Wild Orchid was a female R&B trio from California that first formed in 1990. Originally formed under the name of NRG and as a four piece, the
groupended up changing their name to Wild Orchid by late 1992. After the departure of member Micki Duran, Wild Orchid then continued on as
a trio ofStacy Ferguson, Renee Sandstrum and Stefanie Ridel. Today, Wild Orchid is primarily known as the first group of Furguson, who would
later becomeknown as Fergie, and, after departing from the group in late 2001, she joined the popular pop band The Black Eyed Peas.
Sandstrom and Ridelattempted to carry on temporarily as a duo, although Wild Orchid later ended up splitting for good in late 2003.
