WWE.com did not give much information on the Eddie Guerrero passing in their report this morning.

We do know that Eddie was in Minneapolis, MN waiting for the RAW and SmackDown! tapings which are being held tonight. Eddie was just 38 years old. According to sources, Eddie had breakfast this morning with Chavo Guerrero and at least one other wrestler. Chavo and Eddie had traveled together for months when both were on SmackDown!. Eddie then returned to his hotel room and when he didn't come back out when he was scheduled, some friends went looking for him and found him dead. We have no other details and do not want to speculate.

Local Minneapolis station WCCO posted the following on their website: (WCCO) Minneapolis World Wrestling Entertainment wrestler Eddie Guerrero was found dead in his hotel room in Minneapolis, the organization said Sunday. Guerrero, 38, was found at the Marriott City Center in downtown Minneapolis. He was in town for Sunday night's "WWE Supershow" TV taping at Target Center. Police confirmed Guerrero's death, but are not yet releasing additional information. The Hennepin County Medical Examiner was at the hotel. Guerrero was a featured star on the UPN series "WWE Smackdown!" and the subject of a full-length DVD titled "Cheating Death, Stealing Life." Eddie Guerrero was found this morning with his toothbrush in his mouth on the bathroom floor. He apparently died while brushing his teeth. The belief among those within WWE is that he had a heart failure. PWTorch.com reports that shortly after Guerrero's body was removed from the room, Chris Benoit, Rey Mysterio, Dean Malenko and Chavo Guerrero all visited the hotel room to say their final goodbyes. Many WWE staffers were visibly shaken by this as they left the hotel and headed for the arena.

WWE.com noted the following: Vince McMahon and Chavo Guerrero held a press conference regarding the untimely death of Eddie Guerrero today at 12:45 CT. I have only seen the very beginning of the show, and it was quite emotional. It's hard to realise that you won't see such a great person on your television again entertaining you. Going back and watching his matches will be more meaningful and special which I will probably do eventually, but not anytime soon, but the time will come eventually.

The beginning was hard to watch, seeing all the wrestlers with tears streaming down their face. It was just as sad as when Owen passed, or even more than that. I have nothing more to add now, until I watch the show later tonight. I still can't believe it.

He died of heart failure two days ago, Sunday. Raw yesterday was a tribute episode, and so will this weeks SD!. Raw was very well done, so I would suggest that you try and watch SD! as well...

when i read this i cryed (wtf???). i dint think it would have such a effect on me, i suppose just thinking about it he gave me so many fond memories from ecw/wcw/wwe.

(recently being like a year) and Eddie was one of my favorites (minus the whole ' I am your papi' phase) and i can truly say that he is irreplacable. no one can make the crowd laugh like he did. and just seeing big show bawling like that can make anyoine cry. I feel sorry for the little kids who idol him...

“It was heart failure. It was from his past – the drinking and the drug abuse. They found signs of heart disease. She (the examiner) said that the blood vessels were very worn and narrow, and that just showed all the abuse from the scheduling of work and his past. And Eddie just worked out like crazy all the time. It made his heart grow bigger and work harder and the vessels were getting smaller, and that’s what caused the heart failure. He went into a deep sleep.

Heart Failure brought on from his past, a real shame.

It's a real shame, too, since he was clean for just over four years. The E's travel schedule requires them to be on the road for 300+ days a year, and combined with prior abuses and constantly training... yeah, it's just unfortunate.
