I'm also digging Wargasm's "Why Play Around" right now. Never really got to listening to it till now...vocals are pretty awesome.

Wargasm is awesome... I prefer the demo Satan Stole My Lunch Money to Why Play Around though, the four best songs from WPA are on the demo and the production suits them better.

Haven't heard Inzest or Heritage though, so I will give em a good around.

the fact that most of them take a "yell cos I can't actually sing" approach

You have to remember the context of the music, having somebody like Kelly Carpenter (ex-Outworld) do vocals for Mobid Saint's Spectrum of Death would have sounded horrible, despite Kelly being one of the best metal vocalists I have heard. His vocals would not fit with the music at all. Nearly all of the thrash I have heard, agressive vocals are the only thing that fit with the music and actually add to it.

Coroner you mean? I've got the first three albums. RIP isn't as good as the stuff they did later - hadn't found their sound quite yet, and out of those three I've got I prefer Punishment for Decadence best, but it's the way they've progressed over the albums that gives me high hopes for Mental Vortex. That's because old Slayer fans wouldn't waste their time talking to clueless mallcore kiddies about how Legion surpasses Cannibal Corpse. That's why they come here where there are no mallcore kiddies.
