I used to watch WWE a few years back. Then the whole thing with Turner network came up, and it just started getting ridiculous.

Yeah, they seemed to make a big effort with the commentary but it still has flaws. I suppose it is a very difficult thing to do.

I hate how they change mid sentence. A nice touch is the special commentary over some introductions in Season.

I'm hoping to finish the SD season today. I got 15 falls over Heidenreich in the Iron Man match, and I was like, oh cool, do I enter at -2? Haha. Neat fun. That's on normal though, I'd have gotten myself whipped in Hard or Legend.

I got owned in Hard mode and switched over to Normal.

Once my CAW has his stats up to full I might try playing on Hard mode...

I just watched all of TNA's turning point. I wasn't really a huge fan of the Barbed Wire Massacre, it was really slow.

Matt Hardy was supposed to be chokeslammed by Undertaker at the end of Survivor Series. Hardy bailed on the fly because he thought it would "hurt his momentum" (what momentum?) Taker chewed him out in public in front of the boys, called him a mark and that he should respect the veteran wrestlers more. Apparently the squash at the PPV was his punishment.

Right, so I was out last night and discussing wrestling with a newly aquired friend. We were just being general in our approach, but after a while we got onto the subject of technically gifted wrestlers...

Thing that annoyed me about out chat was that he said Hulk Hogan was a technically better wrestler than Scott Hall/Razor Ramon. Has anybody ever come across such situations? More on the point, who do you consider the best tech wrestler?

PS - I don't consider Scott Hall to be the most technical wrestler, although he is close on my list.

1. He's renouncing his American citizenship

- Remember when Sgt. Slaughter became a Middle East sympathizer back in the day? Remember also how WWE love to re-hash storylines? Remember how Angle, the gold medal Olympic American hero, is all of a sudden trashing our troops? Yeah, I think this is a possibility.

2. He's announcing his retirement date

- It won't be tomorrow, but it might be at Wrestlemania. Against who is another story. Maybe HBK will let Angle go over him in Angle vs. HBK III?

He has been in the developmental territories for a long time. He really has been redundant since the Nation Of Domination was done away with, and that was a long, long time ago. Before the APA, when The Rock still wrested as Rocky Maivia, etc. Back in the days of WWF Raw Is Raw for the N64. They shouldn't call him "the world's strongest man" either, anymore, because his claim to it is probably null and void by now, if it ever was valid.

How about Sting signing to a 1 year deal with TNA? Didn't expect that. I thought he had said he would never return to the business.

And did anyone see Paul Birchill's new move on Velocity? It was pretty nuts, a standing backflip from the Downward Spiral/Flatliner set-up, into a slam. Probably can't be done on anyone too heavy, but it looks quite impressive.

Usually when a PPV rolls around, we have a little fake-bet going. How it works is that we pick the matches of who will win. However, if there's a stipulation in the match, then I create a stipulation for the betting. For example, in the Elimination Chamber, if people pick the same winner, the tiebreaker will be order of elimination. If there's a tiebreaker after that, then I'm not sure what we'd do.

I'll post the card in a new post below. Copy/paste it, and make sure to fill out the entire thing.

2 DQ's in a row on a PPV :amaze: People shall revolt in the streets! But on a more personal note as a pretty big black metal fan...your avatar almost has me in tears. Great stuff.

I watched the begining of Raw today(viva TivO) Does anyone think that this Shawn Michaels Vs. McMahon fued is coming on at an odd time? Same goes for the whole Kane and Big Show thing. Why are they wrestling singles matches when they are tag team champions? I got to thinking that we are seeing a bunch of rushed angles and now they are kind of contradiction one another. Kane is going for the world title when he is already a tag team champion,Big Show is feuding with Triple H,completly seperate from Kane. Are they ever going to defend the Tag Title? This whole thing just makes the tag title seem that much more useless. The Smackdown tag ranks are alright I guess...good going on McMahon's part to let go the Dudley Boys,one of the few tag teams in all of wrestling that could actually bring prominence to the title. Maybe McMahon can go beg on Bret Hart's doorstep and they can prop up Jim Neidhart's corpse(even though he isn't dead,just away) and re-form the foundation. But anyway back to my original point that clearly the only way for Kane and Big Show to lose the titles is if they split up. But that's not going to be possible,nor is it going to happen for them to defend them on a regular basis,if they are both off in completly different angles without the other. It's too late to turn back now. The one thing that the tag title has left for it is that it didn't garner too much respect before this.

At least I can make since of the McMahon and Shawn feud though. McMahon will probably have some of effect in the elimination chamber match causing the feud to intensify. A possible scenario is that McMahon causes Michaels to lose to Chris Masters in the elimination chamber. Whether Masters wins the whole deal or not is irrelevent. He can come on the next Monday and brag about how he beat Michaels and that would start a pretty decent feud,with Masters having McMahon's backing. I see a lot of potential in that.


Umm...I guess I'll end my rant. With the other people of this thread's permission I'd like to do one of these a week. In column form and just kinda rant and rave. Except I can't really indent. *shrugs* I have a lot more to get on this one but I figure I'll get some feedback first...if you find it annoying then I won't do it. Simple enough. :)
