Haste the Day is a band that was underground, and played at local shows in Carmel, Indiana. They then made an E.P. which consists of 7 songs, these songs are brilliant and well played. From this E.P., they toured the country...

After touring they were signed by Solid State records to produce a 12 song c.d. called Burning Bridges

Key songs

Song 1 - Blue 42 - This song is a great opener, beginning with a guitar riff that gets you pumped up, the screaming is a little scratchy but it soon picks up. You then proceed to a somewhat lighter part of the song, here the drummer shows off some talent by doing amazing rolls on the drums. A little farther into the song, it gets faster, then singing comes in. You will have to listen to the end because it is great song

Song 2 - Closest thing to Closure - This song is more emo-y, that there others. This song is fairly good, and the singer in here has a decent voice. At the end of the song, the guitarist does a little solo, then they pull out the ending with a slow "head bobbing" riff.

song 3 -American Love- This is there best song on the c.d. in my opinion. In this song you never know what there going to be doing next. After 2 minutes and 20 seconds of pure kick ***. They then slow it down, and sing which is pretty good, if you don't like it you will eventually get use to it. After the soft part is over, they again pull out into kick *** guitar riffs, amazing song..

song 11 - (cant remeber name of it) - This song is there softest song, begining with a little guitar solo, then there other guitarist whips out his awesome vocal skills and sings his heart out. It isnt really long, but a key song to let people know they have talent singing and screaming.

I give them a 5 out of 5

Thats in my opinion, they define the kind of music I like, I also like From Autumn to Ashes, but HTD is better

Just my opinion if you like this type of music

That's all well and good but it's been a long-standing rule to be subjective with final grades. Kithkin set the scale pretty well. 5/5 is a must-own for anyone. 4/5 is a genre-defining album. 3/5 is a decent/worthwhile look if you're into the genre. 2/5 is for diehards only. 1/5 isn't even worth a second thought.

The 5-point sytem is too limited anyway, the 10-point system pwns it.

its quite simple actually; you gave it a 5. That means that it would be so mindblowing, that i would be convinced to like the band.

What time? I'm going at about 3:30, hoping I get good seats or whatever.

Here's how you're gonna recognize me: I'll be wearing a white shirt that says "Chicks hate me". Allright? I know I'll be the only one wearing that shirt cause it's special made;) we'll rock out together.

Its in the bad part, and watch out for fast food restaurants there, because they HATE kids that are at the Emereson for some reason, last time i went, they didn't want to serve us, so its pretty bad

I cant wait though

Awesome cd, awesome band, great guitarists who know how to compliment each other....and are able to pull off some hair metal tapping with out sounding cheesy lol. If you wanna learn about how to come up with hardcore style breaks this is a key album to have. The only thing i didn't like on this album was that the drummer's kick sounded was too wimpy like if he was hitting it with his stick rather than pounding it with a kick.

I like HTD a lot but I'd give the CD only a 2 or 3. The band is a blatant rip off of ZAO and they use the same old generic breakdowns. Still a good CD, I listen to it a lot, but they're not original at all.
