won the first match between him and Dragon. Bring on the next shows I say.
And I think Videowires go up Wednesdays, so I'll be looking out for that one.
So, in case anybody cares, here's what happened in thirty minutes so far at No Mercy:
Vince and Regal come down to the ring and crown Orton the new champion.
HHH comes out and challenges Orton.
Vince says that Orton gets to pick who he wrestles.
HHH says that Vince has no guts.
Vince calls the match.
Ten minutes later, HHH hits an inside cradle to win the championship.
Uuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuggggggggggghhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh .
lame, lame, lame, lame, ****ing LAME.
**** No Mercy, I can already tell it's gonna be a trainwreck.
Bonus match: Jeff Hardy and the Hooliganz vs. Brokeback Mountain and Mr. Kennedy
No way, man! It's just like the RAW match except with Kennedy instead of Shelton. London's running SSP off the apron was sick! And, it was a great match; just too short, like every other match on RAW that's not the main event.
Even lamer.

I'm still calling that Randy will get his rematch at the end of the night after Triple H/Umaga and take the title back. If not, congratulations WWE. You out-Russo'd Russo.

Nah, no way... if Undertaker/Kane vs. Hardy/MVP got knocked off until Friday, I'm pretty certain at least two of them will be at this PPV in some capacity.
I'm downloading this tomorrow purely to see how bad it is. I'm just reading results at the moment, but it sounds like someone aborted this PPV half way through it.

Chicago is always dominated by smarts, so you can imagine how pissed they are. They were FURIOUS with the ECW match's outcome.
I can imagine, it's Punk's hometown and he got all of 90 seconds on there. I feel bad for Tazz and Joey though. Sitting there for 2 hours of this to call a 90 second match.

The thing is, I'm 90% certain they were piping out the boos. You can always tell when cheers are being piped in, but piping out boos is a lot tougher... but this is one of those times where I'm fairly certain the production crew was trying to assuage them out.

WWE can't have matches with respect. That's just downright logical, and we can't have that in Vince's imagination.

The X isn't even used anymore, since they just use mics to get the message over. It's still hilarious how Finlay owned everyone and brought a shred of hope back to this PPV.
The refs have mics? I didn't know that; I just thought they had the ear pieces so they could hear instructions from the gorilla position from the agents, but that that was it.

That chick is a brick shithouse but still very pretty. Everybody slags Candice (especially her voice) but she really improved as a performer in-ring and deserves credit for that. Phoenix is probably going to have a monster run with the title, though, unless they decide to re-push Mickie James.
EDIT: not like the women's or cruiserweight titles mean jack anymore
Comparing Candice to Trish is like comparing 2000's Hacksaw to early 90's Hacksaw.
I really don't like Candice. It just seems like she learns all these new moves for one week and forgets them the next. That said, it's sad the Divas are getting a taste of the OMG I LOVE MONSTERS RAWR!!! side of Vince.
Kif, looks like you're right - the one report I read of the Finlay/Rey match is that it was definitely a work... but, again, a testament of Finlay's selling and workmanship, I think.
The last great injury sell I remember was AJ Styles against Rhyno before he turned heel. Hopefully that bit will be on Youtube so I don't have to waste ratio on this PPV (Or maybe they will make it free to download thanks to it's crapiness)

So I've been reading the results, and the Main Event sounds like a heck of a match.
Plus Randy won.
Yeah, lots of near-falls (as in, getting up at the count of nine) in the match, and at least Orton retained. I was surprised that it went three hours with only six matches scheduled, although they did add the six-man match, although the ECW match took all of ninety seconds.

Yeah, I hope it's INTO Survivor Series, not before it (i.e. Cyber Sunday in three weeks). Edge is set to return for SS, so that's the only reason why I'd want to see Jericho at CS - overshadowing Edge's return. I'm not a huge Edge fan or anything, but Smackdown! has definitely missed his character.

If you take a moment to look at some calls he makes, chances are you'll see that he ruins many scripted moments through his lack of announcing skills. Here's my favorite Don moment...

Cage of Death 5 - best ever design for a match. One of the best cage matches I've seen. Only slightly beaten by the first hell in a cell.
I've only seen the Cage of Death between ROH and CZW, but damn that was a ridiculous match.

People who slate CZW should watch that. First half a montage of less violent and more wrestling matches. 2nd half just unbelievable carnage. A lot better than the fake ECW. Chokebomb at the end through flaming tables is just :eek:
I like CZW in doses. Most times I think they just try too hard to be shocking though. The way I see it, there has to be a reason for the violence, like an escalated feud or something.

Hmmm I'm getting my COD's mixed up then. Cos the best one is were they have an elevated ramp made of chain link fence 2 rings one covered in thumbtacks and one ring with the electrified cage.
Absolutely offit.
EDIT: Nah COD 7 was with the octagonal ring. COD 5 was with the suspended ramp.
Do you know if there will be a COD this December? Seems that's when most of them are.

I meant the Reverse Battle Royal. I'm actually looking forward to the women's gauntlet, despite calling the women's title the Knockout Championship. There's some real talent in that match, so it should be good to watch (Although I'll bet money the TNA crowd there completely shits on it.

RVD's not with the WWE anymore. Whats the chances of TNA getting him. I'd much rather see him in for the World title rather than boring old man sting.
Not good now that TNA have announced they will be drug testing as well now. We all know RVD won't go anywhere he will be rumbled for smoking up.
And agreed on Flair. At most, put him away for a while then bring him out as a manager. He could put anyone over as their manager, heel or face.

I honestly don't know why TNA insist on keeping AJ styles down. It's been 2 and 1/2 years since he last held the main title while poor wrestlers like Christian have been given a run.
Dude they are so winning the titles tonight. That's hardly putting him down. I think they are just taking their time bringing some of their X Division guys into the main event. They know that when Joe wins the title, it will be huge for the company, so why not take your time with it?
Besides which, I love AJ as a heel. Him and Christian, hell even him and Tomko, have great chemistry. AJ is funny as hell.
I have no idea what a Monster's Ball match is, but I'm assuming it's just a hardcore match. With Rhyno, Abyss and Raven in there, it should be a great match.
I'm predicting Angle and Lethal retain, AJ and Tomko win the tag titles, and Gail Kim wins the women's title (I'm not calling it the Knockout title, that's just retarded). If not Gail, maybe Shelly since she's the only new girl who stands a chance. Christian will pin Joe after Matt turns on Joe, XXX will win Ultimate X, Team 3D will win the 2/3 tables match, Raven will win Monster's Ball and Chris Harris will win the reverse battle royal.
Please don't screw this up TNA. No Mercy was a crapfest, here is your chance to be better than WWE (At least in my eyes).

AJ is the funniest dude ever.
Monster's Ball is a weird gimmick match about being locked in a dark room for 24 hours pre-match and then having it hardcore.
Sting winning the title is a 99% chance and would have a massive crowd pop.
What was bad about No Mercy? It was the best PPV since Wrestlemania. HHH vs. Orton (LMS) was easily a MOTY contender.
One match can't save a PPV. Punk, not putting MVP and Matt in a match, Candice/Phoenix botching most of the match. I loved the whole Orton regaining the title after losing it the same night, but the rest of the PPV brought it down.

What? The opener was yet another MOTY contender. Every single match was fantastic.
I didn't see it so I have no idea yet. Christian/Joe stole the show though. That was one of the best matches TNA have put on, even with the interference.

Yeah, Joe and Cage was perfect, mainly with the ending. Joe is the stiffest mofo in wrestling, I swear. The one counter kick was so brutal.
Christian did some pretty awesome stuff this match too. When Joe flipped him onto the outside of the ring, and Christian did a handstand, sprung off the ropes, flipped back and DDTd Joe on the outside, I was like :eek:
I've got part 1 downloaded now, getting part 2. I was watching the stream last night but it was poor so I turned it off.

WWE.com has learned that several meetings have taken place between Acting SmackDown General Manager Vickie Guerrero and ECW General Manager Armando Estrada that, if ratified, would allow SmackDown and ECW Superstars to compete on Tuesday and Friday nights.
While nothing is signed as of yet, locker room sources say that this open door agreement between Vickie and the cunning Cuban shyster will be discussed tonight, live on ECW on Sci Fi. No further details have been released, and when pressed for more information, Estrada was tight-lipped (a rarity in its own right).
“I have no news for you right now,” said Estrada. “But tonight on ECW on Sci Fi (10/9 CT), I will give some insight into these, come se dice, meetings.”
WWE has come to terms on the release of WWE Superstar Booker T and WWE Diva Sharmell as of October 27. We wish both Booker & Sharmell he best in all their future endeavors.

So the latest video, save_us.229, is up on WWE linked at the bottom with the rest (And in the new ECW main story). These are getting weirder. I got a Taker feel at the start of the video before all the weird codes came up.

Apparently ECW is ending in December. If it does end up merging with Smackdown, I hope they get rid of the Cruiserweight title and just use the ECW title. It's practically worth as much now anyway.

Still I wish they'd have more on ECW than the generic Morrison/Punk matches and Balls turning into a pimp. Needs another storyline really. Also, there's always only one ECW match per PPV. I wish they'd have something to get the crowd ready, like the X Division spotfests TNA usually put on first.

Kane/Big Bad Voodoo Titties is the main event tonight for ECW. With the SD! invasion angle, there'll be more opportunities for underpushed performers (the cruisers, Kenny Dykstra/Jonny Jeter/etc.) to get some air time, as well as hopefully bring in some new talent (Colt Cabana?).
I'd kill to see Colt on ECW, but Punk was in OVW for about 2 years before getting called up, right?
And god I hope Kane wins.

Due to the nature of the Teddy Long storyline, where Kristal Marshal had left TV to be with Teddy, neither her nor WWE have acknowledged her release. The original storyline plan was that Vickie Guerrero would have been behind the Teddy Long heart attack, as a way to become the heel general manager of Smackdown.
That plan was then changed, and the new plan for the angle with Teddy Long was that it would be revealed that Edge had put Kristal up to seducing Long to get him out of the picture on Smackdown, as revenge for Long stripping Edge of the World Heavyweight Championship when Edge was injured. Edge and Kristal would then become a retread of Edge and Lita from Raw, with Marshal becoming a much more sexual character. Kristal was very against the idea for a number of reasons, mainly the sexuality of it.
She is currently dating Raw superstar Bobby Lashley, and the two of them had both been pushing for Kristal to be moved to Raw so they could be together. WWE was not in favor of this, and decided that if she wasn't going to "play ball" with them on the Edge storyline, then there were plenty of divas who would and she was then released. No word on how Lashley is reacting to this release.

More details are coming in on Kristal Marshall's release. According to one source, she had been caught lying to WWE writers a few times. Apparently she would tell people that Teddy or Vickie weren't happy with certain angles, then Teddy and Vickie would be upset when word got back to them about what Kristal had said. She was also known for ignoring feedback from WWE agents about her segments and matches at live events. Agents would ask her to sell beatings and instead she would just jump up and slap hands with the fans all the way to the back. There was a plan to move her from SmackDown to RAW since she is dating Bobby Lashley but as the heat piled up on her, Vince finally had enough and asked why were they investing in her. One plan had Vickie gaining power and firing Kristal about a week later once the Viagra angle went down. This would have been a legit firing, and not just a move to RAW.

We tried everything obvious until a couple of people and I looked in the page source and found the command line

I like Raw better but ECW is the most consistently great show on TV. Always great matches. No stupid segments or anything.
I try to watch Raw, but I just get too bored. The occasional solid match (Jeff, Shelton, Kennedy and Londrick are all worth watching, whoever they are against) doesn't make up for all the talking and boring promos and interviews, as well as the horrible matches.

Anyone else noticed the Divas has completely disappeared from WWE.com? Raw doesn't even mention the Women's title. Wonder what's up with that.

They've been revamping the site so it's probably something with that. Who knows though.
That's what I thought too, but getting rid of just the Women's title from the Raw page? That's a little odd.

Jericho got confirmed last night on Raw! It said "break the walls" or "break the walls down" and had a countdown to next Monday's Raw :D:D:D
Apparently he's on the cover of the new WWE mag too. If he doesn't turn up on Raw next week, so many people are going to be pissed it's unbelivable. Personally I'll believe it when I see it. Not getting my hopes up just yet.

Whatever it is, has to happen next week. Any more delays and people will just give up. It will be nearly 2 months since the videos started to appear, and the buzz around it can only last a certain amount of time.

I think he left in early 2005; he had a program with Cena, put Cena over, and then took a break from the industry.
