—————————————————————————————

This album has really been a decade in the making. Obviously Sarah Fimm hasn’t spent the last ten years writing for Near Infinite Possibility, but every previous release has been building to this. Each album has slowly saw Sarah’s songwriting skills increase and her reliance on electronics and sparse compositions fade. They have been little snapshots in time — displaying her gradual inclusion of additional instruments and guest musicians. This progress seemed to culminate with Red Yellow Sun in 2009, but apparently it was but another stepping stone.

Near Infinite Possibility sounds full and varied as it picks up where Red Yellow Sun left off and leaps forward another ten steps. It is a mixture of 70s psychedelic rock, alt. rock, moments of prog and elements of folk. It is a moody album that is sometimes dark and sometimes strange, but always excellent.

You two must be well aquainted for us to get all these perks.

Willie

I don't actually know her. It's called networking... or something.

I am right here guys.
I checked over every musician's name about 200 times, so if someone found a spelling error, please do tell me. I will wholeheartedly admit I am extremely flawed, and if you don't tell me about it, I may not sleep!

Thank you so much for doing this Trey. Just so you know, it's not really just about networking the way I see it. It is far more extraordinary than that. I see for some time now, you have made it a point to take an enthusiastic interest in new music, and in helping artists to be heard. Musicians need all the help they can get now from the fans in gaining visibility for that music. There is no system, and there is no money. Independent artists are inventing it as we go along. I cannot begin to explain my gratefulness to you, and I am so much looking forward to this week.

I love this site, and I love how all of you use filthy words too. from the mountain, Sarah

"Couldn't wait until later? ;)"

was gonna listen to something else instead but decided I was really in the mood for some Fimm. It was awesome, I didn't expect 'Everything Becomes Whole' to be part of this album; that was one of my favourite tracks from the Karma Phala compilation...or whatever it was

fimmlove
04.28.11
Haha! I found the spelling errors and it's only 6:41 am...they are not on the final art. This is an older version of the credits. We will try to fix today! Forward MARCH!

04.28.11
oh wow that's actually Sarah. You are incredible; your music is other-worldly.

Willie
04.28.11
Yeah, she put a few songs from this album on the Karma Phala Project as kind of a taste of things to come.

@Sarah: I agree with what you're saying about independent artists, and this site is pretty big on bringing attention to those kinds of artists. Plus, you've gained quite the following at this site ever since the White Birds EP. Ha ha, yeah, the user base here definitely knows how to throw in the dirty words ;)

Sanders
04.28.11
Sarah, this site was the reason I came across your music, so it makes it worth putting up with all the foul-mouthed comments! I shall be picking this up on the day of its release, you have an abundance of talent :)

04.28.11
Sanders thank you so much! It means so much I can't even tell you. You guys are wonderful and I just love this! I am on fire this morning and it's pouring rain. So much to be done....two little hands...! I will be checking back often, I appear to have an internet addiction...;)

Sanders
04.28.11
Haha no worries, you're welcome :) the Sputnik addiction is the main reason why I'm currently here and not studying...it could be a career destroyer.
