History-
The album was recorded live on September 24th, 1976, Three months prior to them being signed to EMI.The concert was at The 76 Club in Burton-on-Trent, a town almost lost in the middle of knowhere (or so the booklet says) Little more then 40 people attended the show.

The sound
The sound is like any other Sex Pistols album, just with more squeals. The Tone of the guitars sound the same as they do today(I saw them live, so I can prove it)

What I Liked
This album is raw and is displayed just as it took place on September 24th, 1976.It has the microphone\amp squeals and the crowd cheers in-tact too, which seems to be absent in newer live albums. In Track number 7, the song is almost ruiend by Microphone\amp squeals, and for some reason i really like it. It kinda makes you feel like you were actually there.Track number 14,"PA Trouble" starts off like Problems then goes into really bad squeals, even to the point of them stopping and restarting. Most of the Songs have different parts in them and have differnt words, Its great when a band doesn't preform there songs the exact same way everytime.

Favorite Track- Pretty Vacant/problems, these is my favorite songs by the Sex Pistols so evedently, they are my favorite Tracks on this album.

What I didn't like
The sex pistols arn't really genre defining. This Cd wont start you off in liking punk music. This is probly the last play you should start. This is pretty much a Like'm or dont album.

Overall
If you like the 'Pistols, Buy it, if you dont, dont.
3/5 Stars

I have never heard that song, but if it's a cover it is probably by The Who. They do a song in their early days called "Substitute. Catchy tune.

I'm not really sure if the Pistols would do a Who cover, but they were unpredictable.

John Lydon's Autobiogrpahy says that everyone in the band like The Who except him.
