--new goat is indie pop?--

What is it? That is what it was listed as.

Jots
10.05.16
they're psych-rock iirc

SharkTooth
10.05.16
They're folk/psychedelic rock. Most people also refer to them as "world music"

Checking NAAT now, it's... alright. Haven't quite placed what my gripe with it is yet, but it's a good enough listen so far.

Unless someone's got a dib on it, I'll probably have a stab at reviewing it?

Archelirion
10.05.16
...never mind, just realised how this actually works. That'll teach me to read :]

Updated. Thanks for the editions. Sowing and I are only two people, so I'm sure there's plenty we miss. All the user contributions make these weekly news things even better.

New Feeder, too.

Leaves’ Eyes without Liv Kristine is a disgrace. Just change the band name you losers.

Voivod
10.05.16
Didn't know that Liv Kristine has left the band and it's still named Leaves' Eyes?

Hmmm, it seems that managers did their wondercraft once again.

manosg
10.05.16
Yep, fired once again from her "bandmates".

I guess Alex Krull's Beard isn't a sexy band name so they kept leave's Eyes without Liv smh.

Toondude10

pretty big week this one, quite a few albums I'm interested this week.

Didn't know Sonata Arctica had a new album, will certainly give that a spin

Voivod
10.05.16
Wait a minute manos...

From metal archives;

Leaves' Eyes first album was out in 2004 and Liv Kristine joined the band on 2013. So technically, it's not "her" band.

Voivod
10.05.16
^^My bad(!!), mistook 2003 for 2013!!!

Willie
10.05.16
That second part is totally wrong. She was with them from the beginning. It's her picture on the 2004 debut album.

Voivod
10.05.16
You are right Willie, sometimes it happens to the best of us :-P

manosg
10.05.16
For a minute I though Alexander Krull was using Voivod's account!

Voivod
10.05.16
^^hahahaha!!!

Willie
10.05.16
Right? He's trying to re-write history on all the metal sites so that he and his bands don't look like such pricks... ha ha.

On the other hand, their side of the story was that she wanted to leave and discussed it with the band, and then when the band officially announced it she turned around and pretended like she was shocked and totally unaware that she was getting 'kicked out'.

Voivod
10.05.16
"He's trying to re-write history on all the metal sites so that he and his bands don't look like such pricks... ha ha. "

Really? I had no clue, as I'm not such a big fan of the band.

Whatever side of the story applies, Kristine's departure is so critical in terms of line-up changes, that band needs to change its name.

manosg
10.05.16
My inner 16 year old will never get over Liv's firing from Theatre of Tragedy so I am always on her side no matter what.

SPRFanOf5H
10.06.16
Daya releases a new album this week too

Toondude10
10.07.16
