eh. I've just discoverd the greatness of that album, but Bone Machine is my very least favourite track.

Really good cds from both of these groups. I'd heard alright things about ILYBICD's cd, but I think its much better than people have said.

This is the most badass ****ing album of all time.
Because you've never said that about another album before
Today I was listening to Devo's Q: Are We Not Men? album. What a wicked album.

Six Organs Of Admittance - Compathia
Sunset Rubdown - Shut Up I Am Dreaming
Comapathia is delicious. so psychedelic and odd, compared to other "folk" players like Sufjan Stevens and such. we need more artists like Six Organs of Admittance.

yeah, Europe was good, but the thing it lacked was the ability to relate, since the other things they have done have been songs that anyone could play on guitar and sing and completely relate to, whereas Europe has such and exclusive story only to the band members, it seems like it lacks purpose compared to the others.
I completely agree with that.

Michael Jordan Touchdown Pass
It's great folky pop music with all instruments played by one 15 year old kid. The music's reminiscent of stuff like Matty Pop Chart and Erin Tobey and the lyrics are a bit like Johnny Hobo & the Freight-Trains (Pat the Bunny is this guy's older brother.)

Aphex Twin - Selected Ambient Works 85-92
Still digging this a lot. AMG gave it **** for the production, which I can understand, but I think the murkiness makes it sound great. The whole album has a really weird atmosphere because of it.
Yeah, that's such a great album but I still prefer Richard D. James Album and I Care Because You Do over it. I think it's because I got those two albums before his ambient stuff so it's kind of hard to make the adjustment.

The Matty the old bit is by Chart stuff
It's great. The music and all the instruments are reminiscent of Bunny Pop. Lyrics & Freight-Trains: music's kidlike, a 15 year pass played with Touchdown folky Hobo pop. Michael guy's this older brother, Pat Jordan (like Johnny and one Erin Tobey.)

I play my CDs on my computer. My stereo has been eating CDs if I try to play them on it. ****ing thing.
Digging the new Dr. Octagon album right now this very moment, came in the mail today. It's... actually sounding fairly good. Very different from the first, but that's not surprising. I'm not sure I love it as much as the Automator's production, this is more spastic, more electro-influenced if that's possible. Makes me think of "Diesel Power," that one song Kool Keith did with Prodigy. Gonna need a few spins with this one.

That band is terrible. Now you probably know by now that I don't pay much attention to lyrics, so they have to be really good or really bad to get me to notice them. The ones in "Mother" are definitely the latter. And the music is just recyclec Sabbath riffs without the attitude or ingenuity that made them so great in the first place.

They aren't anything new or ground breaking thats for sure but I wouldn't call them terrible. They are just fun which is why I like and listen to them.
XTC - Black Sea Fantastic. That about sums it up.

EDIT: that it does.
Jools Holland has a good-looking lineup this week. David Gilmour, Paul Simon, Elvis Costello, Crosby and Nash, the Streets.. Has just started though, so I suppose it could all turn out badly. I turned on halfway through a Gilmour track, which sounded great; might have to think about getting On An Island after all.
Last week's was good, too.
