Wild Orchid

Wild Orchid was a female R&B trio from California that first formed in 1990. Originally formed under the name of NRG and as a four piece, the group ended up changing their name to Wild Orchid by late 1992. After the departure of member Micki Duran, Wild Orchid then continued on as a trio of Stacy Ferguson, Renee Sandstrum and Stefanie Ridel. Today, Wild Orchid is primarily known as the first group of Furguson, who would later become known as Fergie, and, after departing from the group in late 2001, she joined the popular pop band The Black Eyed Peas. Sandstrom and Ridel attempted to carry on temporarily as a duo, although Wild Orchid later ended up splitting for good in late 2003.
