There's a difference between not having the maligned records in a band's catalogue and not having two of their essentials.

It's like someone not owning Highway 61 and Blood on the Tracks and saying they were a Bob Dylan fan.

I don't own 'The Wall.' The only thing I own from Pink Floyd are 'Dark Side of The Moon', 'Wish You Were Here' and 'Delicate Sound of Thunder.'

Does that make me a non-Pink Floyd fan?

Badmoon

Idiots are drawn to internet forums(period). I'd say that pop punk has it worse than rock and metal. As does the pit.

Who likes Kim Mitchell?

Let me re-phrase that. Who's heard of Kim Mitchell? I assure you guys that he rocks . He's just straight up hard rock with killer guitar solos.

Isn't strait up Hard Rock what we usually don't like?

Not Really, youre still a floyd fan, but Floyds the only band that i actually want to 'buy' all the stuff for. I own about 6 of their albums, some DVDs and posters. I really cant get enough of them. and i have some sweet floyd pics on the comp that i want to use for my avator, but as soon as i buy obscurred by clouds. Suits it well. but yeah, i got desktop themes and tons of guitar tablature and stuff like that. IT seems like ive only been learning their songs since 3 months ago. In fact, i should update my profile since i finished learn SOYCD and am learning something else.

and i dont own the wall either, since it cost too much right now. i did take a shortcut their, but ill own it soon

Yeah, the point I was trying to make it's that you really can't be label as a fan just because you don't own one of the band's album.

I'm one of the biggest Beatles fan I know, and if someone ask me which albums of them should you not buy, one of them will Sgt. Pepper. Shocker. Though I admired what Pepper did, I find that it's a boring album. Fixing a Hole, Being for the Benefit of Mr. Kite!, Lovely Rita and Good Morning Good Morning are probably the worst and most bloody boring Lennon/McCartney songs there are. And I sometimes get bored of listening a Day in the Life. But because of that, I don't considered myself a lesser of a Beatles fan. I considered that the White Album its their best album, but other people think its Pepper or Abbey Road. It all comes down to a matter of personal tastes.

Those bands can get repetative, but I was thinking like Deep Purple or BOC, where every song doesn't sound the same, at least I consider them straight up hard rock.

Family Albums/Related Albums - 4 albums

Versatile.

They came to Regina = they must suck.

It sounds to me you are just part of the band, and are trying to advertise your own music or something.

and to contribute to the thread:

Piper at the Gates of Dawn=amazing music, not really any guitar solos.
Not a very big fan of Def Leppard, too cheesy
I have Live and Dangerous, it's a good live album, although Thin Lizzy are basically known to the world as one hit wonders...and I sorta agree.

He actually had electronic drums that could be activated with his foot. So if he wanted a drum roll, or fill, or even solo...he could just press buttons with his feet. That more than makes up the lack of an arm. I actually don't mind his drumming though, my brother always plays one of his songs on drums and it's very catchy.

Take your pick of Like/Dislike/Who the Hell is that?

On the weekend I listened to some Doors while baked. Good choice indeed.
Now everyone's making me want to get baked and listen to music

That's the best part of smoking up. One of the only reasons I like weed more than booze is because listening to music while high makes it a hundred times better.

Wheels of Fire sounds like a good album. Are the live songs as amazing as I imagine they'd be?

What's so great about drugs, anyways? I've never done or smoked anything. I think I'd rather listen to music without being high.

Wheels of Fire=Great album. The live songs are amazing. My favorite is Spoonful, but I haven't gotten to Toad yet.

What was Goodbye? Was it another album or a compilation?

I don't think all drugs are great. I've only tried a couple, and I only smoke marijuana now. It just makes music more enjoyable to listen to, you can hear deeper into the music. I can't speak on behalf on all drugs, because I haven't tried very many, and I probably never will. If you don't think you need drugs...don't start, nothing bad has ever came out of not doing drugs (except prescription meds).

I haven't heard Goodbye...so I dunno what to tell you.

Live songs=ownage. Train Time is a little weak, but still good. Crossroads, Spoonful and Toad are amazing though.

I've only heard a few Lenny Kravitz songs, so I haven't formed much of an opinion about him.

I really can't stand Lenny Kravitz. He's basically just a stereotyped image of a rockstar, with no music capabilities whatsoever...except for coming out with a catchy unoriginal song every five years just to keep himself within a few steps of the spotlight. If he wants to be successful, he's gotta change something. He can't keep making the same album his whole life....it may have worked with AC/DC, but they had talent and substance to back it up.

Amen. He is just trying to milk the "classic rock image".

Or anyone listened to it?

Thanks, lunch.

And AC/DC also had one hell of a live show. Something I doubt Kravitz can say.

I might go see their reunion concert at Royal Albert Hall in May, but it is unlikely.

Yea I am too, but my parents visited London and loved it, so they might want to go back.

The "cheap" seats at the Hall for the Cream shows are 700$/pair.

I'd say a lot of early Lenny Kravitz is actually quality stuff. His guitar playing wasn't bad either. "Are You Gonna Go My Way" is an awesome song.

I'd wanna go, but I can't afford it. Hopefully someone just bootlegs it for all the poor fans out there.

edit- I don't mind some of Kravitz's earlier stuff, his hits were good...but if you listen to an entire album, it's not very original at all. And how were the shrooms?

Well I've been working my *** off for the chance to go, so I have the money now. With my luck I would go to the show in London and then Cream would decide to come to the U.S. and tour.

Badmoon is alive. We were worried about you earlier.

Does anyone know how Badmoon's shrooms went?

Well, the dumbass dealer didn't get them in. So we are going to do it at my friend's birthday party on Friday.

I have about 3800.

Badmoon was probably caught, he's grounded.

The ironic thing about that is I wasn't here today because I was getting high :p.

Shroom dealers are sketchy guys. I never believe that they are getting them until they actually have them.

^Well, the only thing more sketchier than shroom dealers are dealers who don't usually deal and have a hard time getting you the shrooms.

I was kind of including the people that claim they can get shrooms and then never do. Those people piss me off, that's why I never believe they have them unless it's on the person.

Shroom dealers that promise you a crop will be ready for the pickin' soon and then it fails because they didn't take enough care with it, and you were gearing up for some badarse tripping, which obviously can't happen meaning you have to wait, grow your own or find another dealer. :upset:
