Last night's promo summed that up for me. It looks like Undertaker is going back to the truly evil style he had in the attitude era. That'd be great for another yearlong run.

I don't watch Smackdown, but if he does go back to the Ministry-style Undertaker, I might. I really did love Taker as a heel, with that awesome beard. I think he'll be one of those heels people actually cheer for, which is awesome.

Royal Rumble, Survivor Series, Summerslam and WrestleMania I'll always watch. The others I don't care for, unless there's a decent card. I'm hardly ever disappointed with WrestleMania.

Currently I watch RAW, Smackdown and ECW at work, which is rather hard at times. I personally prefer Smackdown out of the 3, but that's just me. I don't like watching ECW, cause Dreamer is all roided up and uses a neckbreaker every other move.

I can see them turning him heel if he doesn't get enough pop in the next time. After all his straight edge persona always rambled in Ring of Honor about being better than EVERYONE, because he doesn't drink/smoke/do drugs. It would make tons of sense actually. Either way, Punk makes the best out of his limited situation, so props to him.

ECW looks good tonight, surprisingly. Two confirmed matches are RVD vs. Elijah Burke as a battle of captains, and then the main event is the Hardy Boyz, CM Punk, and Edge (wtf @ this at first glance, but then you realize, duh, he has a broken jaw and will puss out anyway) vs. Finlay, Booker, Mr. Kennedy, and Randy Orton.

As for the tag titles, someone is getting screwed. If Cena loses and turns heel, then my guess is he will screw over HBK. That's the angle I'm hoping for to be honest. I always wondered why they couldn't unify the titles, people jump from one brand to the other without rhyme or reason... but then there was a rumor of the ECW brand getting tag titles, but now that La Resistance folded for some reason (I forgot why, exactly, I think it had to do with Rene Dupree f'ing up again), maybe they won't have titles. That way, feuds would increase, as well as more exposure for the superstars on two networks.

The best way to look at it is if Raw and SD are competing against each other. In practice clearly they aren't since they are both owned by WWE anyway, but still, that's how I look at it, and that's how I think WWE want it to be too. Unifying the titles is pointless, and would probably sctew over a lot of talent.

I am not saying that the brand extension is officially dead but it appears to be on life support.
WWE has announced that all PPV’s will now be joint efforts. The low buyrates are of course the reason for this and also because the fans have wanted this for along time now, but I am sure WWE will claim it to be a decision they made because of other circumstances. I have been an advocate to get rid of the brand extension from day one so I am very happy that WWE is at least going to remove it from the PPV’s. I like the idea of the PPV’s but what it does is render the big four PPV’s somewhat ordinary. Really besides WrestleMania the other three big shows like SummerSlam, Survivor Series, and Royal Rumble do not differentiate themselves like they did. Yes Royal Rumble and Survivor Series have their hook but is that enough now?

I am not of the belief that the brand extension created more jobs because that is a catch twenty two situation. It may have created more roster spots but those roster spots are being filled by wrestlers that are no where close to being ready for primetime. If the top stars took up the majority of spots then WWE would not rush guys from the developmental system and allow them to properly develop for a minimum of three years. I like the build to WrsetleMania and the fact that all three shows have had the stars pushing the importance of the upcoming show. This should really help creative stay more focused because the writers will not have a full month off from writing for a PPV any longer.

House show business may remain the same but PPV’s and Raw, Smackdown, and ECW should all see growth because fans will now be treated to the possibility that any wrestler will be on the card that night. Of course now the WWE needs to get rid of General Managers for particular shows and anoint someone like Teddy Long the commissioner of the entire WWE Company. That would allow for him to explain all the cross promoting and star jumping that we are currently getting. Yes a lot of guys will still be regulated to one show and that is fine, but the big names will be on all shows and this will also create new feuds and the potential for some exciting title changes.

Take for example the Women’s title match for WrestleMania. If Ashley wins she should not have to be on Raw from now on but the women should have to travel to her if they want a match. Let Trinity of ECW wrestle Ashley on Smackdown for the Raw Women’s title. Have Carlito challenge Chavo for the cruiserweight title on Raw. Hell have Lashley defend the ECW title against Batista on Raw. I think this gives the WWE a chance to really make some intriguing matches and feuds. This is what the fans have been clamoring for for some time now. I have said for awhile that eventually all the top feuds would run dry and there would be no new matchups and that has absolutely happened.

WWE can now build stars without rushing them before the fans have fully invested into them. Guys like Carlito, Nitro, Dykstra, Kennedy, Umaga, and Lashley all have big upside but are not in a position just yet to carry a company or even a PPV or their own just yet.WWE can now use guys like Cena, Batista, HBK, Taker, Rey, Beniot, Edge, Orton, and RVD to feud at the top and let the midcard guys build up the fan support necessary to move them up the main event ladder. This also allows guys like Burchill and Harry Smith and others to really be groomed for the main roster. This may also allow WWE not to make the mistake of firing good young talent like Brent Albright because he was rushed to the big league too soon.

I also would start to combine title like the Tag team titles since having two separate champions really does not work. That is a title that should be capable of being defended on all shows and would also allow for tag champions to be apart of ECW without having to add another separate title to a one hour show. If it were me I would eliminate the cruiserweight title altogether and put more onus on the United States Title belt. Let that belt be used for any weight class throughout any brand so that an importance is bestowed upon it again. I would have the title break down be as followed.WWE champion, World champion,ECW champion, Tag Team champions, Women’s Champion, US champion, and IC champion. Seven titles spread out over three brands should be plenty.

This way no less than three title belts should be on the line at every PPV.The commissioner would then be responsible for deciding who the top contenders are for the roaming title through conterdership matches that are done throughout all three brands.WWE can have battle royals that are between all three brands and the winner becomes number one contender to a belt like the US title. The King of the Ring event can now be between all three brands with the winner truly being the king of the ring and not king of the brand like it is now. The possibilities open up so much and that should help creative come up with a ton of fresh ideas.

Bottom Line:

The announcement of all the PPV’s being a joint effort is a good start but there is so much more WWE can do with this while not fully abandoning the brand extension concept. As I said house shows will not benefit much from this proposal but all the other business outlets should see tons of growth, especially buyrates.WWE has been chugging along nicely from Royal Rumble to WrestleMania, there were still bumps along the way but it was much better, and could do very good business for the rest of the year if the WWE were to do some of this. At least WWE was smart enough to realize that a lot of money was being left on the table and made changes to acquire it.

The concepts are there for WWE to have a good year but the big question will always be, can creative keep up with the storylines? That is the problem plaguing WWE and since the creative team is doing a good job there is no reason to believe they cannot but the true test will be how things are going long after WrestleMania is over. Speaking of WresleMania I hope everyone enjoys what should be a good show this Sunday. You have just read another chapter of the Forzese Files and as always feedback is greatly appreciated.

That's what I was thinking, but then at the same time Kennedy (as much as I hate to admit it) is going to be the next big WWE superstar. Kind of like a new Chris Jericho and with so many superstars on the brink of retiring (HBK, Taker, HHH, Flair) Vince needs some new talent. I don't see him dumping such a large prospect off on ECW (in fact, I was surprised he did that with Lashley). Also, Kennedy has a year to cash in his title shot. Taker could have a couple new rivalries, concur said new enemies and by then everyone will have forgotten about the taker-kennedy rivalry, so it wouldn't seem so odd to renew it. I agree partly. The reason why turning him heel sucks is because, aside from RVD (Lashley doesn't count because he does his feuding on RAW and SD!), what main-event face is there? Tommy Dreamer would be the next-best candidate, and that's a huuuuuuuuuuge stretch. It's no wonder the E is pushing RVD to stay.

However, CM functions much better as a heel, if his ROH days are anything to go by. It'll be interesting to see what happens, I guess.

As for the 3-on-1, Lashley is going to retain. Umaga will probably get caught in the ropes and either Vince or Shane will take the pinfall (probably Shane). If it was an elimination match, then yeah, Lashley would have a big fight ahead of him. However, I still envision him having the ECW title indefinitely.

I think Lashley will get his behind handed to him for a substantial amount of time. Then at one point Umaga will accidentally hit either Shane or Vince and end up being forced away from the ring or fired. Then as Shane and Vince continue, Vince makes sure that he gets to pin Lashley - Shane doesnt like that and walks off. Leaving Vince to deal with an irate Lashley, losing easily.

I don't think MVP is going to be fired any time soon. I hate the guy, too, but that's because he's doing a surprisingly good job at being that pain in the ***, annoying heel. So, basically, he shouldn't be fired because he's doing his job! Heh.

He reminds me of Jerry Maguire's client in a lot of ways in the movie. I'm fairly certain he'll be the next US Title holder, and maybe Benoit will jump to RAW, turn heel, and feud with Cena (wishful thinking, seeing as how I'm pretty certain Cena's going to retain at Backlash).

Hooliganz/Hardyz match would be insane, and would definitely bring back the old days of the Hardyz. Usually they are the ones who carry ladder matches, but with them it would be chaos.

And I hope Randy doesn't get fired. Because

A) That would mean TNA would try to snap him up faster than he could trash another hotel room, and
B) I like him on WWE. I think his character suits the style of show WWE goes for

I think he just needs to be put on leave for a bit and go to some required counseling, and maybe come back with a fresh outlook. It's too bad that he was this really good heel, and then the WWE ****ed up by giving him this pussy face turn, and now, he's just got Randy Ortonitis in that he doesn't garner as big of a reaction as he used to. It seems like his character and career is meandering, and maybe he just needs to take some time away and straighten himself out and come back. I hate that douche pose (you know the one, where he's got the arms extended and stuff... it just screams, "I'm a douche!"), but it adds to his character, and I'd hate to see him flounder, but he needs to hold himself more accountable for his actions.
