Zapp was a Funk and R&B group from the 80's. They were fronted by Roger Troutman who was known best for his use of the talkbox on every Zapp album (from I-V), as well as his solo material. They had a string of hits in the early to late 80's. As of 2008, they have released 6 albums. Roger Troutman has released 3 solo records as well before his death. Zapp VI was released with the remaining members in 2004. Also, The music of Zapp was featured in the music for the movie "Friday".
