Cheers for the second part of One Night Stand, aswell. Mike Awesome vs Masato Tanaka was pretty brutal. The RAW/Smackdown vs ECW brawl was pretty funny. Sandman was just sat on the turnbuckle, occasionally smacking people with his Singapore Cane.

Hmmm, I have a few videos floating about my computer somewhere. I'll try getting something uploaded when I have the time.

I did have a match between 'Stunning' Steve Austin and Ricky 'The Dragon' Steamboat for the WCW Television Title from 1992. It's pretty funny to see Austin with long blonde hair and rather colourful looking shorts.

Also have a few old WWE matches and some random hardcore ones. Upload speeds of 6 kb/sec suck though!

I really wish they'd have made RVD a surprise entrant... I mean, everyone seemed to know he's been ready to come back just about, but to hear that swooshing sound before "One of a kind!" blares out of the speakers would have ruled.

And I'm down with an Angle/HBK III. I just wish it was for a title.

So I haven't watched wrestling in 5 or 6 years. I was flipping throught the channels last night and I see Monday night Raw. I notice that the guy on the screen looks all too familiar. It was John Cena. I knew he had entered the WWE a while ago but apparently hes one of the main guys or whatever now. Hes from my town and he used to babysit my friends and I and umpire our baseball games. It was just very weird. I dont know what he was thinking with this white rapper stuff...we're from a suburban/farm town.

Edge...world...champion...wow. :amaze: We were all way off on our predictions with that one I must say. It makes me wonder how far that back that story long has gone. If it was planned that way from the very time he won that money-in-the-bank. It was so long ago in fact that I forgot that it was a ticket for first-contendership. I thought he was just carrying a suitcase around to look cool. But no matter... First it made me angry about Edge that he won. He's a mid-carder caught in a feud with Ric Flair, where does this all fit in? And what about what he did to Matt Hardy. They broke one of the sacred rules of the locker room. And then I thought,"wait a minute, this makes me angry,That's the whole point!" To be a tad more positive I'm glad that WWE did something I couldn't predict. Whether Edge is deserving of a championship reign is another question but the fact that he is unquestionably entertaining.

Speaking of entertaining...live sex show  But damn was it funny.

I'm totally marking out over the return of RVD. Easily one of my favorite wrestlers all the time, and finally somebody that I can root for consistently. This is really his chance to do something special. Think about this...
There was technically 7 wrestlers involved in the main event at NYR. Only one of them (Shawn Michaels) is a full-fledged babyface. This is really RVD's chance to catapult himself to main event status. Like I said there was a part of me that admitted that I hated the ending to the EC...but it would have been so cool if they did that with RVD! *dreams* "...And your NEW WWE HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPION OF THE WORLD! ROB...VAN...DAAAAAAAAAAM!"

/completly marks out

I realize that this probably won't ever happen, but if it does the time is now. The WWE is really hurting for good guys. RVD will be infinitely cool to all fans. I really feel like he deserves it too. That's what I would do :p

Triple H...wtf? He's starting to look like Joe Dirt with that facial hair. Grow a beard or shave the rest... His facial hair is starting to look like a jigsaw puzzle.

Shelton Benjamin heel turning...coming...coming...no no,not quite yet...coming...oh shi
His mom might as well have a sign on her that says "Sponsored By Aunt Jemima" Could it be anymore stereotypical? I'm not sure where they are taking this angle. When are we going to see S.B. turn heel? When is he going to start coming out talking like a thug and wearing FUBU? Godamn where is New Jack and Mustafa?

Oh and back to that whole Edge-is-world-champ-while-in-middle-of-feud-with-Ric Flair-thing? Please someone...PLEASE let me know that Ric Flair is not going to be world champ yet AGAIN. No...more. He's still a great worker sure but he is no longer world champ material (at least in my mind) But you never know... "DUBYA-CEE-DUB...DUBYA-CEE-DUB"

That is all for now...as I have not watched TNA yet and I probably won't watch Smackdown. Cheers fellow wrestling fans! :chug:

What I don't understand is why WWE.com spoiled Friday's show.

It'll be interesting to see how they explain Angle's jump next week.

To me, it seems like they're making Angle and Smackdown weak.

It said that Angle eliminated JBL right away, so that could be a cool feud. Who goes face, though, Angle or JBL?

JBL: "You couldn't beat John Cena, so you come to Smackdown, you come to MY show and you take MY title from ME. You may be an Olympic gold medalist, but I am a wrestling GOD!"

Angle: "I was screwed by John Cena more times than you'll ever be screwed in your life!"

JBL: "Yo mama!"

Angle: "no u"

Nope, althougth the thread title says WWE it really is general wrestling discussion no matter what the federation. Welcome :)

I actually prefer the wrestling to TNA to WWE. The main appeal of the WWE for me thougth is that I'm more warmed up to the characters. They have guys whose career's I've been following for years, while TNA has tons of new wrestlers. Which is a great thing,it's just more comfortable with something you know. Brock Lesner quit the WWE (right in the middle of his championship reign) to go tryout for the NFL. He is actually trying to get back into wrestling in Japan right now and is involved in a big court battle with the WWE about it.

Yeah, the show was actually pretty good, even though both matches were spoiled on WWE.com this week.

The Orton/Benoit match was LONG, but it was awesome because it was more technical than brawling. Lots and lots and lots of chops from Benoit (I lost count at 34,701), and lots of eye-rakes from the heel (I lost count at 23,910).

In the end, the ref got bumped when Orton kicked out of the sharpshooter.

OJ ran down to try to interfere, but Orton punched him off.

As Orton turned, Benoit put him in the Crossface and Orton tapped, but the ref wasn't around.

Booker and Sharmell hobbled out, but Benoit let go of Orton and punched Booker to the outside.

He locked on the Crossface again, and Orton tapped again.

Booker came into the ring with the title and knocked out Benoit.

Ref comes to, Orton (Booker) is the undisputed champ.

Battle Royal:

In the first five minutes, Mark Henry butted (with his butt, not with his head) Angle through the bottom rope, followed him out, and military press-slammed him through the announcer's table. Angle was there for the rest of the match.

It came down to Mysterio and Henry. Mysterio hit two 619s, but was caught with the West Coast Pop and Henry tossed him out.

Angle "hulked up" on the outside, charged in, and started beating on Henry. Ten minutes later, Angle head-scissor'd Henry out to the floor. One of Angle's feet hit, but both of Henry's did, so Angle is the new champion.

World Wrestling Entertainment announced today that Edge will defend the WWE Championship against Ric Flair in a TLC match on this Monday's WWE RAW.

Also scheduled for the show is WWE World champion Kurt Angle vs. Shawn Michaels in what will likely be Angle's final appearance on the RAW roster.

Later on RAW, Cena returned the favor when he attacked Edge after the Rated R Superstar's successful title defense against Ric Flair in a brutal TLC Match. Tonight on RAW, they will be in tag team action. WWE Champion Edge and a partner of his choice will face John Cena and a partner of his choice. Who will they choose as their partner? Find out on RAW.

Kane, who destroyed Carlito last week on RAW, will look to punish him again tonight.

WWE Women's Champion Trish Stratus and Ashley will take on the team of Candice and Victoria. Will Mickie be able to stay out of Trish's business this week? Find out on RAW.

Also, Shawn Michaels will take on Shelton Benjamin. Will Shelton's momma continue to assist her son and keep him on the winning track?

For all this and more, watch Monday Night RAW tonight on USA (9/8 CT).

This might not be too bad of a show prior to the Rumble, but 24 is on from 9-10, so I'm going to have to tape it or something, haha.

We'll call it the Wrestling Draft. Based on how many people we get in, there'll be an X number of rounds.

Each round, you draft someone from WWE or TNA. In the last round, you can pick any two people.

The rules are simple:

1. Book your own dream PPV with the wrestlers you draft
2. You must have at least one tag-team match on your card.
3. You can make whatever stipulations (if any) if you want.
4. Tag teams are separate - for example, if you were going to try to draft MNM, you need to draft Mercury, then Nitro (or vice versa). The only exception is if you take them in the last round.
5. You can use wrestlers from the past as well as the present.
6. Wrestlers with more than one gimmick are the same wrestler (example: Mankind, Cactus Jack, and Dude Love are the same person - as soon as Mick Foley is gone, he's gone).
7. The draft will be a snake draft - starting from 1 and going to X in the first round, then X to 1 in the second, and so on.

Sound cool? I saw this in another forum and really think it's cool, because there have been some amazing dream PPVs.

We can do this on your board, if you'd like, but I'd like to get as many people as possible here so I can adjust the rules.

For those wondering who exactly were the members of the Spirit Squad last night during the Jerry “The King” Lawler vs. The Coach match, below is more details on each member:

Ken Doane - Doane is only 19 or 20 years of age and has feuded with Brent Albright and CM Punk for the OVW TV title and is said to be good on the mic. One industry source compared Doane to Randy Orton.

Johnny Jeter - Explained as a “focal point” in Ohio Valley Wrestling throughout the last several months. His most notable feud came with former Tough Enough winner Matt Cappotelli over the OVW title.

Nick Nemeth - Formerly Kerwin White’s caddy on RAW.

Mike Mondo - Developmental talent from the New York area.

Nick Mitchell - Mitchell was a competitor in last year’s Million Dollar Tough Enough competition.

I recognized two of the guys, but the other three I was lost on.

I was quite content with Trish Stratus, Ashley and errrr, well I don't remember the names of the other chicks.

Spirit squad you say. I must of missed it when we got busy again

I was joking, heh.

Basically, what happened is that Jerry Lawler had the upper hand in the match, then all of a sudden this fight song erupted and these five indie wrestlers dressed in green-and-white cheerleader uniforms came out and started doing this extended cheer for coach. They spelt "Coach" with their bodies and then did this incredibly obnoxious cheer around the ring that went, "Coach, coach, he rocks the house! He rocks the house! All the way to the ground!"

After the cheer, The King was looking towards the gorilla position, and Coachman small packaged him up for the pin.

You tricked me! I feel so used.

Coachman beat Jerry Lawler? Man, that's so dodgy. What the hell happened with Coachman anyway? When did he turn into this obnoxious bastard? last I saw of him was in about 2001/2002 when he was quiet mannered and just gave the highlights on RAW.

Well, it was for a Rumble spot (Rumble this Sunday, omgz!), and I don't think The King would have lasted very long in there, as healthy and as sound as he is.

The Coach will probably get his *** handed to him by someone, anyway, haha. Oh, and I'm sure it'll be Tazz and the King announcing the Rumble or something, unless all four announcers are there together.

And the Coach has been cocky for as long as I can remember. That's always been his gimmick for awhile, heh.

Its quite a funny read, I'm a little scared about comments on his 'little guy' !, and also a little curious as to what Stacy will say after she reads it.

So there are two mystery spots left in the Rumble for the Raw guys, one for the Smackdown.

I'd say the Smackdown one is Undertaker, but I'm not sure who the Raw ones would be.

My friend's theory is that if Cena loses to Edge, he'll enter the Rumble and win another title shot. Pretty good idea that one.

Cena is no way near as bad as people make out.

In HHH's case, there is no other gimmick that would work for him now. The only other option would be to bring back the McMahon-Helmsley era, but then so called 'fans' complain that the McMahons just want to be back on tv. Its a lose-lose situation for them.

The 2006 Royal Rumble Match - HHH
WWE Champion Edge vs. John Cena - Cena
World Heavyweight Champion Kurt Angle vs. Mark Henry - Angle
The Boogeyman vs. JBL - JBL by cheating
Mickie James vs. Ashley - Mickie James with a heel turn
Open Invitational Match for the Cruiserweight Championship - (who cares?) Kid Kash

Kurt Angle vs Mark Henry - Henry

Mickie James vs Ashely - (i have no idea who these divas are) Ashley
Cruiserweight Invitational (rumour has it Funaki will be challenging) - Funaki

My predictions for tonight.

I like HHH's gimmick, even though it's pretty limiting because it is a stretch to justify him doing anything except going for/having the title.

The majority of casual WWE fans aren't too discerning though, you could swap gimmicks completely every month and they wouldn't blink, you could take someone off TV and they'd be forgotten in two weeks.

I'm hoping Cena's main event run doesn't continue much longer, he works hard but I'm just sick of seeing him and that lame excuse for a finisher. I think you should learn how to be great in the ring before you're made champion, not after. Though Cena brings the company a ton of money through all the fangirls buying merchandise.

And yeah, as an Edge fan, I too have to say Cena v Edge at Wrestlemania would suck. I don't like the idea of Cena chasing the title at WM22 because that would most likely mean he would win it. I'm still hanging on to HHH challenging Cena as my pick for the match, that'd be a good way to end Cena's run.

Royal Rumble match - HBK, who gets screwed by Vince, making Mysterio the champ

Edge vs. Cena - Edge. The title belt is just a ploy.

Angle vs. Henry - Angle retains.

Boogeyman vs JBL - Boogeyman by DQ

Mickie James vs. Ashley - Mickie James

Cruiserweight Invitational - Kash is gonna drop it. I say Noble takes it.
