Because he wrote basslines that fit the song. His work with harmonics and chords is also very amazing.

I wasn't impressed until the very end when he showed some speed. Prior to that it was all "basic complexity" -- so many of the users on here could pull it off. The tapping he was doing kept his left hand in the same position. But yeah, the end got me...

Still, he pulls it off brilliantly on stage, the man has serious chops.

There's an example of a bassist that doesn't just stand motionless in one place during a performance.

I think that brian bloomberg need to re-evaluate his clothing lol, his bassing is hot but that yellow t-shirt...certainly is not..

Not only that: Most of them has a bad taste in clothing in general. Wootens t-shirt, Stu Hamm with Satriani(ugly shirt and strawberry bass), Marcus Miller....puh! ...and why do so many hire a silly synth-players who can only create bad 80`s sounds? :amaze:

How does Mr. Sheehan do those weird-arse harmonics, the one where he does that weird hand movement afterwards?? Does he just bend it?

i defintely agree with ur sounds like noise comment. it's nice for a minute, but u gotta break it up a bit, play with some feeling, i like to slap a bit, but i'd much rather listen to and come up with a pretty melodic bassline. that's what i dig.
