Yesterday, I went to the CD store and bought 5 CDs. It was one of the most satisfying things to see the CD salesman give me a weird look as he was scanning my CDs because of the diversity of them. This let me know that my musical tastes had finally evolved, and I was into more diverse music now. I used to be into only one kind of music, and I always wanted to open my eyes to more, but I never did. Until now.

Wow, that story was pointless.

Anyway, what were the last 5 CDs you bought? And it has to be bought, not burned or got as a gift. Because nothing beats going to the CD store. Mine were:

Ryan Adams - lloR N kcoR
The Beatles - Magical Mystery Tour
Cursive - The Ugly Organ
Oasis - (What's the Story) Morning Glory?
OutKast - Speakerboxxx/The Love Below

And I apologize for wasting your time with this pointless post.

Ha, alright...
ODB is even more hilarious than Homestarruner, he's total novelty. And on Nigga Please there are a ton of tracks with the Wu Tang, so there is some actual flow on the CD along with ODB's hilarious lyrics, voice, and antics.
Tell me that "I Can't Wait" isn't pure genious. He even gives a shout out to "um...um...what's them niggas? Oh yeah, Outkast."
Pure gold.

I think Give Up is a great album. Another one of my favorite albums from this year. Some of the songs have a beat that sounds like it's from Super Nintendo and provides loads of nostalgia. :p Overall I think it's a great album. Gibbard's song writing abilites are great here too, and Jimmy Tamborello's electronic beats add a definitive sound to the album.

Oh yes indeed, "Brand New Colony" made me want to bust out the NES (well, emulator) and play Lolo or something as well. I sincerely hope that it wasn't a one-shot deal. Death Cab for Cutie + electronica? And it works? They can't leave it at one album. Albeit, their "cease and desist" order from the government will ruin it a little bit, but they should still make more material.

I found it at Waterloo Records in Austin, TX, probably the one of the best independent record stores I've ever been to. I didn't go in there planning on finding it, got curious, and it sure as hell was there, so I bought it right away.

Go to www.waterloorecords.com to search their website. If it's not listed - call them, because they're pretty cool about getting stuff in for you.

I buy a lot of used cds, even if i dont like the artist. i like listen to all kinds of music:thumb:

I don't remember the order, but i remember these being the last five!
These are the maximum price i paid. It's hard for me to convert Sweden money/prices to dollars! :upset:

EDIT: my last bought cd Billy Sheehan - Compression (19$ :upset: ) this cd is VERY good!

Steve Vai - Secks and Religion (7$) Devin is my favourite singer :)
John Frusciante - Niandra LaDes and Usually Just a T-Shirt (4,5$) beautiful but really strange cd.
The Beavis and Butt-Head Experience (2$) yeah that price kicks A$$$ and the cd.
Rush - Vapor Trials (8$) i want more rush cd, i just can't get enough.
311 - Grassroots (2,5$) im not a huge 311 fan tho. but i like the style of the music (like Incubus and so).

My good friend, i knew i would rub off on you...

But of course. I still affirm that "Why Ever Did We Meet" is catchier than "What Do You Want Me To Say" but the latter was stuck in my head for a while so I finally dedicated myself to purchasing the album it is found on. :)

Asymm, what do you think of A Ghost Is Born?
I haven't had too much time to really digest that one yet, but from a few listens I've really enjoyed what I've heard. It's not as catchey as a few tracks from Yankee Hotel Foxtrot, its more of a growing album with some real long soloing/instrumentation breaks. The soft vocals from Tweedy at times allows me to envision the pain he's recently been feeling from rehab and whatnot. Some real powerful moments. I'd definitely recommend this.

hey, you're not cory!
