It's killer stuff. Some Canada's best
Apocalyptic Raids

Yeah, they're probably my favourite Thrash out of Cananda, along with Razor and Dissection.

I've got Forward To Termination.
FatalEnergy

Oh man, you really should hunt down Soldiers of Misfortune. Forward to Termination is like Schizophrenia, while Soldiers of Misfortune is like Beneath the Remains. If you get what I'm saying.

It's too bad that Infernal Majesty sucks nuts now.
And Forward to Termination is totally better than Solders(That's not to insult Solders though...)... but my favourite is probably Torment in Fire.
FatalEnergy

Yeah, That 10 year break up IM had really screwed with their song writing skills.

Too bad that band didn't go anywhere. I would have loved to seen an actual Full Length album from them. I still wonder how At the Suck did a cover of Legion. If they did it by ear, that's pretty impressive. There's plenty of parts where you can't even tell what's going on.
Squirrel
08-03-2006, 03:54 PM
Hence why the cover is so different to the original.
FatalEnergy
08-03-2006, 04:21 PM
Yes, true. Was puzzles me most though is....how did they get the lyrics? They couldn't have just re-written them
Squirrel
08-03-2006, 04:31 PM
Yeah, I never understood that.
The main thing i didnt get was how AtG had even heard of them; why would a cult thrash band from Australia be known in Sweden, especialy back then ?
FatalEnergy
08-03-2006, 05:06 PM
Yeah, that was before the internet made it easy to find bands. Oh well....Slaughterlord is great. I still say it's a shame they were never given the chance to make an album.

I'm going to agree with Jono about this, I used to like Testament when I first started finding thrash bands, but I really don't like them now besides a few select songs. Over the Wall, Into the Pit, and Electric Crown are about all I still like by them.
And to say another thing, a kid I know who's super nerd computer skills guy found Chlorine for the Gene pool for me and is currently getting it for me. Jono, if you don't have it, I should be able to give it to you sometime tomorrow if you're interested.

According to Soma, it isn't sponsered by Jaegermeister.
But it's at SOMA, I don't know if you've been there, it's a smaller venue across from the Sports Arena. This show is going to sell out since the venue only holds probably like 2,000 people and there's so many post HxC kids in San Diego, they're going to cry when they see they can't beat up air to Exodus and Napalm Death.

Long-defunct British thrashers SABBAT will reunite to support CRADLE OF FILTH on their upcoming U.K. tour in December. The reunion came about "due to many a conversation with Dani [Filth, CRADLE frontman] and Paul [Allender, COF guitarist] whilst mixing the [new] CRADLE album," SABBAT guitarist-turned-producer Andy "Undie" Sneap told BLABBERMOUTH.NET. "It was put to us that they'd love to see it happen (Dani still has his stolen copy of 'Dreamweaver' [1989] on cassette), and the more we've talked about it, it just seemed like opening for CRADLE on these shows would be a great way of getting the five of us together again for a bit of fun. It's not a long-term thing, [and we don't have] any delusions about the future — [it's] just a chance to play some of the old songs and have a blast."
SABBAT 2006 reunion lineup (same as that on 1989's "Dreamweaver"):
Martin Walkyier - Vocals
Andy Sneap - Guitar
Simon Jones - Guitar
Fraser Craske - Bass
Simon Negus - Drums
Says Sneap: "We just have to try and remember the songs, but we've had three rehearsals already and it sounds great."
Exact cities and dates will be announced soon.

Some lyrics from "Poser Holocaust" from their new EP:
It's time for an up close meeting with the concrete
My boot makes your skull crack against the pavement
Stupid moshfag and your ****ing Pantera tattoo
As your cranium bleeds you cry out for your mother
Unleash the fury of the ancient gods
To relieve me of my pity for your worthless soul
Amongst your ranks lie the cowards and honorless
I will put an end to it- by Power!
No slaughter of the innocent this night
Kill every poser in sight
The gutters run red with worthless blood
As we rid the world of human scum
We don't care how many lives are lost
Tonight on this glorious Poser Holocaust
We'll cut through their hides with the inverted cross
It's the ****ing Poser Holocaust
Spike covered fists and baseball bats descend upon the streets
Violence is in our hearts and on our minds
No money or job, my life is strangely fulfilled
Feasting on posers gives me all I need
We build up a throne with the bones of the weak
You can't stop us, what the **** are you going to do?
Drenched in mother****ing blood
Sauron takes control
Kill
Wretched spawn, you will die
On your ****ing knees
Bow down to our will
Torture
You don't stand a ****ing chance
Alcoholic Retribution
Drunken minds in a poser killing frenzy
Torture racks and doomsday devices
We've come equipped for slaughter in the night
Dirty old Denim
Knife in my hand provides intense laceration
