George Carlin is an extraordinarily strong expert of the language: he looks at it, thinks about it, then thinks about it some more and twists and places the bits in the way you never thought possible.

Pair it with his consummate delivery skills: timing, pitch, slow climb to the peak - he is a true professional. And he is not just "bursting with energy" like some lesser comedians who substitute silly meaningless clowning on stage for professional comedy delivery: Carlin's energy is masterfully and skillfully channelled towards achieving his goal of lighting the fire of the audience.

It is hard to believe the record is now about 12 years old. It sounds fresh and the best tracks (Rape Can Be Funny; Feminist BJ; and the pinnacle of linguistic joy, Offensive Language) are absolute gems in the outstandingly rich collection of George Carlin.

Tracks:

1. Offensive Language

George takes the piss by saying that he has come up with a policy of words he wont say. Not swear words, just words that he doesn't like.

"now I'd like to begin tonight with an announcment"
"because of the FCC I'm never sure of what I am allowed to say, so, I know have my own officail policy"

2. I Ain't Afraid Of Cancer

He talks about cancer and how to cure it in this bit.

"you find out you got cancer, get yourself a bowl of ****in broccoli"

3. Some People Are Stupid

"And some people, there not stupid, there not fulla ****. 'Dere' ****in nuts! Dan Quale Is all 3! Stupid, Fulla **** and ****in nuts!"

4. Rape Can Be Funny

"Picture Porky Pig raping Elmer fudd" (You MUST hear this bit - best on CD)

5. Feminist Blowjob

he talks about how to piss of feminists

6. Good Idea

He talks about his "great" ideas such as roach sprays that doesn't kill the roaches but fills them full of self doubt to wether or not they are in the right house"

7. Things You Never See
8. Things You Never Hear
9. Things You Don't Wanna Hear

This section is hilarious, simply he talks about Things You Never See, Things You Never Hear & Things You Don't Want to Hear.

10. Life's Little Moments

Talks about your underwear getting stuck in the crack in your ***

11. I Love My Dog

Talks about Tippy (some old Carlin fans will know)
12. Organ Donor Programs

"you want somethin' from me? You can take my Anus and my Rectum"

13. Don't Pull The Plug On Me

He says how he hates people who say "Uh pull the plug on me, I dont wanna live"

14. They're Only Words

He talks about how words such as "Shellshock" have developed for the worse.

15. Eurphemisms

Outro... (I think)

I would personally recommend this album to ANYONE except it you are easily offended or if you are strongly religious.

5/5 Easily (Also check out George Carlin - Back In town)

Is this a single live performance or a bunch of "best of" kinda clips?

Pretty sure it's a single performance. It's one of his best as well. The only ones that top it would have to be "What Am I Doing in New Jersey?" (his best, you MUST have it) and "Back in Town."
