Well besides the vocalist change at the end of the 80's, it's always been Mike (the guitarist) and Schmier. They have had a four drummers, and they had a second guitarist on Mad Butcher, Release From Agony and Cracked Brain.
I just discovered my mate doesn't like European thrash. I'm pretty annoyed. He'll listen to Slayer and Exodus but not Kreator and Bifrost.

I would, but my internet is way to slow. I'm suprised you can't find any on limewire though. I suggest you get Soulseek (http://www.slsknet.org) since Death is really easy to find on there.
I will give you a list of songs though:
Zombie Ritual (this is one of, if not their most popular song)
Leprosy
Pull The Plug
Infernal Death
Open Casket

Oh, you mean the intro that Mike Oldfield composed and which opens his landmark debut Tubular Bells, which was then used by the producers of The Exorcist to open their movie, and probably used by Possessed without them knowing the original creator.
Great band though. There's a fantastic energy flowing through every second of Seven Churches.

Guitarists Larry Barragan and Rob Trevino from the "Remnants Of War"-era lineup of HELSTAR have revealed to LivingForMetal.com in a recent interview that the band is officially back together and that plans exist to record new material. The group's current lineup is completed by singer James Rivera (also in VICIOUS RUMORS, KILLING MACHINE), bassist Jerry Abarca and drummer Russell DeLeon. An excerpt from the chat follows:
LivingForMetal.com: So would you say HELSTAR is officially back and you plan to record a new album and tour behind it? And what type of time frame do you anticipate that to happen?
Larry: "Yeah, we are a band again. The plan is to record but there again you need a label to do that. Touring, I think will be sporadic. Rob and I make our money and support our families in the corporate world; really all of us have day gigs that quite frankly pay the bills better than anything we could make on the road. So when you hear of us doing a show you know we really wanted to do it because we are basically taking vacation time to play them."
Rob: "We are officially a band again. It is up to the people, the fans, and the labels whether or not we continue on. If the interest is there, we will continue to record and do some touring. For me, I would really like to see us put out at least one more 'official' HELSTAR release for the fans who've asked for it all of these years."
LivingForMetal.com: I know it's in the early stages but what can we expect to hear on the new HELSTAR album? How are the songs taking shape and how has your playing styles and skills changed over the years?
Larry: "I don't practice as much as I used to but I was never really a shredder, you know. I've always tried to select my notes and make my solos interesting; that hasn't changed. I think my picking is a little bit better now. I think the new HELSTAR album will find us sounding a bit heavier but we won't forget our neoclassical roots."
Rob: "I think it will sound like HELSTAR, only updated and with better production. I'd like to think that we can make something that will sound as heavy and dark as we know the band can sound. There will definitely be more aggression at times, but melody as well."

and meeting your favourite bands is easy. Everybody take notes here. I'll assume most of everybody's favourite bands here are actually good, and not rock stars! like Slayer or Megadeth or whoever, so go to one of their shows if it comes to town, or even to a relatively close town/country, then approach them and proceed to speak to them. Terror Squad is one of my favorite alltime albums, it has so many great riffs! I just need to find tabs/music notes so I can learn it myself
I prefer By Inheritance, but Terror Squad rules.
You should check out Forbidden, Josh. Paul Bostaph ftw

They're doing a show in Seattle, Washington, which is on the West coast, so I'm hoping that some how they'll stop all the way down somewhere near where I can go see them. I seriously doubt it though.

Assorted Heap - Mindwaves
Deztroyer - Climate Change
Chainsaw - Smell the Saw
Depressive Age - Lying in Wait
Acid Storm - Biotronic Genesis

Some awesome stuff in that list, I'm going to check out the rest of those that I haven't heard yet.

They can tour foreign countries, but can't even do any west coast dates (specifically Souther California). These guys upset me.

Nuclear Winter is my favorite song. The only thing I have on my comp right now is their latest release, which doesn't quite compare to their old stuff.

Yeah, Percecution Mania, Agent Orange, and M-16 are probably the best from them.
Although In the Sign of Evil was morbid as hell and Tapping the Vein wasn't bad at all.
Too much good stuff from them.
NP: Ritual Carnage - World Wide War

Agent Orange, Persecution Mania and In The Sign Of Evil are all Thrash essentials.
Acid Storm - Galactic Holocaust -- Biotronic Genesis [06:43m/192Kbps/44KHz] - 1991
Me likes Brazilian thrash

Decent list man. I haven't heard of Egzekuthor, Torr, Insane or Depressive Age but I'll check them out because most of the others on that list are good.
Does anyone listen to or know of the following:
Taurus
Witchhammer
Attomica/Atomica
Lobotomia
Amnesia
Entropy
Evil Sinner
Gladiator
Zoetrope
?
