Much better release week.

Also, the staff top 10 is better too, while the general users still can't get off of the same top 5 (shuffled around a bit, but basically the same).

I'm wondering how this lists of the most played artists actually work. 1 point per 10 listens?

Nothing exciting for me this week.

Willie

I think that each person only counts for one play no matter how many times they listen to an artist throughout the week. So, if I listen to Thrice once during the entire week and Portishead 50 times, they still only count as one play for me.

Yeah. It makes sense. So I guess they count 1 vote to your most played artist of the week or is the vote somehow parted?

Say, for the staff play count, we have 18 people so if four of us listen to Big Boi one time each and then three of us listen to Beastie Boys fifty times each, the tally will still only show that Big Boi was listened to by four members and Beastie Boys by just three - making Big Boi higher on the list despite only four total plays compared to 150 plays for Beastie Boys. It was done that way so that people couldn't artificially raise a band's position by just playing a song over and over (or just manually altering a play count before scrobbling). So, it tallys all of our plays through the week (but, again, no matter how many times we listen to an artist it only counts as one per a person) and just takes the top 10 most played artists

Now I get it. Thanks. That's why users' list won't change very often I assume.
