Volbeat is a heavy metal band from Copenhagen, Denmark, founded in 2001. Their first album, The Strength/The
Sound/The Songs, was released in 2005 and the follow up, Rock the Rebel/Metal the Devil, was released in Denmark on
February 19, 2007, and in the rest of Europe on February 26, 2007. In March 2007, it topped the Danish album chart as the
best selling album, the first metal album ever to do so.

heavy metal and rockabilly. They are inspired by the rock n’ roll legends Elvis Presley and Johnny Cash, as well as
modern hard rock, groove metal, alternative rock and hardcore groups.
Their current line-up consists of vocalist and guitarist Michael Poulsen, bassist Anders Kjølholm, guitarist Rob Caggiano, and
drummer Jon Larsen. The band is signed to Vertigo Records and has released four studio albums and one DVD. All of their studio
albums have been certified certified gold or higher in Denmark. Rock the Rebel/Metal the Devil received platinum status, while
Guitar Gangsters and Cadillac Blood and its 2010 follow-up Beyond Hell/Above Heaven were subject to widespread international
critical acclaim, with the latter receiving double platinum in Denmark, platinum in Finland and Germany, and gold in Sweden and
Austria. Volbeat's fifth album entitled "Outlaw Gentlemen & Shady Ladies" is due to be released worldwide on April 9, 2013. « hide |
