Sodom's re-releasing "In the Sign of Evil" with 7 tracks that were meant to go with it...it's considered a whole album now and they're calling it "The Final Sign of Evil"...tbh it looks sweet, I don't think Sodom would be a band to f*ck up the originals with sh*tty re-recordings so this should be cool.

I heard this is this may be their last tour... maybe this will be a good thing. Even though Slayer used to be the ****ing greatest band on earth.

They were asked to tour with him, and they just wanted to play. I read an interview about it where Kerry said they were asked to tour with him, and it was just something to do. Manson, he said, made a big deal about wanting to close every set, and Slayer were just like "well, alright, who gives a ****? We just want to play."

And no, they're not done. Kerry dropped a hint in a past interview where he said something to the extent that they've got one more album left in them...which I know for you all is kinda lame to hear, but for me, I can't wait!

and the re-release of "Christ Illusion" comes out on July 24th with the 11th track, "The Final Six". I heard the song awhile ago when it didn't have vocals, and it seriously sounded like old-school Slayer.

Bazarov
07-07-2007, 11:45 PM
I've not heard this The Final Six and after Christ Illusion, I was let down, so another album being released by Slayer, my thoughts are.. "whatever..."

I'll download their new album when it comes around, and if it's anything good, I'll buy it and be happy... but most thrash bands of the 80's they've been around for over 20 years and being able to create top notch music and creativity is certain to deplete, I think Slayer have gone past this point though.

i don't know why, but i have a theory why all of you prefer generally "older albums" by good bands, instead of the newer one - you say they are better and that they are more "true" ^^ lol.

you know what? its the quality... back in the 80s the recording-quality was just bad - now its on top... even if slayer will produce an album like "show no mercy" but with todays "quality" you all still won't like it.

i too like the old 80s sound, but only cause its "dirty" doesn't mean its good or less good than the newer things. i personally like slayers last album!

and i don't talk only about Slayer, but about all this "true-fukking-metal-attitude" on mx...

I agree with Butcher. I think Rattlehead beats whiplash anyday.

With all the old Megadeth songs, instead of regular riffs inbetween verses, there would be little solos and that was one of the best traits about their music. In one of there later albums Countdown to Extinction there was a song called Physcotron and it has those small solos. Reminded me of the old Megadeth.

Anthrax had Fistfull of Metal and they were on Married with Children..
