what the hell are you talking about. Evergrey put on an awful show, Bodom IMO stole the show, and Iced Earth's set was phenominal. get off whatever high horse your on about Barlow leaving and deal with it.
by the way, Jack Owen has officially quit Cannible Corpse. No real reason given, but i think it has to do with his other band hes been playing with. check out their official site for details. If I forget you can just post it if you want. I dropped by the post office after work today and got it going but it was late when I was there so it probably won't actually leave the city until tomorrow. It's been a while since I shipped anything to England, but I think it took about a little over a week so I'd look for it probably late next week.

Yup, Soulseek is totally safe as far as I can tell. Everyone's usernames are many pages back, but you could use the Search function to find them pretty easily. My name is Kanadarius, but I don't have a lot of stuff there, as my hard drive is kinda small and practically full, so I've only got about one gig shared on Soulseek (not counting whatever there is in our old Kazaa folder, which I shared as well, but is mostly very unfriendly to Soulseek's search system..)

Trying to provoke nothing. I am ordering some CDs from Regimental, and was wondering if anyone else has heard of the above bands, only 3 of which are NSBM.
Sorry - I assumed you'd know all those bands. In that case, steer clear of Judas Iscariot but both Gospel of Horns and Forest are well respected round my neck of the woods.
And I look forward to recieving you minidisc sometime soon Jon. Hopefully the Canadian border won't detain it for too long.

But regarding my band(s), my main band is going to play at Battle of teh Bands hosted by my high school. I'm trying to get my friend from NYC to play with me as well, and I'm going to start working with my other friend and his friends on some stuff for BotB as well. My main band is probably going to play Aces High (Iron Maiden), Rust in Peace (Megadeth) covers and a song we're currently writing. My friend in NYC and I are still deciding what to play. The Chasm are brilliant. They're what I believe true melodic death metal is (nothing like In Flames/At the Gates). I really don't know how to describe em... so just check em out. I'm Oort on soulseek, send me a pm or something and you can grab some from me, and while you're at it, check out Serpens Aeon too, a band with 2 former members of The Chasm in it. I've only heard a bit of Demilich and it didn't really appeal to me that much, but maybe I didn't give it enough of a chance. I've never listened to Demigod, so I can't really comment on them.

Demigod are amazing. Slumber of the sullen eyes is an all time classic.
That Necrophagist/Dying Fetus tour looks unbelievable!
Well it sucks that I wouldn't be able to listen to it right away, but when it does come out will you guys have it for sale on your website? Or would it be at shows only? I do plan on getting a turntable eventually. If I start buying vinyl again maybe I'll get around to getting a new turntable sooner.

I got 'only tools and corpses' by Gorerotted a while ago and thought it was absolute class. A lot of people don't seem to like the cockney accent growl, but i think it suits the gore scene quite well. Opinions?

Picked up Unleashed's "Shadows In The Deep" and "Across The Open Sea" yesterday, been blasting it ever since. Really heavy stuff, I love it. I think I have Jon to thank for this one (from a post long ago ranting about swedish DM). Nice one :thumb:
Edit: Just got the Angeldeath stuff in the mail, and just finished blasting the cd out. Still not overly keen on the Raining Blood cover, but the rest of it is great. Some of the guitarwork on it is actually pretty mindblowing. Favourite songs on first listen are Spires of Inferno and Mourning of Sorrow. Brilliant stuff. Oh and the shirt rules aswell. :thumb:

You can download what I guess is Demilich's only entire full-length at http://demilich.doesntexist.com/
I don't know the whole story, but I guess somebody ripped them off and so they're giving out their music for free.
I haven't listened to it yet, I've got it cooking and am giving The Chasm my first listen - oh man, these guys are fantastic.
Edit: Oh geeze, the Demilich server is either crap or bogged to hell... ah well, it beats sitting in queues on soulseek. :P

some news: Illinios festival is cancelled, Incantation isnt heading the fest in August. we are however booked for a local figure's own festival: Tiny's "Sick **** Fest 2" Tiny sings for WASTEFORM, a great great NYDM band from albany signed to XTreme Records of Spain. anyway, GORATORY and BURIAL are on the bill with us, and there are still other headliners who havent been announced!!! so yay!!!!

as for the site, were redoing it, but nobody involved with the band has had really anytime to work on that. Im in the midst of graduating high school and taking care of getting into college and trying to find a job. Ryan is doing the same thing with graduating and college and whatnot, and then Matt and Charlie are both finally out of college for the summer, so they had all their finals and whatnot. the same goes for Tony, our webmaster.

Okay, I've been listening to Scream Bloody Gore a lot recently, and I've got my hands on £10 more, and now have the choice of buying Human, Individual Thought Patterns, Leprosy or Spiritual Healing, all for the same price. Any reason I should choose any one over the others?

Individual Thought Patterns
Vortigon
05-16-2004, 08:04 AM
You could choose Spiritual Healing for the sole reason it has James Murphy playing guitar on it, or Leprosy because it has a leper on the front. To be honest, I think they're all as good as each other, so just pick the one you like the sound of most, if you love Scream Bloody Gore, then maybe Leprosy would suit better, as it has less emphasis on technicality, and stuff. Incidentally, I got a Scream Bloody Gore shirt a week or so ago, its pretty cool.

I'd get Leprosy - it's my favourite Death album. It's best with Death to work chronologically either from most recent or earliest. It makes more sense that way.

Because Necrophagist's album is completely sold out... and even when it wasn't, it was only available through the band. Now it's getting re-released on Willowtip, but they're just a small label, so it still won't be in stores.
