While The City Sleeps is a swedish group of 6 twenty-and-somes playing organic indie rock mashed up with cello, piano and female background vocals. Musically the debut Back When We Knew (May 2011) relies much on strong melodies and climactic build-ups, venturing between influences such as upbeat Arcade Fire, experimental Radiohead and moodful Sigur Ros. Themes vary between nostalgia, first love and not belonging.
