I used to watch The Addams Family laaaate nights. That was fun. If we're talking about Cartoons from when we were younger, you can't go past Ren & Stimpy, Doug, Count Duckula, Attack of the Killer Tomatos...etc etc. I was a bit of a Nick whore when I was younger. Great days.
Best kids show = Saved By The Bell. Now that is non-negotiable.

I disagree...
Best Nickolodeon show was Rocko's Modern Life, I love(d) that show. Doug was pretty cool too. And Tiny Toons.

Haha, I preferred her look in Beverly Hills 90210. Sadly it was such a bad show, I couldn't just watch it for the perving oppertunities. Screech was just the best thing on TV.
I think Nick used to have the best cartoons on the whole really. Cartoon Network used to really piss me off cause they always played second-rate battle cartoons and Jap stuff later on. Anyway, why are we still on about cartoons!

CN sucks now. Well maybe for the funny old cartoons I remember seeing before Junior High, but yes I have to agree.
Cartoons are the only escape from within into the glory of eternal childhood which lives long and forever inside all of us.

My soon to be made crossover band's name is Cuerno de Chivo, which is Messican slang for an AK-47, a proper translation would leave it as Horn of Goat. Still sounds good. haha. Just not enough people in my city want to do a crossover band, but when I manage one together, that's what it'll be called, an hell, I even made 2 logos out of boredom:

I think that's all Carcass did during their early days. I was reading some of the lyrics from Necroticism the other day and I'd be just puzzled to the point of smashing my head through the wall.
They weren't even medical students either. I can't imagine how long it took to actually make sense of all the stuff they wrote down.

The Eyes Of Horror is a solid little thrash EP. The riffing is fresh and original, and its a good continuation of what they had going on Beyond The Gates.

I got Live In L.A. last night, its pretty good, but I hate those ultra clean sounding live records with guitar low in the mix. Similar to Rude Awakening.
On another note, this is what Ted Aguilar from Death Angel had to say about the new Exodus:
Sad to hear about Rick. But he did 22 years of brutal fun
But I did hear the new EXO. It ****ing CRUSHES!!!!!!! Bostaph's best drum work since Forbidden's Twisted Into Form. Don't get me wrong, he did great in Slayer (live & on record), but when I heard his drumming on this record, it blows everything he did in Slayer away!!!!!! IMO Rob Dukes sounds amazing. Great vocal work. The riffs? Well, we all know Gary is the man when writing the riffs. Overall, a ****ING 10 for this record!!!
Well, seeing how Death Angel haven't written anything good since The Ultra-Violence, anything could "****ing crush" in their eyes.
But Ted knows his thrash, so I guess you trust him, kinda.

Yeah, I heard one or two songs off of Cause For Conflict, and I thought they were okay, so I decided to give it a chance.....and well, the album is only....okay. Nothing too special about it, and Mille's voice sucks on it. At least it's not totally abysmal like Renewal and the other 90's and 00's albums

I'd like to take a moment to welcome to Exodus our newest member, Lee Altus. Lee has been a great friend of mine for many years and is also one of the greatest guitarist I've had the pleasure of knowing. He was not only the best guy for this job, he was the only one. No one else was ever considered. His leads are totally ripping on the new album and I am looking very much forward to working with him on new music soon. He is a rhythm crusher as well as a shred machine so things are going to be heavy as hell! We start rehearsals Wednesday and I can't wait. My moving is done and I am chomping at the bit to get the show on the road.

Haha, this is awesome. We are at war with the neighbours! Mum gave me the all clear to blast music at them from my brother's room, and whenever we go outside we get to cuss at them! I was thinking of assaulting them with Eternal Nightmare tommorow, anyone got any recommendations?

If you have any Napalm Death, it would be sure to offend the neighbors.
What religion do the neighbors belong too? I have music to offend every race, religion, etc etc.

Oh have lots of ND and Obituary, I think a blast of Darkness Descends would do them some good. They are Islamic, or Muslim, or something like that. They are real self centred immature bastards, no less than 3 fans that blast out air from the kitchen, along with the smell from whatever roadkill they decided to throw in a pot and cook. They wont even answer to us when we try and reason!! I'll TP a couple pf pics I took when my mum attacked the fans

I'm TheChosenOnes, I've been here before. :p
Thanks a ton for the recommendations though, that ought to keep me busy for a while.
I've heard Sauron (US) is good, I saw Dargon mention them one time.
^^Sabbat, Death Angel.
Ah yes, I just checked out Sabbat. I haven't really listened yet though. I wasn't too facinated with the Death Angel I heard, which was "Act III" or something.

oy, im back,
what do you guys think, is it a good idea to get a Gibson Flyin V ?, the list price was 998, the current price is 659, im payin 72 $, my aunts payin 100$, and my parents are payin the rest, which ill get a job to pay back, anyways is a Gibson V good for thrash
Apocalyptic Raids
08-12-2005, 09:47 AM
I've never played a Gibson V myself, although James Hetfield used to use one back in the early 80's, and I think John Connelly uses one to. They do seem to be a good thrash guitar, although it depends on the pickups and amp the most I think (amirite?). Jackson V's are very popular for thrash, you could look at one of them.

I already recommended the LTD DV8-R for a few more bucks. Gibsons suck IMO, and I absolutely hate the rounded V shape.
