I'm supposing you have Paint. Well, once you have opened the picture there, go to Image, then to Stretch/Skew. You should see something that says horizontal and vertical. But, the bad part is that it's in percent, so unless you're good with them, you're screw (like me). Trial and error until you have it at the correct size.

Me and my uncle went ridin' down,
South Colorado, West Texas bound.
We stopped over in Santa Fe,
That bein' the point just about half way,
And you know it was the hottest part of the day.
I took the horses up to the stall,
Went to the barroom, ordered drinks for all.
Three days in the saddle, you know my body hurt,
It bein' summer, I took off my shirt,
And I tried to wash off some of that dusty dirt.
When Texas cowboys, they's all around,
With liquor and money, they loaded down.
So soon after payday, know it seemed a shame;
You know my uncle, he starts a friendly game,
High-low jack and the winner take the hand.
My uncle starts winnin'; cowboys got sore.
One of them called him, and then two more,
Accused him of cheatin'; Oh no, it couldn't be.
I know my uncle, he's as honest as me,
And I'm as honest as a Denver man can be.
One of them cowboys, he starts to draw,
And I shot him down, Lord he never saw.
Well I grabbed a bottle, cracked him in the jaw,
Shot me another, oh **** he won't grow old.
In the confusion, my uncle grabbed the gold,
And we high-tailed it down to Mexico.
I love those cowboys, I love their gold,
I loved my uncle, God rest his soul,
Taught me good, Lord, Taught me all I know
Taught me so well, I grabbed that goldAnd I left his dead *** there by the side of the road.
Here's the line that does it.

We could set up a classic rock ftp, and people could upload/download at their leisure. We'd all have our own personal login.

Try a hosting website like Photobucket (www.photobucket.com) to upload the picture. Or if it's on a website just post the link.

Make RockandRoll or slowhand do it. Slowhand already has, and Rock has a band.
And me...well...no comment...

Wish I had a band.
I do too. I need a drummer and singer and a keyboard player would be nice but that's optional.

I can play crappy chord piano.
Back to the b&w avatar. When the color thing happens, all be ready.

Keyboardist/synthesist = cheesy
pianist/organist =
A good musician can play any of them. And I don't like synth very much. Plus, the only time i've heard organ work in rock is The Doors.

synthesist=great if used correctly

I could cover Birthday again, it's a pretty cool song to play, but I had a fight with my drummer and now he doesn't want to play with us anymore. And the bad part is, he is the only one who can record us in a computer and even do it in video format... so, I don't think it could happen now.
And I don't think a keyboard player makes a band better. It just brings more stability into a rock trio format (guitar, bass and drums; the essentials). But another guitar can do the same thing.
Keyboards always make a band better. It's a fact.

what does the host do?
The host will run the FTP server, meaning he (or she) will "host" all of the music. All users will connect directly to the host, so any downloading will use the hosts upload bandwidth, and anybody uploading to the host will use download bandwith. Basically the host will be the server, serving the rest of the people.
slowhand
09-26-2004, 03:06 PM
Who has the fastes connection?
And Paranoidd, have you heard Rush's cover of "Crossroads"?
Paranoidd
09-26-2004, 03:17 PM
I have a decent connection, just not alot of free HD space. My ISP has a strict policy against FTP's, I don't want to lose my connection.
Rush - Feedback - 08 - Crossroads
It's a great cover. I was trying to play it last night, I think I learned about 4 seconds of the song.
slowhand
09-26-2004, 03:25 PM
It's a pretty hard song. Ever hear Cream's version?
And I think the host should be someone with a high connection, maybe a cable connection. Mine's too slow...
Paranoidd
09-26-2004, 03:27 PM
Creams version is great too. Clapton had it going on back then.
Broken Arrow

slowhand
09-26-2004, 03:35 PM
I preffer Clapton vocals (how he sounds) and his guitar work. But at least in Rush's version you can understand the lyrics.
And Livewired, you might be the perfect candidate for the host.

EDIT oh you changed it nevermind
slowhand
09-26-2004, 03:38 PM
I changed it. It was a typo, it wasn't intentional. Though it sounds great, might use it for something someday.
Broken Arrow
09-26-2004, 03:51 PM
yeah it doesnt matter, what would i have to do to become the server?
i love both versions of crossroads. it doesnt really bother me that you cant understand the lyrics in cream's version. i like rush's cover of summertime blues too

www.winmx.com I think. It's like Kazaa but you can choose not to share any of your files, which means you can't really get caught.

And is it worth it?

09-26-2004, 04:54 PM
I downloaded it no problem just make sure you elect not to share any files. My computer didn't slow down or anything, but you use it at your own risk. If it does something crazy, I'm not responsible for it. It works for me but if you want it you can make your own decision.
It also looks a lot more confusing than it is.

No there isn't, which sucks. I use winamp and on winamp it says 'add file'. The files are all in My Music folder so you have to take the effort to do that.
that makes me sad :upset: im to lazy to do that
looks like i could be going back to kazaa
MalcolmYoungRock
09-26-2004, 05:24 PM
Nooo! Kazaa is teh evil
They give your system spyware like that!
"Hmm.. I'm gonna download "Sweet Child O' Mine"
BOOM! BOOM! BOOM! BOOM! You suddenly have 4000000 things of spyware.
lunch998
09-26-2004, 05:24 PM
Yea it's some effort. But it's free music and my parents made me get rid of Kazaa so its the best I can do. I prefer it over using an internet site though.
ill give it a try anyway...i need to stop being a lazy bastard
