UA is a Japanese singer. She is considered outside the mainstream. Her first hit album 11 was strictly pop, but was funky and had indie appeal. Later albums had reggae and jazz influencs. Her musical talents later attracted top muscians and producers and she collabrated with many artists of various genres.
