I put a sign on my door that says "Out of Candy". Works like a charm.
It's catchy, after awhile it gets very annoying.

I'm listenin' to Beginnings right now. The Allman Brothers are so great. Everything about them. They take common boring Blues patterns and make them exciting. Like Dickey Betts and the Pentatonic scale. Sooo good.
Betts is the King (crowned by guitar magazine) of the Pentatonic scale.

i also like classic rock! i have an allman brothers album but for some reason i never got passed the first song. im gonna give it another listen. i hear a lot of people compare them to skynard. i dont wanna make a 'whos better' thing, cuz badmoon always gets angry, but honestly, is allman brothers worth listening to over skynard?

they are both worth listening to at different times for different reasons.

Illmatic

If it's in color (and, for that matter, has "The Allman Brothers Band" on the cover), then it's the self-titled debut album.
If it's in black and white, it's Live at Fillmore East.
Whipping post in on Beginings.

Duane Allman was one of the guitarists (Dickey Betts was the other)
Gregg Allman was the singer and often played organ or piano.
And when I said they were a "jam band"...I'm not sure what I meant, to be honest. That was just me being stupid.

Just a useless tidbit.

I'll have to do it some other time, though, because the computer I'm on has the harshest filter ever. It won't let me anywhere near that page for reasons unknown.
So I just changed my av. I did the usual thing where I take a clip from a webcomic and add appropriate words. I will work on the title thing later.

The Talking Heads don't fit the prototypical definition of a "classic rock" band, so I'm not surprised they haven't mentioned yet. They're great, though.
I just said we mentioned them. just only once I think.
And yes, they aren't quite rock. But still close enough to it to be considered classic rock.

I am happy that people listen to Uriah Heep, mostly I get blank stares when I try to bring them up in a classic rock discussion.
Classic Rock bands I love (I don't really listen to anything else...except a few exceptions);
Led Zeppelin
Pink Floyd
Yes
Uriah Heep
Nazareth (anyone listen to them?)
Rush
The Scorpions (saw them live, AWESOME show)
Judas Priest
The Yardbirds
Tom Petty & the Heartbreakers
Deep Purple
Jimi Hendrix
Jefferson Airplane
Heart
Janis Joplin
Boston
Sweet
AC/DC
Bad Company
Electric Light Orchestra
Cream
Crap, I know there's more that I'm forgetting.

You're obviously working against the obvious.
When Bill Clinton jumps on stage with his shirt all the way open, blonde curry hair twisted around his fingers, making such sounds you would hear from a woman during an orgasm, and making attempts at seducing movements, give me a call.
~The*Lemon*Song~
11-04-2004, 11:39 AM
hahaha, that would be quite a site to see. Especialy since he'd probably die before he got his other leg over the stage.
Nah, Plant just acts weird. He's married (has been since he was 18) and has kids. People did weird things in the 70's. Long hair was considered homosexual. Men wore what women wear today. His acting that way got attention. I don't think he was gay though. I'm just suprised his wife didn't divorce him for screwing all those chicks.
Besides, if it goes that way, then everyone in the 80's hair metal bands were homosexuals.
