Genre: Punk // Label: Epitaph

Background:

Punk group The Menzingers release their 5th LP this Friday, on the heels of some pretty damned consistent critical praise.  If the singles are any indication, this will be one of their most explosive, passionate, and melodic releases to date.  Already garnering a 4.3 average across 25 user ratings, After The Party is clearly Sputnikmusic’s most anticipated release this week.  If you’re new to the party – pun intended – check out the album’s heartfelt title track below.

February is a slow month, there's only one album I'm anticipating. Things are gonna pick up big time in March though.

The new Menzingers is expectedly awesome. Listened to the new Elbow once, didn't make any big impression, but I loved the single, so I'll give it a few more spins.

There's loads of stuff coming up Boney - Sun Kil Moon, Pissed Jeans, Dirty Projectors, Strand of Oaks, Tiger Lillies, Jens Lekman and erm, Elbow.

Guessing you're hyped for the Ryan Adams? I think you'll like half of the list above too

@Doof, I'm aware of most of those but I'm trying to limit my intake of releases by artists new to me this year. If any of them get particualrly strong reviews/ratings I'll try 'em

"Already garnering a 4.3 average across 25 user ratings"

....really? Did you actually write that with a straight face? That happens with every hyped album on this site that is even half decent LOL

Might check out Soen. 2017 needs some goddamn post-metal.
