Wiener Philharmoniker

The Wiener Philharmoniker (English name: Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra), formed in 1842, is one of the most esteemed orchestras of all time.They are especially well-known for their stringent recruiting process, allowing only the finest musicians from Europe and around the globe tobecome permanent members.

As a result, the Wiener Philharmoniker often tops critics' lists and opinion polls as the best in the world. Many of history's most respectedconductors have performed with them, including but not limited to Leonard Bernstein, Wilhelm Furtwängler, Georg Solti, Herbert von Karajan,Carlos Kleiber, Pierre Boulez and even composer Gustav Mahler.
