Yep. For us So Cali. people, they said the ride needed a makeover because one time at my old school, they had this meeting with a tech from Disneyland who talked to us about why they were going to shut it down for about 2 years.
The track got old, and it was also a good chance to revamp the entire rollercoaster in TOTAL TOTAL ****ING DARKNESS!
No more bright sun. No more lights. Just the stars, and I heard it's badder, faster, and cool surf music by Dick Dale plays.
Althought Extreme Aggression would be sweet.
Better yet, I got a perfect song.

Yeah I know, that's what sucks about it. I probably won't get to Great Adventure this year even, hopefully next year it'll be good. Last summer I waited for around 2 hours to get onto Superman front row, then the ride broke down. They couldn't move the seats out of 'flight position', they got firemen to bring the people down from the ride. Took another hour and a half, then the ride sucked balls when we finally got on it.
Even though it never worked...
Which ride?

Nah, I didn't go to Ozzfest.
I went the year before they built the Dragster. That ride had a lot of problems too, you think they would've learned from mistakes to make the Kingda Ka better, since it's the same design.

Hello again everybody. It’s been some time now, hasn’t it?
I’ve got a couple of things to say here. First, let me apologize for my absence here at the board. But one must forgive me for having to make an album, spend the summer with my kids, packing up all my **** and moving, and not wanting to jump into answering questions that I know I’ll be asked a thousand times over in the coming months. Simply put, I needed space.
First, on the subject of deleting Rick’s posts, I have taken down one, and only one , post of his. This was told to him in a phone conversation , due to the fact that we did not want the label to hear it first on Blabbermouth. They deserve to hear it from us. I told Rick I had saved it and would re-post it when I was ready to make a statement. When his departure had become public knowledge I had messaged our mod and told him to allow any talk about it. It was out in the open so let it ride. It seems Rick thinks I am still deleting his posts but in fact I have not been on the board for weeks. So maybe some kind of signals have gotten crossed , but Rick is always welcome to post here. So here is Rick’s post for you.
22 years, wow thats longer than alot of you have been alive.Im sitting here writing this post and the last 22 years are racing through my head like you wouldnt believe. From the drive to Gary’s house the first time I ever played with Exodus in Gary’s moms garage,my very first gig at Wolfgangs with Loudness, all the gigs at Ruthies,The Mab,The Stone,The Kabuki, etc, etc, etc, they just go on and on and on.I feel so fortunate to be a part of something that started out as some guys playing their guitars as fast as we could ,to say playing in front of 80,000 people at Dynamo and touring all over the world doing what we loved to do.Words cant describe the emotions I am feeling right now,one minute I am laughing the next I am sobing like a little baby this is by far the most difficult decision I have ever had to make, bar none. But I look over to my right and see my 2 little boys Odin 3, & John 16 months sleeping and I know it is the right one.I just cant see myself being away from them anymore, I just cant.Exodus deserves 110% from me and I just cant give them that anymore my boys need me.Like I said this is the hardest decision I have ever had to make and it is breaking my heart,I am crying so hard right now I can barely see what I am typing.I dont know in words how to show my appreciation to evey one that has supported me in the last 22 years, god, if I had to list them it would reach from S.F. to N.Y. To all of the people that have helped us over the past 2 decades(you know who you are)we seriously couldnt have survived without you.And to the fans that I have cherished with all of my heart, thank you for 22 years of incredible memories and as I always said you were Exodus we were just five guys playing the music that we loved. And to the band, you were my heart and soul for a long time we had some great times and played some great shows,I know you will find a shredder to replace me and I wish him the best of luck, and finally I would like to say to my brother Gary Holt,my partner in crime, my best friend who I love and respect with all of my heart you’ve put up with my sometimes flakey ways and everything else, you have always been there for me Gary, and you deserve more than I can give right now. We have jumped every hurdle that they could throw at us and we still kept going .We were the H TEAM and no one can take that away from us, we made our mark in history, that I am very proud of.The new material is killer and I hope the new album does well, but it is time to hang up my axe for now my boys need me.MUCH LOVE AND RESPECT RICK HUNOLT
I have nothing but the utmost love for Rick Hunolt and fully understand why he left. His boys need him. He could not give the band what we needed out of him time and commitment -wise and he knew it. Meanwhile I still have a job to do. And while Rick will be missed by all of us, this album is an achievment in heaviness. My own silence on the subject was due to the fact that I had decided to let the music do the talking. Everyone pays lip service to how heavy their next record is, and they rarely live up to the hype. All I can say is listen and you will believe. I have played this record for some very devastated fans and they left 100% convinced. It is a mother****er like no other.
And we will be making our official announcement about our new guitarist soon.
So, I am off to finish packing and moving but I promise that I will return shortly to answer your questions and ****, just like I always have. Unless that is you’ve forgotten which band member ( and I include all of them) was the one who was always here in the first place.
Hope to see you all on our upcoming tours,
Gary Holt

I just got back from my little trip to Disneyland last night, so I was too ****ing tired to check the boards x_x.
However, I went back a couple of pages and noticed this whole Rick situation was true :upset:
Right now, as I type, I'm listening to eXodus as my tribute not only to him, but to Tom, Rob, and especially Paul!
It's just so sad to really see other people suffer like that because I guess I can really see where he's coming from about the "being there for his kids." For me, almost turning 18, I realize I shoul make decisions too, but hopefully I won't get stuck like that because he did contribute to the band's glory, but I really really really hope the band and him succeed. I really think (totally random) that being there for his kids at such a young age will make them a lot more confident and independent, because well, I feel like my parents kind of abandoned me more for my older sister. However, I survived and that's what really matters to me. However, Rick sounds like he's being a good man and a ****ing kickass dad. Maybe one day his kids will carry the metal torch he has carried for so long.
On the other note, Mathias wanted to know what amp I had. I have a Peavey Triple XXX, and hot **** it sounds badass :)
Other than that, Disneyland kicked ***. Got on all the rides (Space Mountain and Star Tours twice) and holy ****, they really really really really fixed Space Mountain to really go faster and the track layout changed. It's more unpredictable, and the drops are steeper than what I remember. It's more intense, which is good. I just decided to post this to tell Ryan.
The other fixes they did to the ride here in Cali was the special effects, the hallways are enclosed now (so you can't see anything), the station is a darker, the gates are more space looking, they took out the Fed Ex robot (:upset:), and there's asteriods at the top the lift hill instead of the sun. The sound is a lot better too! The whole ride is in really total darkness, so it makes me give it

x_x that sucks. Hopefully one day you two can trade off and you shall explore the enlightening glory created by such a good band.
BbB is excellent now that I have listened to it so many times, and Fabulous Disaster is still really good, and I shouldn't compare them because then I'll get jumped here

I already have BbB on my computer, but its nice to own the original. Not to mention less illegal. It will probably be one of my next purchases.

You have a nice collection there. It's funny how I haven't been able to browse you ever (except for one time), then it suddenly worked a few seconds ago.
Haha, yea, that happened to alot of folks, but like I said, I finally managed to forward my router ports (the reason alot of people got that error), so most people should be able to get at my files. If there're any files that ye want, just msg me, and I'll start the d/ls for ye.

SODOM: 'Lords Of Depravity – Part I' DVD Due Next Month
Long-running German thrashers SODOM have set "Lords of Depravity - Part I" (view cover here http://sodomized.info/cdpics/tn_lords.jpg) as the title of their new DVD, due on September 19 via SPV. The first of two double-DVD sets will contain "the SODOM history from 1982 to 1995 and the concerts from Sofia, With Full Force, Wacken, Bang Your Head and Rock Hard festivals," according to SODOM mainman Thomas "Angelripper" Such. "Total play time of the double DVD will be at least five hours . . Nothing that could be interesting for you SODOM fans should be withheld. Highlight of the entire DVD are interviews with all, still living ex musicians. It was a real challenge for me to organize that all!"
The follow-up DVD, "Lords of Depravity - Part II", "will be published at the beginning of 2006 and contain the history from 1996 to 2005 when there was no more lineup changes," stated Such. "You can barely imagine what you'll get to see and hear, because in this period a camera was always at hand. This double DVD will also have a play time of more than five hours."
SODOM are scheduled to release their new studio album in January via SPV Records. A U.S. tour with FINNTROLL will kick off January 6 in Springfield, VA.

I finally managed to forward my router ports, so pretty much everyone should be able to view my files, and if by chance that it doesn't work, I can send ye stuff on the messenger of yer choice (AIM, Yahoo, MSN). :thumb:
Will do, thanks man! :D

Well, I just have to say that:
-The link doesn't work but I typed in the browser's address bar and it worked.
-Gases Majik has a bit of problems, more like the drums don't go well with the guitaring.
Don't get me wrong, I liked the riffing a lot, sounded like Iron Maiden-ish thrash at the beginning. However, it's just that the drums didn't lock too well in. Think you could try messing around with the drumming a bit if you have the source file (that is, if you worked with it like sound editor or something...a recording software thingy)?

I have to say Ryan, there's still hope for you if that disc only costs $5.
If Face could get something like that for that price, you can get classics for the same or nothing that'd be overkill.
So is Wacken through and over?

I got a random question. Do any of you guys remember the cartoon Danger Mouse?
I saw the first two seasons on sale at Suncoast, and I had a bit of a flashback to the good ol' days of watching that with Duckula and Sonic The Hedgehog.
