I dunno, I think Holly is very under-used in the company. He would be great in a major storyline and has the experience and presence to compete well.
And yeah she has some flexibility right there. Take that, Stacy.
I like Holly. He always gets a huge pop when he comes out. I also like his finisher (his reversal into it last night on Velocity was ).
I understand that he works with the newer wrestlers and explains the company and the politics behind it, but he deserves a push for a title for something.
I also want to know when this lottery is taking place, dammit

There have been reports that it may not be a lottery, they may just trade stars.
I hope Hogan comes back on Raw, im staying up till 4.15am so he better had come on, or I wont be a happy bunny
Oh, he has GOT to make an appearance, considering there have been reports that he's going to be at MSG.
If they trade stars, then that's cool too.
I remember last year's lottery... it was my first (and only :-\) WWE show. Good times.
Some guy jumped over the guardrail and starting climbing on the apron during the HHH/Eddie match, but four huge black guys from security pulled him down after HHH kicked the guy in the head. The four huge black guys absolutely took it to the guy, and then was led down the aisle with handcuffs. It made me go .
ChodaBoy

Haha, someone did that here, and as he jumped they caught him in mid air. They tried to avoid showing it but the place that he did it had all of the camera's pointing towards it so they were caught out
Anyone remember Mean Street Posse?
I was pissed because I had my brother tape the show, but he didn't run it past the hour, he cut it off right at 11 (instead of 11:20 or so when the show actually ends), so when I got home I didn't get to see if that guy made it on TV or not.

Yea, 24/7 was a fantastic part. But sadly there isnt a hardcore title anymore. Ages ago, the only place to see decent hardcore matches are Indy wreslting federations. TNA do it too, but they are scripted too much
I remember reading something about how when Mankind retired he retired with the belt, or about one of the Hollys not wanting to bring it back to disgrace it or something.
I dunno, the IC championship, in my eyes, is comparable to the US Championship. It's basically the midcarder's championship belt :-\
gaslight
04-18-2005, 05:22 PM
Nah there's not, I think the removal of the Hardcore Division was a combination of safety, not having as many superstars who worked well in the matches, and considerations of television content that led the WWE to tone down it's on air violence.
They phased out the blood and violence to make room for more skinny ho's with implants.

I hope Jericho doesn't get in trouble, he said in an interview that firing Matt Hardy "wasn't right".
Hopefully the WWE aren't that nazi over remarks their wrestlers make or Jericho might be next to go lol.
That could be as well, during the London/Kidman match two weeks ago on standard television, I was just waiting for the screen to go black-and-white because of all the blood. Any time there's a replay of blood on SD! (ex: Jesus/Cena PPV match), it almost always gets decolored.
So, do you guys think some trading/lottery-ing will go down on tonight?
I have to agree with Jericho, though.
ChodaBoy
04-18-2005, 05:31 PM
Yea, i think some changes need to be made. Strangely, it used to be SD that needed the changes, but the past few weeks it has turned around. SD has had some good stories and good matches, whereas Raw is getting very repetitive. HHH comes out and whines, Batista comes out and beats him up, with a few extra matches thrown in.

I've heard that Smackdown for this week has already been filmed, which hints that no there won't be. But that's just wrestlezone talking.
I know, people always bitch about how SD! suffers, but really, they have some intricate storylines, a revitalized cruiserweight division (that will be bolstered with new incomers such as Psychosis and Juventud), and some decent feuds.
I really hope for a Hurricane move to SD!. To me, his gimmick never gets old, and I like how he gives a mask to a kid in the front row.

RAW was like a re run. Seriously first HOgan comes out and does the exact same thing he does at wreslemania (cool but repetitive) and then Batista powers out of the Pedigree.
Also the guy who competed in the masterlock challenge was obviously an actor. They really didnt fool anyone. WHo wears a huge *** white shirt (so hes easily recognizable) and is also so quick on the mic infront of several thousand people
RoCKinG STANTON

^^^^Yeah but it was funny how it looked like when the masterlock almost killed the guy. Yeah hogan chants for so long but everyone loves it. At wrestlemania he chanted for like 5 minutes. But everyone cheeed. Triple H will never land the pedigree on batista. Triple H! i am sick of this guy. what happened to the old triple h. the guy with the sludge hammer who kicked ***. not the guy that thinks he's better than eeryone else and relys on cheating to win. thats just my opinion.

04-19-2005, 04:37 PM
Of course he was an actor lol, they can't just take a random guy out of the crowd, there'd be all kinds of liability involved.
The Masterlock Challenge is just the Raw version of Kurt Angle's Gold Medal Challenge that they had on Smackdown.
It's funny the big deal they make about the Pedigree on TV, when I saw them live in Sydney, Triple H hit the Pedigree on Batista but it didn't put him down for 3.
ChodaBoy
04-19-2005, 04:39 PM
The old HHH was better, when he had the 'My Time' music (the one with the siren kind of sound at the beggining). I think Batista vs. HHH will be one of those where HHH gets the pedigree twice but B kicks out, B does the powerbomb a few times and H kicks out, if you get what I mean

As for Hogan, I feel sad about how old and worn down he is. How do you think that match is going to turn out? I think Hogan has to hit the leg drop, but I don't think he's going to be pinned or be the pinner... HBK is the one who has to be involved somehow.

Your grandma is a badass, hahahaha.
I honestly do not think that this is Hogan's last match, though. He is bound to go out at the Chicago WM, and then finally be done with the company.
I do not think that Hassan will be pinned/submit on RAW, but that his team will lose.
The only other stipulation I can think of is that Daviari gets pinned, and Hassan goes on some shtick about how he wasn't the one that got pinned/submitted, so why does he face prejudice, blah blah blah.

Shawn Michaels could play a great heel (as he has done many years ago), and Angle could play a good face. I think if either of these, or both, are drafted it would be a good thing for WWE. Although its more than likely they would keep Kurt as a heel, to feud with Batista.. But Michaels over on Smackdown, becoming a heel again. That would be gold..
It would also change up the whole system, that we are all so **** used to. Not that the shows are bad or anything, I just believe any change will be a needed breath of fresh air. Hopefully, some of the mid-carders will be drafted and elevated during the next year.. Personally, I wanna see JBL drafted over to RAW. I also want to see HHH on Smackdown, feuding with John Cena. They could make that work really well, sure the actual wrestling wouldn't be the greatest, but the mic work would equal good ratings for Smackdown.
Thing is, I think everyone is sick of Trips being on the mic all the time...
adrian
04-20-2005, 10:10 PM
Thats true.. But everyones been sick of it for a couple of years now, and that hasn't changed anything. The fact is, as long as HHH is around.. He's gonna be at the top. Hes basically a McMahon these days, and Vince will always keep him happy. (Just as long as he keeps Stephanie happy.. No, not in that way :naughty: ) At least if HHH is over on Smackdown, he will have some decent mic skills competition in the form of John Cena, Kurt Angle, Guerrero, JBL etc.
Over on RAW, theres only really HBK or Jericho that could compete with HHH at the moment. Give Hassan a year or so, and he will be up there. But at the moment, I believe HHH will find his competition over at Smackdown..

I heard that WWE management has more confidence in Cena than Batista and are considering having Batista and Cena swap shows.
That would completely suck.
The thing about the draft is that there are very people at the moment who could be put into a believable angle with Batista, who is being pushed as unstoppable for the moment.
Kurt Angle on Raw could play a great face role against Chris Masters and really put him in his place, but I'd rather see Masters fired.
Hassan needs a new gimmick, it's already gotten terribly old.

Why they continue to push him is beyond me. There are so many more deserving guys on the roster than Edge.. Remember when he came back from injury and tried to be a babyface, but got booed because everyone was sick of him.. Did that not tell Vince that he is just not quality? Instead of trying to make him a believable "bad guy" they should just drop him down to low midcard, where he deserves to be..
'Nuff said..

Its probably just a 'pay back' type thing. Like they did with Benoit, there wasnt much need for him to win the title, they probably did it because of all his years in pro wrestling
adrian
04-21-2005, 08:03 AM
Yeah, I understand the Benoit thing. But I think theres a big difference between his career and Edges career. I just dont think hes ready for any kind of push like this.. I wanna see Jericho get the push, or perhaps Christian. Captain Charisma gets a much louder reaction than Edge on any given night, unless of course they are chanting for Matt Hardy.. and even then its probably not as loud as Christians!
Where are all his MX peeps??

I do like Christian, I find him quite funny at times. He and Simon in a conversation would be very interesting

Kurt Angle on Raw could play a great face role against Chris Masters and really put him in his place, but I'd rather see Masters fired.
Hassan needs a new gimmick, it's already gotten terribly old.
/agrees with this post entirely
I hate Edge just because he resorts to continuing matches poorly after they've ended. The attacks on HBK in the back, Benoit with the chair, all his goofy facial expressions like he's going to **** his pants, carrying that damn briefcase everywhere he goes, etc... he's just horrible. I liked him more as a face on SD! for the very simple reason that he got cheered when he made his thematic entrance. Now, he's just a douche.

I like Edge, he has tremendous potential and works very hard. Pity about getting Matt Hardy fired and basically screwing up the guys whole life, that's really low stuff.
All other things aside, they've stuck Edge with a bad gimmick for the time being, though it definately will go somewhere. He just needs some better moves before he can be a convincing world title contender, in the next few years people like Edge and Shelton Benjamin will be the bigger stars in the company.

Yea, I never understood that either. The Raw table movement is probably to do with Bischoffs control, its the same position as WCW. But I never knew why the table was there in the first place, it would mean the announcers see more

Shawn Michaels over Muhammed Hassan (w/ Daivari)
This match ended very quickly after the fire alarm went off! As it sounded, a security guard told Daivari they might have to evacuate, who passed on the message to Earl Hebner, Hassan and Michaels, who had a laugh about it.
I believe Daivari shouted something about it being a bomb scare.

I take the stance that the audience was pissed that the match was so short, not because they don't like Cena... and rightly so that there were boos. On the biggest PPV, a less-than ten minute match for SD!'s most lucrative title is not appropriate.
Every time he comes out, it's to a huge pop.

I agree with everything there. The match was very dissapointing as the main event for Smackdown's brand. It was too short, and didn't have any high spots, lack of false finishes.. just overall, not good.
But every week, Cena continues to get the loudest reactions of the night. He always gets cheered, the fans seem to really get into his character. I very much doubt he will be turning heel in the near future.. Sure, he's got the potential for a heel turn somewhere down the track, but not anytime soon.
My thoughts, anyway..

The North Carolina High School Athletic Association has fined South Mecklenburg and Providence $1000 each for a fight involving wrestlers from the two schools at a February event.
Reportedly, S. Mecklenburg's Colby Hardin defeated Providence's Reid Fliehr, son of Ric Flair. After winning, Hardin mocked the professional wrestler by celebrating with Flair's signature strut, causing Fliehr to charge at the winner. The fight did not escalate to a significant extent as wrestlers from both sides rushed to break it up.

The Heavyweight matches probably aren't exciting because they aren't as fast paced as Ic and US title matches. Wrestling is like sex. First you do foreplay to get the juices flowing then you penetrate.

Must be that time of the week again.
So...I'm thinking about getting a month's subscription to the WWE.com Jukebox thingy.
Its only about $4, which is about £2 for me...providing it works for us Brits?

i restarted watching wrestling about 2 weeks before wrestlemania (sometimes i was able to watch both RAW and Smackdown) but now I think im going to stop again. ITs just missing something and i have alot of stuff goin on anyway right now
The one thing that its missing these days is:
Decent storyline writers.
ChodaBoy
04-30-2005, 09:59 AM
They've just brought in a 'Hollywood' writer, so hopefully he can make it more spectacular. Although he might not have too much wrestling knowledge

^^^yeah a new writer might bring something better to the table. buts lets hope he does have wrestling knowledge.

He has Zero knowledge of the wrestling world.
Also, I can't use the WWE Jukebox with my Solo card.

Kif edited it the other day so that it has the Union Jack behind him, I guess that affected it.
And MattFromCanada, I would have thought you had been here long enough to know not to come in and moan

The new writer will probably suck, he worked on crap like 90210.
They need people like Paul Heyman on the creative team, people who actually know what they are talking about.

The guy who came from the crowd to join in with the post-match celebrations with Hulk Hogan was infact New England Indy referee Holyoke Joe.
Joe spent $5,000 on the tatoo which enabled him to win a contest and meet the Hulkster down in Tampa.
This him?

Hehe.
The ending of Batista v HHH seemed a bit sloppy. Didn't feel resolved like a main event usually does.
ChodaBoy
05-02-2005, 08:29 AM
***POSSIBLE SPOILER***
Its not been confirmed yet, it most likely will be on Raw. But a Hell in a cell is supposed to be on at the next Raw PPV, which should settle it, as this is how HHH usually ends a fued. The poster for it has been leaked which shows HHH and Batista surrounded by the cage, but knowing WWE, they could change it to spite us internet folk
Also did you notice that Batista was booed during his entrance? People dont really see him as a main eventer anymore, they were happy when he beat up HHH but that was because they are sick of him winning
gaslight
05-02-2005, 08:31 AM
Yeah, I've read about that as well.
They really need to get Triple H out of the main event spotlight soon, he's getting tiresome. No judgement on his mic skills or in ring ability, it's just that he's been in the spotlight for so long, they need a main event storyline that is ??? and ??? rather than ??? and HHH.

100% true.
Give him a year break, I say.
When he tore those ligaments in his knee against Jericho, that left him out for a long time. And when he made his return, it was quite a shock and he made quite an impact if I remember right. I think that was the time when he had "My time" as his entrance theme - great song.
