God bless you, Mr. Teacher guy

/

A few years ago this fixture would have had a very different set of standard pundit clichés riding on it (the perennial underachievers vs. the mighty defenders), but this meeting of two European greats nonetheless promises, as it has in its first half, to be one of the hottest contenders for least interesting game of the tournament. Bring on Bono V Croatia!

Italy: port-royal – ‘Flares Pt. 2′

…And what could be more fitting for the Italian defensive geniuses with an “educating” manager than some seriously academic ambient and/or post-rock music? port-royal don’t speak much, which makes their tenuous link something to do with their great defensive prowess. The silent 1-0 victory of instrumental music.

Spain: Los Planetas – ‘Parte de lo que me debes ‘

To keep in theme with the classical geniuses Dave was showing off for that wonderful Czech Rep/Russia game, here’s my take on the classics: Spanish indie pop. Twee but in seductive voices; Shout Out Louds could learn from this.

Hope Italy don't continue like this. "Hey guys, we've cheated, again, let's whine and bitch about being caught and somehow fluke ourselves to victories even though we've otherwise been playing shit recently just to justify it"

All I know is Pirlo still has magic on his feet, and Iniesta is a fucking genious.

Well that was an intense match. Italians were suprisingly good, Spain should have scored a second goal i guess.

yup, i was surprised just how "normal" the fight was. at times it was quite boring. spain should have brought a real attacker from the beginning.

Yeah true. Torres had some good chances

Di Natale is such an awesome player. Too bad he never had the chance of playing in a higher level, or for a bigger team. Shame...

lol torres, has he been saving a goal for the finals all season? but no, iniesta was mesmerising, man of the match for me

Iniesta and Casillas were equally amazing. I still can't believe how Ballotelli spaced out when he had the best chance for Italy.

Great game. Rooting for Spain, but I have respect for Italy so it's cool that they tied.
Can't wait for England to play- we're taking it, mates.

It's gonna be weird having every other person in the country and the media supporting the opposite team to me
