Sublime are one of the most influential bands ever in modern ska, reggae and punk circles. They were known for their catchy ska, chilled-out reggae, fast solos, walking bass and an overall lack of giving a **** what people thought.

There are only 10 tracks on this CD and it seems like a bit of a piss-take when a band has a greatest hits album with this many tracks. To be fare, they are all amazing tracks and there is a lot of variety on this album.
1. What I Got - Very laid-back acoustic song, almost hip-hop. Really cool solo.
2. Wrong Way - A great ska track in the usual 3rd wave style. Great lyrics and a trombone solo that sounds pretty random :p
3. Santeria - One of the best songs I have ever heard, without a doubt. This is as good as reggae gets.
4. 40 Oz. To Freedom - A slower ska song with a distorted chorus. Another good song to kick-back to.
5. Smoke Two Joints - Ska song with some cool solos. The lyrics in the first verse are a bit too obvious but it soon picks up.
6. Date Rape - A great fast ska song. Sax intro and some hilarious lyrics. Bitchin' solo :D
7. Saw Red - This track features Gwen Stefani from No Doubt. It's a cool ska-punk song and she really proves she can sing. After the weird intro the ska guitar kicks in and that little muting thing he does still brings a smile to my face. It taught me a lot about upstroke guitar.
8. Badfish - Slow reggae with an acoustic intro. Another awesome solo. Christ, he can pull them out of the bag.
9. Doin' Time - Decent hip-hop, and the first song of it's type that I actually liked. Catchy. I like the bassline on this one especially, it sounds really cool when it kicks in.
10. Pool Shark - I hadn't heard the punked-up version of this before I got the CD, only the acoustic version (which is still one of my favourite songs). This was recorded live, and to be honest it sounds like a bit of a mess (at least until you listen to it a few times). I can't help feeling that the acoustic version should be here, or Boss DJ.
There are also videos for What I Got and Wrong Way. What I Got basically shows the band and their mates having a laugh, and Wrong Way... **** knows what that's about :p
So there you go. It's a great album, but I don't know if I'd buy it full price (I bought it off eBay on the cheap). Since nearly every Sublime album I've seen here in a shop is around the £16 mark I opted for this instead. It's definately worth buying if you've heard a few songs and you like what you hear. It's also a very good album to take a chance with, as I'm sure everyone will find something they like on here.
