London Elektricity’s latest album Yikes! received pretty decent feedback upon release. But the music world moves fast, and Drum and Bass fans will now be gearing up for the Yikes! remix album, due later in July. With big names from the Hospital Records label like B-Complex, Danny Byrd and Logistics making an appearance, hopefully there’ll be something as stunning as Apex’s remix of Just One Second, High Contrast’s version of Remember, or his own acoustic version of Elektricity Will Keep Me Warm with Elsa Esmeralda.

A remix by the very promising Med School recruit Lung certainly offers one reason why the album is likely a must have for fans of Drum and Bass. The remix even receiving the praise of the Colminator himself via his twitter feed. For those wanting more previews, check out the album’s page on the Hospital Record’s website.

Apparently sputnik doesn't. Maybe I should have put in brackets (dubstep) in the title.

No, that only works if you call it devstep (apparently)

Sputnik doesn't know how to let loose, too many uptight indie kids here. Need to let their hair down

I liked Yikes! less than SC but this remix es pretty damn awesome, much better than the original song.

I want more by this Med School guy.

Yeah, everything on Yikes! I can dig, but nothing really grabs me like some of his earlier stuff did. (though I am not the biggest fan of Syncopated City).

And yeah, Lung is pretty cool, though there aint much out by him yet. Check out Afterlife, and Relapse on his soundcloud http://soundcloud.com/lung

Med School is a label Bap, a spin off from Hospital Records. Here's their youtube page:

Haven't listened to London Elektricity since Billion Dollar Gravy. Will have to get my DnB head back on and do some catch up. This sounds awesome

@baphomet stuff on Billion Dollar Gravy, Pull the Plug and Power Ballads eat it for breakfast, thats why. Album just slips past without me ever saying wow, and stuff like Apex's remix of Just One Second blow the originals out of the water.

Yikes! was decent and with the names on the remix album, I'm looking forward to hearing it.

Yikes was decent but not all that spectacular if compared to his other stuff... Maybe this will be somewhat better. He's still the best DnB producer today IMO

He is an extremely good producer. I'm not sure if he does live shows with a full band in the US, but if he ever does I'd recommend checking it out becuase its a very unique experince. Fully live drum n bass just doesn't happen enough.
