hey, if you record it, I'll put the bass on it
what ever happened to the Bonded By Blood cover?
Lazy bastards
Once I get an adapter, I can plug my amps into my PC and record it. Sad thing is I can only lay the rhythm to it, and maybe the intro if I am really good like I think I am.
I can't solo :upset:

You can still get good seats in my city too... so we haven't sold too too many, and Ozzfest can't be blamed for that. We're not getting Ozzfest.
Too many ****ty bands like Bobaflex are the biggest ones to blame for this.

That Megadeth compilation you have, IMO, is not very good. It doesn't even have Take No Prisoners, My Last Words ( ), Good Mourning/Black Friday ( ), and a HUGE disappointment:

Nuclear Blast Germany have announced that EXODUS have named their new album Shovel Headed Kill Machine, and will release the album through the label on October 4th. Tracks to be featured on the album include: 'Raze', 'Deathamphetamine', 'I Am Abomination', 'Going, Going, Gone' and '.44 Magnum Opus'. More details on the release as they surface. Meanwhile, Exodus are gearing up for tours of the U.S. and Europe in November and December.

Act III is nothing compared to The Ultra-Violence. U-V is a more straightforward thrash album with lots of riffs, where-as Act III had other musical influences in it that took away from the thrashing.
Plus, Mistress Of Pain just slays.
Death Angel as a band, however, are just like Testament (IMO). Overrated, not enough quality thrash.

It's ok. Nothing special, but certainly worth a download since it is long out of print.
Music-wise it is pretty much a progression from OTM and further from EN, with more groove type stuff.

It's ok, in fact some of the songs are quite good, but it's no Eternall Nightmare.
Oppressing The Masses has more variety in songwriting than Eternal Nightmare. That may sound like a good thing, but that's what brings in down a bit. Plus, the songs have a good sense of groove; there are groovish riffs there, but they don't take away from the thrash. It's a good album.
I recommend it.

Act III is nothing compared to The Ultra-Violence. U-V is a more straightforward thrash album with lots of riffs, where-as Act III had other musical influences in it that took away from the thrashing.
Plus, Mistress Of Pain just slays.
Well I'll take those words into account while listening to U-V once its shipment arrives

Ryan, I didn't find the release date and track listing to be quite old news yet. Maybe Soulcollector and the Alliance of Hellhoundz, but not the rest of it. Ok I also forgot about most of the other stuff, but I saw things in there I never saw before.
For Europe, they said 15th of August, 3 days after my b-day. On there it says 22nd according to Blabbermouth. That must mean it's the rest of the world release date like it said on there site.
However, I'm going to start buying patches again and sewing them onto my new jacket and create a new one for the winter.

Exodus - Bonded By Blood
Face-ripping poseur slaying thrash:
Dark Angel - Darkness Descends
Slayer - Hell Awaits
Technical-thrash:
Coroner - No More Color
Watchtower - Energetic Disassembly
Obscure-sounding thrash:
Mekong Delta - The Music Of Erich Zann <--I <3 this band

I found out something horrific today.....The Overkill show on September 13th is an 18+ show :upset:
Well, since that's eliminated, maybe I'll end up going to Gigantour, but no Overkill :(
That sucks. What happened to me was on Megadeth's BTU tour last year, a show 30 minutes away was 16+, such bullshit, I don't even know how they check that crap for 16. I had to drive 2 and a half hours to Philly. AND I missed Overkill for the same reason.
Yeah, both bands already have three shows lined up for a US tour.
What are those dates?

I was shocked when I saw, just earlier, that it was an 18+ show. I've been raving about going to see Overkill way back since May, and now I've just found out I can't :(

Theres a list on the previous page, or maybe the page before that. Try some Kreator, Sodom, Destruction, Coroner, Mekong Delta, Holy Terror, Overkill, Nuclear Assault, Flotsam and Jetsam, etc. Just search around, you're bound to find something you like.

They are... but where in Canada do you live? They're playing Toronto in January... The 11th I think. Not sure if I'm going or not.
Okay, back from the shop.
Seeing as how you guys gave me hell for my mis-recommendation, I bought the Pleasure To Kill/Flag Of Hate EP rerelease so I could drill it into my head. :thumb:
I already have an original PtK disc, but this is good to have too.

I live 20 minutes south of Calgary, so a Calgary or Edmonton show would work for me.

You liketh the punk, so I'll start you off with more punkish sounding thrash.
Nuclear Assault - Game Over
Anthrax - State Of Euphoria and Among The Living
Some crossover/thrash:
Cro-Mags - Age Of Quarrel
D.R.I. - anything
"Happier-sounding" catchy thrash:
Overkill - The Years Of Decay
Exodus - Bonded By Blood
Face-ripping poseur slaying thrash:
Dark Angel - Darkness Descends
Slayer - Hell Awaits
Technical-thrash:
Coroner - No More Color
Watchtower - Energetic Disassembly
Obscure-sounding thrash:
Mekong Delta - The Music Of Erich Zann <--I <3 this band
\\\
That should get you started. :thumb:
Add Kreator - Pleasure To Kill under the face-ripping poseur killing category. :thumb:

Coma of Souls or Pleasure to Kill...which is my favorite.
I personally admire Coma of Souls more for the great acheivement of the musical complexity. Then again, I like a lot of riffs and well composed solos.
I'm just saying I'm really odd. Cheers to me :chug:

I too love Coma of Souls, its just a different style of thrash than Pleasure to Kill. They're both excellent in every way.

Well, you probably won't get the show then. You don't get anything good in Alberta.

VERY.
Coma of Souls is more technical riff-wise that Pleasure To Kill, but isn't as OMG THRASH RAPE intense as PtK. The leads on CoS fit the songs better than they do on PtK, but aren't as chaotic.
Still, get Coma. It's awesome. :thumb:
