Yeh.

We get:

Classic Wrestling from the 1970's (what used to be shown on ITV on Saturday afternoon's)
ROH
TNA Impact and the PPV's
Classic TNA
Zero One Japan
FWA
CZW (sometimes)
New Japan
+ a few others

It can be pretty good, but there's a lack of ROH, FWA and CZW at the moment which is annoying, I don't really like the classic 1970's wrestling much.

yeah he did but they failed poorly i cant remember what they were called, i think EL Terminator in some mexican promotion was one of them.

oh and talking of The wrestling channel my promotion should be Debuting on jan 19th its HCW try and check it out its hardcore!

Bossman was Hardcore champion quite a fair few times. He had some great bouts with people. Also, he's one of the few people that have contested the hell in a cell match up.

He's one of my fave wrestlers.

I didn't know he died. That sucks.

Who remembers that match with the Undertaker when the Undertaker hung him? That was classic.

Hey im fed up with this bossman stuff, who remembers Ken Shamrock he was great. He was in wwf for a while and then turned up on TNA and was the NWA champ for a while, he lost the belt and dissapeared does anyone know where he went?

We don't need this kind of talk here. It's bad enough that wrestling fans are stereotyped with a negative connotation, so please, try not to make it worse. It's no wonder gaslight and Brum (among other regs) don't visit as often as they did. Yeah, the kid was a prick, but if someone says, "Wrestling is gay" (or something along those lines), then take it to Site - Burt has a rule for this thread that things like that receive a three-day vacation.

I downloaded the RAW tribute to Eddie today, which is the first WWE show I have seen in about a year. It's weird seeing it again, and reading up about what happened, but I just wanted to see it.

I used to watch WCW Nitro and Thunder a while back, and I saw a few PPVs as well. I remember one with a triple cage, like a Hell in a Cell with 2 more cages on it I think.

Oh wow, i totally forgot about that one. I kept thinking of the Shane vs Kurt Angle match, but that was 2001, i shoulda remembered that. Mankind had some amazing matches, I seem to remember him being tag partners with Kane at one point?

Cactus Jack was always fun to watch too, was it the new age outlaws that he and terry funk had a dumpster match with? When was that?

First and foremost, his health is terrible, he could take one bad bump and he'd be paralyzed for life.

Secondly, his wife left him, and took their daughter.

Third, he's on the road for over 240 days a year.

Eugene is not hurt per-say. He was sent to the hospital and suspended because he was found in the back out of his mind on cocaine. I know a guy who works for an Italian TV station who personally knows many WWE guys (he has Taker's cell number and address) and it was comfirmed to him by WWE management.

If you are referring to Hell in A Cell, I was just thinking of that match for some reason. I still find it amazing that someone would be willing to fall from so high, and then through a cell all the way to the mat. I just look at that and go "What an insane mind he has" I mean seriously, watching that in itself is painful to think about.

Him going through the cell roof was an accident, they only planned for him to be chokeslammed ontop of it, not through it!

He's quite lucky not to have been seriously injured from it, back in those days the WWE rings were alot harder than what they are these days.

I wouldn't say losing teeth is a serious injury, or having a gaping hole in your lip, but holy crap. To go through that just to put on an entertaining show/match is amazing.

Miss the days of when wrestling had Mick Foley on a weekly basis...:(

Apparently in both Mick Foleys and Steve Austins contracts, they have to compete in a minimum of 2 matches per year.

Rumour has it that Austin will be taking on Hogan at Wrestlemania 22.

Haha, yeah. You could see his tooth stuck in his synal cavity. After all that mayhem and destruction that went on in that match, the video I rented only got a PG rating. Gotta love Australian classifications.

Here's a quick clip about the new drug policy that WWE is implementing.

My thoughts:

1. It's a shame that Eddie's death woke Vince up to implement such a policy,
2. How effective is this going to be/How long will this last?
3. As much as Vince says it's "for everybody," I have a feeling that if Cena or Batista is found with enhancers, that the worst that will happen is that they drop the title. If it's someone like, say, Scotty 2 Hotty, well, they'll just get fired.

I own the game and i would serously recomend it, its a brilliant update of the smackdown series and will have you playing for about 2 years to complete it....well thats how long its going to take me as the challenges are solid (hard) but its still so enjoyable i give it a 9/10.

By the way my company is going to be doing its first taping sometime in january if there's anyone from scotland intreasted in being in the audience then give me a shout and i'll keep you posted :)

yeah its brill the season mode can sometimes be repetitive but it makes up for it as the quality of the storys are good, i dont have much praise for the CAW system not a great deal of updates just more stuff.

By the way i have some news on the Nwa:Tna game, at the moment they are in neggotiations with acclaim, but turned down an offer from team yurimeshi a new organisation because quote "Styles was not happy with negotiations with TY his main problem was they were proposing a WWE engine and Styles was just not willing to work with it so we had to cut off the talks with TY", well i think thats a cry baby attitude and AJ needs to get a grip what do you guys think?

This was my prediction:

Batista will be out of competition for Sunday, so it will be five-on-four. It's going to come down to two RAW guys (Kane and HBK, let's say) vs. Orton. Orton will eliminate HBK by cheating. Kane will then start clobbering Orton.

The lights will go off, you'll hear a gong, and when the lights come on, Taker will be in the corner. Orton will be spooked and make the tag. Taker beats Kane (since they have history together), and then proceeds to beat Orton.

But, this will not happen, so yeah.

Are you guys ordering Survivor Series on PPV?

I just got off uni for the holidays so I think I will be, if my Foxtel doesn't play up like it has been the last few times.

Any of you guys see on RAW, Lashley set Big Show up for the Dominator but Kane booted him off? I think at Survivor Series he will try it again. It seems like a pretty impossible effort to lift the Big Show like that, but I wouldn't have thought he could be lifted for the Jackhammer either until I saw it done.

well,caddyshack isn't exactly my favorite movie but it is up there on the list. i'm a huge movie buff, so for me to pick a favorite would be a huge deal. some of my favorites are a beautiful life, blade, schindlers list, to kill a mocking bird (bet most of you haven't seen that) sleepless in seatle(surprise!surprise! princess) any guy who tells you he doesn't like that movie is full of it, big,platoon, goodfellas, let me stop now. i could go on for hours. if you held a gun to my head and told me to pick a favorite, i would have to say it would be braveheart. definately braveheart. ofcourse wopner in ten minutes. until next time, bet one for bad two for good. did anyone get the rainman humor? that's also one of my favorites. see ya.

I was at the video shop today and I noticed a video called Beyond The Mat. Apparently it's an insight into behind the scenes of wrestling and something Vince McMahon tried to ban.

Anybody seen it/recommend it? I'm tempted to rent it out.

I have it somewhere, but have only seen it once.

Its not too bad, gives some pretty interesting info into how wrestling works behind the scenes, but nothing too amazing.

SD vs RAW 2006 is a great game, I've played upto Taboo Tuesday so far in season mode with Chris Benoit.

The only thing I can't work out how to do is have music playing during matches, unless there isn't meant to be any?

You haven't lived till you've T-Boned someone through a pool table. Good times in Season mode, I haven't made a CAW yet but I had a look around and it looks good. Nice to see they have all the parts and moves for Matt Hardy.

My CAW is doing kinda crappy in season mode at the moment, I need to bump up his stats.

I've currently got The Undertaker on my side though :cool:

I would have gone to Survivor Series, but I have uni on the other side of the state, and there's no way in Hell with finals looming that I'd make the drive, heh.

For what it's worth, here are my predictions.

Booker wins Match 1, but Benoit takes it in seven.

Trish defeats Melina. Why bring the title over to Smackdown? The only women wrestlers there are Christy (who didn't look as bad in her match vs. Melina as she did when she first started, I don't think), Jillian, and Stacy, who appears to have fallen off the face of the Earth. All the other divas are on RAW.

Bischoff defeats Teddy Long. Borefest, methinks.

Trips over Ric Flair for the IC title. The big question for me personally is, who will Trips drop the title to?

I was going to say Angle over Cena, but then I was a dumbass and read the New Year's Revolution spoilers. Dammit.

Team SD! over Team RAW. Undertaker appearance inevitable. Also, I liked how they teased Lashley giving Show the Dominator a couple weeks back. I say he does it. Why? Because... uh, well, I have no reason. But I think it'd be a cool sight.

I have the following opinions to relate regarding SVR2006:

* Victoria should be in the game.
* The photo it takes for the roster pic of the CAW's is absolutely terrible, a vast lowering in quality from what it did last year. It is a blurry mess and I hope someone loses their job over it. Well, not really, but wow, it's a big let down.
* I'm worried that the F5 is not in the moves, and it also seems that Matt Morgan's finisher that I liked isn't in the moves. Not fun :mad:.

Hey guys i am really annoyed, Gamecenter has posted an official cheat that unlocks jake the snake and autimaticly creates Matt Hardy. My mates game accepts the code but mine dusnt what bummer.

Also i have heard multiple times that wwe has another game in the works
and are due to release it on ps2 April 06 i dont know if its true but if anyone has info fill me in please :)

I've heard rumours of a Legends game, but that wouldn't be any good. They certainly do release new WWE games quickly, I'd be very pleased if there was at least one more WWE title for the PS2, because I don't want to have buy any of the next-gen consoles anytime soon.

I've made a Matt Hardy CAW but I haven't unlocked the right moves for him yet.

The Foley/Funk feud was in some Japanese Fed, (not sure which one.)

The Randy Orton push will be going into maximum overdrive as he is set to win the 2006 Royal Rumble in Miami, Florida. Orton will then go on to Wrestlemania to take on Batista for the World Heavyweight Title. He is expected to defeat Batista and take home the gold. WWE is very adament about making up for Orton's first title reign in 2004, which they consider to be disappointing. WWE feels that Orton will be one of the top stars of the future. Batista is 40 years and WWE feels his days on top are limited.

Also, it doesn't look like Cena is losing his WWE title anytime soon as he is expected to retain it past Wrestlemania and beyond. He is scheduled to take on Triple H and defeat him.

But that doesn't have anything to do with being old.

He has a torn back latera muscle, a serious injury that requires surgery that would require him to be out of the business for atleast 3 months. Batista has opted to go through intensive rehab measures for now so that he can continue with the WWE, but the rehab won't heal the injury... I think he should just go into surgery and not risk further injury.

Yeah, they seemed to make a big effort with the commentary but it still has flaws. I suppose it is a very difficult thing to do.

I hate how they change mid sentence. A nice touch is the special commentary over some introductions in Season.

I'm hoping to finish the SD season today. I got 15 falls over Heidenreich in the Iron Man match, and I was like, oh cool, do I enter at -2? Haha. Neat fun. That's on normal though, I'd have gotten myself whipped in Hard or Legend.
