After the split of Kyuss, the members then took the usual route and formed new bands, Josh started Gamma Ray (now-queens of the Stone Age), and held his desert sessions, along with Alfrado Hernandez. While Scott Reader went on to work with Nebula and several other bands and just released a solo album. John Garcia formed Unida, after the short lived Slo-burn, they are more of a straight-up rock as opposed to Kyuss' spacey as hell jams.
