This album is another one of those great albums that even if your friend offers to burn you his copy you have to refuse and buy your own copy. Every element of this album is at the top of its game. Death By Stereo have successfully got even better than there last album which was still an amazing album. They have been able to advance their sound to that slim genre that has no name that is somewhere between punk and metal.

Sorry I accidently posted the first half.
This album incorporates ear splitting guitar riffs -from two great guitarists- that are so intense you will need to take a break afterwards, along with drummer Todd Hennig pounding his drum kit into a pile of dust. The bass parts are so deep and powerful you can't help but feel it in your chest. Efrem Schulz is not only a great singer who has the ability to sing as good as he screams, but he is also an amazing lyricist.
The lyrics range from social problems such as being an outcast (The Plague), to political songs such as (Good Morning America). Mostly the songs are about "Perfect People" and how it's hard to trust people. Unlike alot of bands that make music similar to Death By Stereo they don't use the common lyrics such as "**** the Government" or boneheaded lyrics. They keep their distance from song's that simply say "I don't like ______ (fill in the blank)". Their lyrics are of the itelligent breed also seen in bands such as Propagandhi and Rage against the Machine. The only difference is Death By Stereo doesn't use such a highly political approach to their lyrics but more of a social approach. They expand on why they may not like something or even offer a solution to a problem.
This record is by far their most metal inspired, angry record to date. This is one of those bands that nearly everyone within the genre can agree on and even many people outside the genre understand the greatness of this album.
Pros +
- Angry, fast paced, metal inspired music
- Inspirational lyrics that are intelligent
- Amazing production
- Every song can be considered one of the best
cons -
The only critisism I can think of is they should get another album out quick
I give this a 5/5. I know how bold of a statement it is to give an album a 5 but this album deserves it.

What's metalcore?
Metal + Hardcore = Metalcore
The majority of "metalcore" however, is just metal with breakdowns.

I wanted to review this so bad, but instead I'll just post and say how amazing this CD is. This really does deserve 5/5, I bought this CD with moderate expectations and it blew me away. Every track is good and DBS is so underrated. Wouldn't call them metalcore though...
